Hp:Merlin From Azkaban

Chapter 14: 14

"Yes,"

Harry replied,

"I am."

Ron immediately became excited,

"Wow, that's amazing!"

Dana watched their interaction from the side—

It was the same as in the original, from looking at the lightning scar to buying snacks. He felt like he had bought a ticket for an immersive movie.

Ron was extremely envious when he saw Harry casually spending eleven silver Sickles and seven bronze Knuts.

He also really wanted to eat the snacks Harry brought back, but he couldn't bring himself to ask.

"Are you hungry?" Ron asked.

"Yeah, I'm starving," Harry admitted, taking a big bite of a pumpkin pasty before glancing at Dana.

"I was too excited this morning and forgot to go downstairs for breakfast. Hannah didn't bring me any either."

Dana shook his head,

"Harry, you're really confused. Hannah is also a first-year this year."

"Oh, right!"

Ron looked at Harry, then at Dana.

"Are you guys close?"

Harry nodded.

"We lived together at the Leaky Cauldron before. We're good friends."

"Wow, that's really nice," Ron muttered, pulling out a paper box and opening it. Inside were four cut sandwiches.

"Mum always forgets that I don't like corned beef…"

Dana frowned. This kid doesn't know how good he has it!

Then he heard Harry say,

"Ron, why don't you trade sandwiches with me? I really want to try your mum's cooking."

"Oh, you might not like it…" Ron said hesitantly, though he still exchanged a pasty with Harry.

"Ron, just eat whatever you want. Dana and I can't eat that much anyway. Right, Dana?"

Dana nodded.

"Yes, I don't like snacks."

Ron glanced at Dana, muttering in his heart— Weirdo! What kid doesn't like snacks?

Soon, Harry and Ron became close friends.

In reality, Harry and Ron were proper peers. Dana, counting his previous life, was already forty years old.

As they opened chocolate frogs, they drew cards featuring famous wizards—Dumbledore, Hengist, Alberic, Circe, Paracelsus, and Merlin.

"Is this Merlin? The greatest wizard of all time?" Harry asked.

"Yes, Harry," Ron answered, slipping into his self-proclaimed role as Harry's guide to the wizarding world.

"Merlin is indeed amazing. It is said that he could transform into various animals and people, but I think Dumbledore is probably even more powerful."

Harry nodded, not sure if he agreed or not.

"Ah! Look, Merlin in the portrait looks a lot like Dana!"

"What?"

Ron leaned over to take a closer look.

Although he already had a few Merlin cards, he had never looked at them seriously.

The Merlin in the portrait had a bald forehead and a clump of white goatee on his chin.

Aside from the wrinkles on his face, his facial features were indeed eighty percent similar to Dana's, especially his eyes, which were almost identical.

"Okay, it does look a bit similar," Ron admitted.

"It's just that I don't really like Merlin."

Harry was curious,

"Why?"

"Because it is said that Merlin was from Slytherin House."

Dana shook his head slightly—Hogwarts was founded around 990 AD, while Merlin's most active years were in the fourth and fifth centuries.

Salazar Slytherin hadn't even been born yet!

Perhaps some little snake from Slytherin wanted to add glory to their house, which is why there was a rumor that Merlin came from Slytherin.

But only children who didn't know history would believe such things.

"What is Slytherin House? Why don't you like him because Merlin was from Slytherin House?"

Ron widened his eyes slightly. Isn't this common knowledge?

But when he thought about how Harry came from the Muggle world, he immediately understood.

"Hogwarts has four houses, namely…"

Just as Ron was about to explain, the compartment door was pulled open.

An older student stood at the door.

"Ha! You're really here! Dana Avery!"

Dana put down the book in his hand and looked up.

He recognized this person.

To be precise, he had seen him once when he was five years old, at his grandfather's funeral.

At that time, the Avery main family had sent people to offer condolences. This person had come with his parents.

His name was Dunat Avery. His father was Donna Avery's brother.

"Dunat Avery?" Dana said.

Dunat Avery first glanced sideways at Ron and Harry, sneering,

"Another Weasley," he muttered.

Then he stood in front of Dana, looking down at him condescendingly.

"It's me! It's good that you still recognize me, Dana Avery!"

Dana shook his head.

"I'm not called Dana Avery now. I'm called Dana Emrys."

"You criminal! Traitor! The family didn't even kick you out, but you betrayed the family first! As expected, anyone who has been in Azkaban is no good!"

When Harry saw his friend being insulted, he immediately wanted to stand up and help, but he received a look from Dana.

Dana's eyes seemed to speak, and Harry suddenly felt Dana's voice in his head:

"Don't be impulsive. Let me handle it myself."

Ron, on the other hand, looked terrified.

He stared at the white-haired teenager across from him—

Had he heard correctly? Dunat Avery said Dana Emrys was a criminal from Azkaban?

Dana stood up, slowly took out his wand, and pointed it at Dunat.

"Why did I go to Azkaban? Isn't your Avery family clear about that?"

"You used my suffering to exchange for Goyle Avery's safety. How can you have the face to say I'm a traitor in front of me?"

Dunat sneered and also took out his wand.

"You're just a freshman who just entered school. Who gave you the guts to point your wand at a senior?"

"Good! Your parents are dead, so let me teach you the etiquette of treating seniors—Rictusemp…"

"Petrificus Totalus!"

Dana's spell was chanted quickly and clearly, finishing halfway through Dunat's prank spell.

A blue-white light hit Dunat, and he gradually turned gray and white, stiff all over—like a statue.

Dana waved his wand and opened the compartment door.

Then, he waved his wand again and gently moved the petrified Dunat out.

Finally, with a flick of his wand, he slid it back into his holster, and the compartment door closed again in one fluid motion.

Honestly, Dana's set of movements was smooth and impressive.

But in Ron's eyes, this was the effortless precision of a dark wizard—someone who had practiced magic meant for harm!

"You… you've been in Azkaban?" Ron mustered up the courage to ask.

Dana nodded.

After all, there was nothing to hide. Everyone would know sooner or later.

"Yes, I was in Azkaban for four years. I was released in early August. What's the problem?"
