"So, have you decided where to build the headquarters?"
After finalizing the plan, Illumi inquired of King Bradley.
"I've decided to locate the headquarters in Esmeraldas State, a sparsely populated small city within Pegrossa."
Pegrossa, full name the United Nations of Pegrossa, was equivalent to Australia in Hunter x Hunter's world.
The United Nations of Pegrossa was a developed capitalist country with a highly urbanized population; almost half of its citizens resided in the country's two largest cities.
Of its more than seven million square kilometers of land, over ninety percent was uninhabited wilderness, a vast desert.
Illumi opened the world map on his computer, his brows slightly furrowed.
King Bradley's choice of location for the headquarters would incur extremely high labor costs, making it not cost-effective upon careful calculation.
"The headquarters will focus on research, undertaking less than ten percent of the production tasks."
King Bradley noticed Illumi's change in expression and immediately explained.
Later, when production needed to expand, areas with low labor costs like the Republic of Locario and the Republic of Has would be the regions for the main production tasks.
"Let's go take a look first."
Illumi and King Bradley closed their computers and stood up, walking out of the room.
"Everyone, gather all your belongings, get your business visas in order. We are heading to Pegrossa."
King Bradley said kindly to everyone in the living room. Unlike the image Illumi usually saw of him, King Bradley now exuded a completely leader-like aura.
"We're moving so quickly, I'm so excited I can't control myself!"
A pink-haired girl immediately leaped up from the sofa. A strand of blue hair extended down her forehead. She appeared to be around twenty years old.
She was a member of King Bradley's team, specializing in the study of various ancient texts, and currently served as the team's linguist and translator.
"Stop jumping, Fanny, hurry up and pack your things."
The others also looked excited. This team currently only had seven members. Including Illumi and King Bradley, there were only nine people in total.
But even among these few, there were a pharmacist, a botanist, a pathologist, a microbiologist, a linguist, an archaeologist.
And, a martial artist.
A week later.
Illumi and King Bradley's group of nine, having packed all their belongings and obtained their business visas, took an airship to Pattyrus, the largest city in the United Nations of Pegrossa.
Pattyrus, located on the southeastern coast of the United Nations of Pegrossa, was the capital of Esmeraldas State and a world-renowned international metropolis.
"There don't seem to be many people."
But as an international metropolis, with a population of less than five million, it boasted a land area of over ten thousand square kilometers—a typical example of a large land area with a small population.
Therefore, Illumi and his eight companions, having come from the Republic of Tartarus, did not feel the crowding typical of most large cities.
Instead, due to the sparse population, they experienced the quiet beauty of a metropolis.
"It's quite late today. Let's set off tomorrow."
Illumi looked up at the sky. It was already dusk.
The sun set in the west, and the golden afterglow illuminated the international metropolis of Pattyrus, draping the quiet city in a golden coat.
At night, Illumi and his group rested at an outdoor cafe, admiring Pattyrus's beautiful city nightscape.
"Rare moments of leisure."
Illumi sat on a comfortable cafe chair, savoring this brief tranquility and warmth.
Cities in various countries each had their own characteristics, with none being inherently superior or inferior. Experiencing the beautiful scenery of different places around the world was also a pleasant enjoyment.
The group of nine found a five-star hotel to stay in, rested well for a night, and slowly woke up at eight o'clock the next morning.
They weren't here for tourism; serious business was at hand.
After finishing breakfast in the hotel's first-floor restaurant, they waited in the lobby.
King Bradley made a phone call. Thirty minutes later, a chubby man in a suit appeared in the hotel lobby, panting as he approached King Bradley.
Illumi looked at him with slight curiosity. King Bradley introduced him.
"This is Hammer, a local. Our agent in Pegrossa."
Hammer immediately bowed and nodded repeatedly to Illumi with a fawning smile, looking at King Bradley with obvious reverence.
He wondered what King Bradley had done to him to make him so respectful.
"How are things progressing?"
Illumi nodded slightly. King Bradley looked at the sweating Hammer and asked in a deep voice.
"As per your request, a plot of land has been purchased in the suburbs of Bilo City. The local government documents have also been approved."
"As soon as you transfer the next batch of funds, the construction team can immediately begin work."
King Bradley stood up, walked to Hammer, patted his shoulder, and gave him an 'amiable' smile like a president.
"Very good, you've done well."
"I was wondering what I would do if you had made a complete mess of things."
As King Bradley patted Hammer's shoulder, Hammer's body trembled with each pat. Fine beads of sweat constantly broke out on his forehead, which he incessantly wiped with a handkerchief.
"Let's go."
Illumi also stood up. From Pattyrus to the rural town of Bilo City was over a hundred kilometers, usually taking more than two hours to reach.
However, King Bradley specifically had Hammer buy several luxury cars locally as transportation, and also hired some temporary staff.
Money made one a god anywhere; it was the god before whom the penniless would kneel and kiss their toes.
With King Bradley spending vast sums to pave the way, problems ceased to be problems. What were originally problems would become non-problems.
By using Hammer, a local, as his agent, and supplementing with money, they could achieve a powerful effect of accelerating policy approvals.
Two hours later, Illumi and his group finally arrived at Bilo City, a rural town adjacent to Pattyrus.
There were no tall buildings. As far as the eye could see, the streets were lined with detached or semi-detached villas.
It was evident that the living standards of the people here were quite good.
"This is the place."
The car continued for ten minutes, stopping at a barren plot of land. Everyone alighted.
"When can construction begin?"
Illumi looked at the vast barren land before him and asked Hammer, the agent.
"As long as your funds are in place, we can begin work this morning."
Hammer bowed and scraped, an extremely fawning demeanor.
"You have half a year to build up the main production areas."
King Bradley looked down at Hammer, giving him a precise figure.
"Okay, no problem."
Hammer quickly nodded, wiping the sweat from his forehead with a handkerchief.
For some reason, facing King Bradley, he always felt like he was facing the President of Pegrossa, even though he had never actually met the President.
