I am Chosen Villain

Chapter 9: The First God Falls

The heavens wept.

Clouds churned in agony, swirling with golden divine light, as if the very will of the world rejected what had just transpired. The celestial enforcer staggered backward, a hand pressed to his wound—a wound that should not have been possible.

Divine beings did not bleed.

Celestial law was absolute.

Fate was unshakable.

And yet, the red stain on his palm told another story.

Gu Tianxian tilted his head, crimson eyes gleaming in the storm of divine wrath above him. His lips curled into something between amusement and disdain.

"You're looking at me like you've seen a ghost."

The enforcer's golden eyes flickered with something close to fear. "What... are you?"

Gu Tianxian stepped forward, the ground beneath him cracking under the weight of an unseen force. His dagger, still dripping with celestial blood, pulsed with a hunger that should not exist.

The system whispered in his mind.

[Celestial Blood Absorbed.]

[Divinity Resistance +1%.]

He chuckled. "What am I?"

Then, he disappeared.

A gust of wind. A distortion in space.

By the time the enforcers registered his movement, Gu Tianxian was already inside their formation.

His dagger sang—a blur of shadow and crimson light.

A second enforcer faltered. His spear moved too slow. His divine senses screamed too late.

Gu Tianxian's blade found its mark—his throat.

The world froze.

Golden ichor sprayed across the battlefield. A celestial being—a guardian of fate itself—toppled from the sky, his divine essence shattering as his body crashed into the mortal realm.

The heavens trembled. The celestial palace, high above the clouds, quaked as a golden pillar—one of the great keystones of fate—collapsed.

The Lord of Fate rose from his throne, his hands tightening around the air itself. "This... this should not be."

Mortal eyes could not comprehend the weight of a god's rage.

Lightning carved through the sky, splitting mountains and rivers apart. The heavens roared, and a decree echoed across existence itself:

"ANOMALY! DEFILER OF DESTINY! YOU SHALL BE ERASED!"

Gu Tianxian merely wiped the celestial blood from his cheek. He looked up at the sky, unfazed.

Then, with a smirk, he whispered:

"Try."

The heavens howled in fury. The war had truly begun.
