Chapter 24: Chapter 24: Conquering Sokovia I
(3rd Person: POV)
Staring at the two men before him Victor wanted to ground them into dust and make them beg for death.
For they not only had the audacity to attack someone under his protection, but to do so in his home.
They had crossed a line none should ever cross.
Now they were about to face the consequences of their actions.
Raising his left hand in the men's direction Victor telekinetically pulled the pistol equipped with the silencer out of the hands of the man who was holding it. Pulling it into his own.
Once he had the gun in his grip Doom squeezed without any hesitation.
Destroying the weapon in an instant.
Then as he dropped it to the ground he used his telekinesis to grab hold of the two men and slightly lift them up into the air.
Victor then telekinetically snapped both men's arms and legs.
Then before they could even scream because of the pain he had just inflicted them Victor put them to sleep using his telepathy.
Once he did this the door to Sable room opened up and two Doombots entered it.
Victor having used his technopathy to call them inside.
As the Doombots reached the two unconscious men Victor placed them in the robots grasps.
"Take them to the dungeon." Victor ordered.
He got confirmation from the two Doombots, who then carried the two men away.
Once they out of the room Doom turned around to face Sable.
Getting a nice view of all she had to offer, since she was wearing a grey nightgown.
Moving on.
"Ms. Sablinova are you okay?" Doom asked.
"Yes. I am." Sable replied. "Also, thank you for your assistance."
"No thanks is necessary. For you are a guest in my home and thus under my protection." Doom retorted. "And do not worry about the rest of your entourage for before I came to your assistance I dispatched Doombots to attend to them." He explained.
Along with bots to protect Kristoff and Boris.
Especially since Victor had no idea if any more members of the Symkaria entourage were not what they appeared.
That's why as soon as one of the security measures he has installed throughout the castle had alerted him to Sable's predicament he put his entire home on lockdown.
Because one incident was already enough, and Victor was not going to have another.
"I see." Sable replied. "Then you have my gratitude." She said. "As well as my apologies. I did not mean to bring strife into your home. Nor your country."
"As I have just said you have no reason to apologize Ms. Sablinova." Victor said. "I can reasonably conclude this incident is not of your making. And that you are just a victim in it. So you are not to blame for this. No, that honor belongs to another."
Who Victor will make wish they were dead the moment he got his hands on them.
But first he must deal with the immediate issues before him.
Namely the enemies in his castle.
"Excuse me." Victor said.
He then left Sable's room, and closed the door behind him as he did.
Namely so she could get properly dressed.
But also so he could begin dealing with the rats infesting his home.
Moving with no hesitation in his steps Victor quickly arrived in the palaces throne room.
He then moved to take a seat on his throne, and clasped his hands together in front of him. Beginning to wait as his Doombots escorted everyone he wanted to see to the throne room.
Including Silver Sable.
Who although Victor had left alone, was still being monitored by the security measures of the castle and a Doombot, just to be on the safe side.
Because even though he had seen no deception in Silver Sable's actions, nor in her thoughts when he telepathically scanned her mind a few moments ago, he wanted to air on the side of caution.
For no one will fool Doom more than once, if they even get a chance to fool him at all.
Twenty minutes passed, before all those Victor wanted to see were assembled in the throne room. Having been escorted there by his Doombots.
Which was the entirety of the rest of the Symkarian diplomatic party. Including Sable.
Once everyone was there Doom didn't hesitate and used his telepathy to delve into each of their minds.
In doing so finding one more hostile individual like the two men from earlier.
A young female aid, who was doing her best to look and act scared.
But her thoughts betrayed her.
Literally.
Since the woman was already planning to go through with some sort contingency plan as soon as she left the throne room, and simply kill Sable before taking herself out. Using the cyanide capsule embedded in one of her teeth.
A good plan.
But in front of Dr. Doom it was less than nothing.
Using his telepathy Victor quickly knocked out the hostile woman.
As she fell to the ground, the rest of the Symkarian entourage turned in her direction.
They then got ready to move to her aide, before Victor spoke up.
"Halt." He said. Drawing all eyes to him. "That woman you are about to help is a traitor who was planning to kill Ms. Sablinova before herself." He quickly explained.
"And where is your proof of this?" Romeo asked.
Victor expecting that question.
He then got ready to answer.
Only for Silver Sable to speak up.
"Romeo, there is no need to doubt Victor." She said. "He just saved my life, and protected me from two of our own. The ones who are missing right now. I trust him. So if he says the girl is a traitor and a danger then I for one believe him."
Slightly surprising Victor.
Since he not think Silver Sable would defend him so easily. But sometimes it pays to be wrong.
Hearing Sable speak the others in the entourage stood down. Even Romeo.
Showing Victor just how much respect and trust Sable received from her comrades.
He liked that.
It also made him like her even more.
"Your confidence where this matter is concerned is appreciated Ms. Sablinova." Victor spoke up. "Now then, take her away." He ordered his Doombots. Pointing to the unconscious woman.
So they did as instructed and took her away.
Victor making sure to instruct his Doombots using his technopathy to remove the woman's cyanide, and search her in case she had any other methods to suicide.
He also ordered the same for the two othre prisoners.
Then once he did that Victor began promptly explaining what had occurred earlier in regards to Sable. How he intervened and saved her from would-be assassins.
Hearing the story the remaining members of the Symkarian entourage were filled with anger.
Romeo in particular.
"Now you see why I instructed my Doombots to bring you all before me." Victor said. Once he finished telling the story. "And too that end until I know what exactly is going on here none of you will be leaving the throne room." He said. "Except for Ms. Sablinova, who will accompany me as I interrogate the prisoners."
"What, but they're Symkarian citizens." A member of the entourage spoke up. "You can't simply just interrogate them."
"I can and I will." Victor immediately replied. Leaving no room for objection to his words. "For they may be your fellow citizens but they committed a crime in my country, no my home. And for that they shall face my punishment." He explained.
Victor then stood up and walked up to Sablinova.
"If you would, follow me Ms. Sablinova." Victor spoke.
"Of course." Sable replied. "For I too wish to get to the bottom of this." She spoke. Sable then turned to the others. "Let us do as king Victor asks."
Hearing this the entourage agreed.
Seeing this Victor then began leading Sablinova out of the throne room.
Leaving the entourage there, several Doombots watching over them.
While the pair who walked the castle halls, eventually reached their destination.
The dungeons.
Where several Doombots were waiting.
Who then formed up around Victor and Sable the moment they arrived.
"So, I see you did not tell your fellow countrymen about the abilities I have displayed thus far. Nor do you yourself seemed disturbed by them." Doom spoke.
Wanting to address that particular issue before proceeding ahead with the interrogations.
"Given what I do, and how long I have been doing it I've seen many things. Even other individuals with extraordinary powers such as yours." Sable spoke. "I also don't see a reason for my countrymen to know of your abilities since you aren't using them against us. At least as far as I know."
"You are placing a great amount of trust of me. Even though we just met a short while ago." Victor spoke.
"True." Sable replied. "But you don't get to be where I am without learning how to see the true intentions of a person a few minutes after meeting them, and I have seen your intentions Victor. You seek to help your people and your country. And will not go looking for enemies, but if come looking for you then they'll wish they hadn't. I can respect a man like that. As well as put my faith in him. Then again I could be wrong."
"I assure you you are not." Victor retorted.
"Well I have to see that with my own eyes." Sable replied.
Victor simply nodded his head at her words.
Once he did the pair got moving again.
Arriving at the cell where the three hostile individuals were waiting, their bodies chained to the cell wall, Victor woke them up using a burst of telepathy.
Then before any of them could even utter a word he delved into their minds and took what he wanted.
For this was an interrogation Dr. Doom style.
In no time at all Victor found what he was looking for.
The information on who gave the three before him their orders.
The person in question being none other than Symkaria's own, and current, Klaus Limka.
But those orders were only in regards to sabotaging the diplomatic visit, and making sure Latverian and Symkarian relations completely fell apart.
In regards to who gave the order to have Silver Sable killed it came from the three hostile individuals true leader.
One Baron Wolfgang Von Strucker.
A man who is one of the current heads of HYDRA.
The three people before him HYDRA agents.
After learning this, and several more intersting bits of information Victor stopped telepathically probing the minds of the three prisoners and then put them back to sleep.
He then turned to Sable's direction. "Ms. Sablinova, do not be alarmed at what is about to happen. I am simply sharing with you what I have just learned." Victor spoke.
The man then did just that, and shared all he had just learned telepathically from the prisoners mind with Sable in her own.
When the mind transfer of information was finished, and Sable had a minute to process, she went through a slew of emotions within seconds.
Disgust, fear, disappointment, but most of all pure anger.
Victor sharing the same sentiments.
For HYDRA had tried to fuck with him, and now they will pay the price.
"Ms. Sablinova, I think given what has happened a face to face meeting between King Stefan and I is prudent to discuss our two countries movements in dealing with this situation going forward. Wouldn't you agree?"
"Yes." Sable replied.
"Excellent." Victor spoke.
Putting a devilish smile on his face under his mask.
For it seems Sokovia will enter his grasp sooner than anticipated.
