Chapter 472: Chapter 473: My Hair is Gone!
"Woo… X_X"
Gabriel sat on the sofa, eating ice cream with teary eyes. It seemed as though she was trying to use the cold sweetness to numb her sadness.
"Are these wings tasty?" Kanna asked softly, eyeing Gabriel's bare angel wings.
"If they were cooked properly, they probably would be," Nakiri Erina replied, her head tilting slightly as she pondered the idea.
Hearing it, Gabriel froze.
Whoosh!
She quickly wrapped her arms protectively around her bare wings, glaring at Kanna and Erina with suspicion. Her wide eyes seemed to say, These two could actually be capable of anything!
"Alright, don't scare her," Alexander interjected, rolling his eyes at the pair. "You guys are such foodies; stop plotting to eat angel wings."
"Now, tell me—whose prank is this?"
Alexander turned his sharp gaze toward the group of girls in the room. But instead of confessions, he was met with innocent faces and curious glances, none of them taking responsibility.
"Gabriel, what exactly are your feathers useful for?"
"They can cause amnesia," Gabriel replied with a small nod.
"Amnesia?" Alexander raised an eyebrow, glancing around at the group. "Well, I doubt anyone here is eager to lose their memory."
Gabriel's expression turned even more pitiful as she looked at Alexander with teary eyes. "Alexander… my hair is gone! Look at me! I'm bald, and it's so ugly!"
Seeing her lovely yet miserable appearance, Alexander couldn't help but chuckle softly. Gently patting her bare wings, he said, "Honestly, I think baldness suits you."
Elsewhere.
Princess Syalis, oblivious to Gabriel's plight, was sleeping soundly in her room. She lay curled up on her wooden bed, nestled into pillows stuffed with angel feathers.
Her dreams must have been as sweet as her slumber, as she murmured faintly in her sleep, her words too soft to be understood.
Meanwhile, in a shadowy ruin, the Villain Alliance had gathered for the first time in ages.
"Alexander's strength keeps growing," Magane said, addressing the group.
"Have you all heard?"
At first, Magane Chikujoin had been impressed by the Alliance's power. But now…
The Black Mage was missing, the Ice Demon was dead, the Explosive Ghost had defected, the Goddess had surrendered to the enemy, and Orochimaru was entirely preoccupied with his pursuit of immortality. Whatever confidence she'd once had in the Alliance had all but vanished.
"Just look at you all!" White Dragon snapped, slamming his fist on the table. "I used to think we had potential, but now? You're all useless!"
"White Dragon, are you sure about this? I doubt you're a match for Alexander," Orochimaru said flatly, his gaze unwavering.
White Dragon's eyes narrowed. "You can't know until I've fought him!"
"Well, good luck to you," Orochimaru replied with a small bow, his tone neutral.
He respected White Dragon's strength but also understood Alexander's overwhelming power. There was always an air of despair around Alexander, as though he could unveil a new, more terrifying ability whenever you thought you'd figured him out.
Before White Dragon could respond, a sudden commotion interrupted the tense atmosphere.
Boom!
A figure descended from the sky. It was an elderly gentleman with white hair, accompanied by a young girl sporting a single ponytail.
"Marquis Voban? You're here too?" Magane asked, recognizing him immediately.
"So, this is the Villain Alliance," Marquis Voban said coldly, his eyes scanning the room.
"That's right," Orochimaru replied with a calm nod. "But I didn't expect you to be still alive. That's… surprising."
Orochimaru's words nearly made Marquis Voban explode with rage. He clearly recalled his last battle with Alexander, one that had nearly cost him his life. It had taken him a full month to recover.
"Ahem! Who do you think I am? Killing me isn't that easy!"
Despite Marquis Voban's prideful words, the group exchanged skeptical glances, black lines practically forming on their faces.
"Alright, old man," someone muttered. "You clearly didn't come here just to chat. What do you want?"
Marquis Voban smirked, a dangerous glint in his eyes. "I'm here to join your group."
The room fell silent. His declaration was unexpected, but the fierce determination in his gaze was unmistakable.
Looking at him, the members of the Villain Alliance began to whisper among themselves.
