I am a Primitive Man

Chapter 728: Beware When Simple-Minded Primitive People Meet Cunning and Devious Modern People

"Don't worry, I will make them reveal the whereabouts of your leader and rescue all your tribe members."

Inside the room, Han the Great Divine Child pretended to be calm and reassuring as he comforted Old Yang, then started making some arrangements…

Night fell. The four Semi-Farming tribe members, tied up and locked inside a pig pen, still had old wounds unhealed, and now had new injuries.

They couldn't sleep, partly because of the pain, and partly because they were starving.

Their hunger was justified—tonight, the tribe gave them only a small half bowl of boiled greens each.

Despite this, their spirits remained relatively high.

Because this afternoon, when faced with the cruel interrogators, none of them had revealed a single word.

Now these cruel people wanted to make them submit by starving them, but that was impossible.

A few people from the Green Sparrow tribe arrived without saying a word, grabbing three of them and dragging them away.

One of them shouted something, reminding the others not to forget the decision they had made.

"Slap! Slap!"

That person was mercilessly slapped.

But even so, he felt a strange relief in his heart.

The three who were taken away were locked up separately, unable to see each other.

Yet they weren't too scared—they were mentally prepared to face whatever beatings and questioning these cruel people would bring.

However, after waiting for quite a while, no one came.

These cruel tribe people abandoned them there, as if they had forgotten entirely.

This unexpected development left them uneasy, and they didn't fall asleep until very late…

The night passed uneventfully.

The next morning, Eldest Senior Brother and the others came and brought the four men out of their separate cells.

In front of the other three, they roughly shoved one person into a room and closed the door.

The room's windows and door were shut tight, making the light very dim.

After a while, the Semi-Farming tribesman gradually adjusted to the dim light and saw what was inside.

The few who had beaten him the previous day were all present, along with a relatively young but high-ranking member of the tribe.

The Semi-Farming tribesman bit his lip, bracing himself for a beating, and prepared to die unyieldingly.

But no beating or questioning came.

These people sat behind a strange-looking object, holding bowls, and slowly ate their food.

The aroma made the Semi-Farming tribesman's stomach growl loudly, and he quietly swallowed.

It turned out these evil people were planning to use food to make him submit.

Seeing through it all, the tribesman smiled to himself.

Though hungry and craving food, he would never betray the tribe's secrets to get a meal.

Yet what happened next stunned him again—these people didn't ask a single question, just ate the delicious-smelling food by themselves without even glancing at him.

The person sitting in the middle, not too old, put down his ceramic bowl and sticks, glanced over at him as if suddenly remembering his presence, then said something.

The men who brought the tribesman in walked over holding something sharper than a bone dagger.

They were finally going to interrogate him—and they had knives!

The tribesman steeled himself, determined never to speak.

The knife grazed his flesh, moving back and forth, but he barely felt the pain.

Instead, the ropes on his hands and feet were loosened.

Seeing the cut ropes lying on the floor and the man's gesture indicating he was free to leave, the tribesman was utterly confused.

He didn't understand why they brought him here without asking anything and then untied him.

Han Cheng, however, didn't give him time to think. After cutting the ropes, he let Eldest Senior Brother and the others assist him.

Because of the long time tied up, poor food, and beatings, the tribesman could barely walk; it looked like Eldest Senior Brother and the others were supporting him, making the scene ambiguous.

The other three watched this suspiciously, especially the one who had given advice the night before, frowning deeply.

The Eldest Senior Brother and the others ignored them and helped the tribesman towards the back, followed by someone carrying delicious food.

A moment later, Eldest Senior Brother and the others came out, leaving the tribesman and the food inside.

Then, without a word, they carried another person into a windowless, doorless room.

The freed tribesman looked at the fragrant food, glanced around to confirm no one else was there, and after a while, couldn't resist and began to eat.

If the evil tribe planned to use food to force him to talk, he wouldn't have touched it.

But now, with no one around and no one threatening him, starving as he was, he naturally didn't hold back.

"Speak. Where is your tribe located? Why did you attack the Sheep Tribe…"

In the dark room, Han Cheng's voice rang out.

Mao translated Han Cheng's words to the second tribesman brought in.

But the tribesman remained silent.

Han Cheng said, "Not talking? Even if you don't speak, I already know about your tribe. It's not like the others won't talk. The one before already told me everything."

"Hmph…"

Upon hearing Mao's translation, the determined silent tribesman started mumbling and muttering agitatedly.

"Impossible? That's just your opinion. Not everyone is as brave as you."

Han Cheng sneered.

Then, with his signal, Old Yang slid open a small wooden panel on the back wall, letting some light shine into the room.

The tied-up tribesman was pulled up by two men and made to look out the small hole.

Outside the little hole was the place where the first tribesman was held.

At that moment, the first tribesman was greedily eating from the jar, unaware that a small hole had appeared in the wall.

Seeing this, the second tribesman trembled all over…
