HP X LOTM : Please Call Me Mr. Error.

Chapter 362: Confusion.

'What does you-know-who want in the first place?'

'If it's his resurrection, then I'll have to do something to usurp everyone's expectations of his resurrection?'

'So stop him from resurrecting?'

'....Can I do better though?'

'No…that is not very likely since 'She' will also be invested in strengthening her pawn that's her only connection to the world inside the barrier.'

'I doubt I can even stop him from resurrecting…'

'Sure I can stop him for a few minutes or even a few days if I'm lucky, but to permanently stop him? That would require me to kill him.'

'Not something I think I can achieve just yet.'

'I do have all the tools within myself, I can hide my intentions and bypass his danger premonition to some extent using the Sefirah Castle's anti-divination and anti-tracking abilities, but to turn this into such a big advantage that I can kill him?'

'No, I don't think I can do that just yet…'

'Especially since 'Adam' probably is invested in resurrecting you-know-who himself.'

'It is more likely than not that 'Adam' probably wants to set up a final battle between Harry and you-know-who which would decide the end or the beginning of an era for the next true gods that are going to be reborn.'

'So what exactly would it be?'

'Do I just avoid advancing until the final fight between Harry and you-know-who in however many years that is to happen?'

'No..that just seems like a waste of time.'

Loki frowned as he thought hard, his eyes lingering on the Disk of Wishes, which he'd teleported out of the Sefirah Castle, which he thought about using.

'Can I use this to digest my potion?'

'A miracle would suffice right?'

'But I'm sure it'll likely cause problems down the line if I don't follow the proper ritual method to advance my sequence.'

'Especially when I'm transitioning from being a normal human to being a demigod.'

Loki sent away the disk of wishes and closed his eyes to think again.

'Let's look at this objectively.'

'All I need to do is to usurp everyone's expectations about how the event goes.'

'In that case, what can I do?'

'What actions will you-know-who perform in the first place that I can manipulate and take advantage off?'

'No…I'm not him to be able to predict his thoughts and abilities. I could try but that still wouldn't let me be sure about it..not without evidence.'

'But I can take a different approach.'

'One that is backed by bits and pieces of evidence which can allow me to draw a trajectory of each member on this playing field.'

'Let's gather all the evidence 'Adam' has left behind for his golden trio to figure out.'

'The first piece of evidence was during the Quidditch World Cup.'

'You-know-who's followers attacked to perform a ritual to resurrect you-know-who.'

'But…'

'Nicholas gave me a clue that the golden trio did not have.'

'Nicholas told me that you-know-who asked 'Adam' to bless a spell of his…'

'The fidelius charm.'

'So it is clear that you-know-who wants to hide something…'

'When I first heard about it, I assumed that you-know-who was trying to hide the location of all the death eaters he'd broken out of Azkaban…'

'But new evidences throw a different light on this problem doesn't it?'

'For example the souls of the people in the first mission. They were captured and taken away somewhere…'

'Where were they taken to in the first place? Why haven't I divined about this already?'

Loki frowned.

'Did I really not divine about this?'

Loki's frown turned deeper.

He quickly pulled out the Ring Of Harvest and closed his eyes to divine about the situation.

'The location the souls of the people attacked by the demon of wishes were taken to.'

Loki repeated the statement seven times as he kept his eyes closed and slipped into cogitation to fall into the ethereal state of sleeping while not sleeping.

Loki's vision shifted from the all-black it was to a rather dark and dreary place that he could barely see around in.

He could see vague outlines very close around himself as if he were trapped inside a cupboard, but before he could analyse anything else-

The screams of a million lives suddenly assaulted his ears.

Loki was taken aback, but he continued to observe.

And what he laid his eyes upon left him stunned and frozen.

The reason he wasn't able to see much around himself wasn't because Loki was inside a cupboard of some sort. No Loki was currently surrounded.

Surrounded by what appeared to be tightly packed bodies of people that had been bundled up like sardines in a can.

Each person screamed for their lives as if they were simultaneously being tortured in some strange way even though nothing could be seen harming them.

'This…this feels like a slaughterhouse…'

Loki's vision broke there and he returned to the Sefirah Castle.

Except as soon as he did-

"Huh?"

"Where was I?"

"Ah…yes, I wanted to figure out where those souls went…"

Loki was about to jump into another divination before the ring itself stopped him from making another attempt.

"What happened to you?"

The ring grew a thin mouth out of which a long tongue showed up.

And while it didn't speak anything, Loki understood it immediately.

"You're hungry? Why? I'll feed you later. Let me perform one divination and then I'll feed you until you're full."

That seemed to have worked as the Ring Of Harvest closed its mouth and waited patiently.

Loki performed the same divination again.

He repeated the sentence seven times as he closed his eyes and slipped into half-sleep using cogitation.

What he saw before his eyes was the same disturbing image of souls being packed together like sardines in a can.

Except as soon as he broke out of the divination when he'd seen enough-

"Huh?"

"Where was I?"

"Ah…yes, I wanted to figure out where those souls went…"

Loki was about to enter into another divination but he was stopped when a mouth grew on the Ring of Harvest as it opened its mouth to push out its lengthy tongue to demand food.

Loki looked at the Ring Of Harvest and frowned.

"Didn't I tell you that I'll give you food after this one divination?"

The Ring Of Harvest suddenly froze.

It couldn't understand if its owner was thinking it was a fool or really just confused.

Was its owner going to use some strange method to swindle it into staying hungry for another year again?

That wasn't something it was keen on experiencing.

Loki on the other hand noticed the genuine confusion of his prised mystical item and frowned.

'I already performed a divination?'

'...?'

'And I…don't remember?'

Loki's eyes narrowed immediately as a chill ran down his spine.

'The heck?'

"Are you sure I performed a divination?" Loki asked the Ring of Harvest.

Not having any other means to communicate with Loki, the Ring of Harvest used its tongue to form a circle.

"....so I did…but…how?"

Loki remained puzzled for a while as he looked at the situation in front of him.

'This…how?'

"The Fidelius Charm?"

Loki's eyes widened slightly when he realised this.

'I…the charm can affect me inside the Sefirah Castle!?'

Loki frowned nearly instantly.

'I don't like this.'

'Whatever this is…this is too strange…how? Inside the Sefirah Castle?...but…what?'
