HP X LOTM : Please Call Me Mr. Error.

Chapter 428: Family Drama.

After agreeing to Walburga's terms, albeit unwillingly since even if Loki knew that Walburga would probably be able to handle things better Loki didn't want to part with what essentially felt like his baby, Loki and Walburga decided on the dates they would work through it all.

In the meantime, it was decided that Loki would stay in the Black Manor. And so they were all currently having dinner around the table.

Sirius looked annoyed but Walburga acted completely calm and turned to Loki as she asked him a question, "When will you bring Elane here?"

Loki almost choked on his food when Walburga asked him that question since he'd kept her identity a secret from almost everyone around him.

But hoping to hint at Walburga not to talk about it for now Loki quickly responded, "Aunt Cassandra is taking care of her like you asked her to. We can go meet her there."

Walburga nodded at those lines but she realised from Loki's lack of details about his sister that he didn't want to talk about her in front of Sirius, that was when Walburga turned to Sirius instead.

"You never told me how you were pardoned for killing that rat."

Sirius looked annoyed that his friend was called a rat when Walburga didn't even know the truth but he couldn't get too angry too since Peter Pettigrew really was a rat.

Sirius ground his teeth for a while before he started speaking in short sentences.

"I was never given a proper trial…thanks to someone pulling away their support from me because they wanted to teach me a lesson!"

Walburga scowled as she looked at Sirius with a gaze filled with anger and pride, "You chose your side. Why did you never ask 'Him' why you didn't get a fair trial!? Never thought he would betray you once you had no more use to him did you?!"

"Dumbledore did not betray me! He just-"

"Don't take the name of that foul man in this house! I will not stand for filth entering this house!"

"Filth!? What about the filth your ancestors created!? The absolute abominations and experiments they conducted on humans!? What about those!? You think I haven't read the books in the library!?"

Walburga scowled.

"Those were for the betterment of the house! They were done to make sure the Black Family survived beyond any calamity!"

Seeing the argument getting heated and turning wild, Loki tried to intervene-

"Erm…*cough* *cough*...please don't argue…"

-but his words were too soft, so Loki had to bear through eating his meal while listening to the background noise of two people arguing over dinner.

"Dumbledore! Dumbledore! Dumbledore! Dumbledore! Now what will you do you old hag!?"

Walburga flicked out her wand and pointed it at Sirius as she flicked it wordlessly to cast a simple spell at him causing a thin beam of pink light to hit him square on his chest.

All of a sudden all the hair on Sirius's body came alive as they all grew longer as if they were alive and swung into his mouth, blocking any sound that came out of it, almost choking him in the process.

Yet that wasn't where it all ended.

Sirius quickly used his superhuman strength to pull out and rip apart his hair causing his scalp to bleed.

"Is this what you'll do you hag!? Kill your only remaining son!? Like you killed my brother by pushing him towards the dark lord!?"

Loki's eyes narrowed at that insult as he saw Wlaburga freeze for a second too. He saw her eyes redden but Walburga didn't respond verbally, instead, she flicked her hand this time and caused several serene hair strands to appear around Sirius all of a sudden.

As each strand started to bind Sirius and paralyse him to sleep, he activated his own ability and caused even more serene hair strands to show up as they battled against Walburga's.

Loki looked at all this and finally decided that he'd had enough.

Finally, after letting it go on for a few more seconds to see if they would stop, Loki stood up from his chair and flicked his wand.

He hadn't really used a magical ability but he used it to disguise his ability to steal, Loki used this disguise to steal both Walburga and Sirius's ability to control serene hair strands.

Walburga was slightly annoyed by Loki but Sirius was completely shocked.

'How!?'

'This… this spell!? Why can't I activate my Beyonder Ability!?'

Finally just as Sirius was about to speak up and ask Loki a question, he simply silenced Sirius with a glare.

"Shut it. Both of you!" Loki said with an annoyed frown. "If you two keep acting like this, Uncle Regulus will die once again in his grave from your codswallop!"

Walburga nodded somewhat proud of Loki taking her side but then he turned towards her, "And Grandma! Are you seriously going to not tell him the truth!? Doesn't your only remaining son deserve to know the truth about his dead brother!? Do you really think he'll know to respect him without knowing the truth!?"

Walburga's eyes narrowed along with Sirius's as they looked at him with a sharp gaze.

"What do you mean by the truth!?" Sirius asked aggrieved. There was some pain in his voice along with a soft tremble as he looked at Loki first and then at Walburga.

Walburga's already teary eyes that had formed because of Sirius reminding her about her son's death slowly changed to firm ones that showed no vulnerability.

"Loki. You should stay out of this."

Loki looked at Walburga with an annoyed expression.

He knew why she didn't want to explain the truth about his death to Sirius since it involved Horcruxes, something that was a key point regarding Voldemort's powers.

It was knowledge that once spread around would cause them to incur wrath from both the White and the Dark side since both sides would want it, irrespective of it the Blacks had such knowledge or not.

So instead of arguing with Walburga, Loki inserted a thought into her Body of Heart and Mind, 'I know about it and I already destroyed it.'

Walburga's eyes widened when she heard what Loki said.

Her eyes teared up a little before she quickly blinked them away.

Loki meanwhile simply picked up his desert and walked away to his room on the upper floor, leaving Sirius and Walburga to discuss the rest.

Loki heard loud voices from below a few more times during the night, but it was mostly interspersed with *sobs* and loud *cries*, from both sides.

With all the talking and arguing about death, Loki was reminded about Daphne's passing. And so he tried distracting himself by trying to parasitise the Creeping Hunger with one of his Worms of Time so that it wouldn't be as hungry as it usually was.

'I mean…there are only so many souls my Dementor Butler can get for me from Azkaban.'

After a long time of arguing and silence, Loki finally heard a *knock* on his door just as he was about to fall asleep himself.

"Yes?" Loki said opening the door and looking at Sirius who had several tear strains on his face.

"That….erm…I wanted to ask you about the spell you used earlier." Sirius said softly while paying close attention towards Loki's expressions.

Loki nodded and explained as if it wasn't a big deal, "You're better off asking Walburga about them, She was the one that taught me about it."

Sirius nodded as he turned around and left.

It made sense to him that his Mother would know such a spell since the Black Family had delved into Black Magic for several generations, it was family tradition at this point.

Perhaps she had picked them up from such a moment.

On his way back though he paused for a moment before looking at Loki for a second as he whispered a soft "Thanks." and left to go to his room again.

Loki simply nodded. "My pleasure."
