Chapter 215: Chapter 215: The Start of Term (4)
Bill waved at them with a smile. He was tall, with long, flowing hair, an earring glinting on one ear, and dressed like a Muggle rock star.
# Bill Weasley
"This year is going to be very exciting for you,"
Bill said, his eyes sparkling with mischief.
# Bill Weasley
"I might even take some time off to watch part of it…"
# Harry
"Part of what?"
Harry asked curiously.
But before Bill could answer, the whistle blew. The engine's pistons hissed loudly, and the train began to move.
# Ron
"Tell us what's happening at Hogwarts!"
Ron shouted out the window.
But Bill just smiled and waved. Before the train turned the corner, Bill, Charlie, and the Weasley parents had already Disapparated.
As the train sped northward, heavy raindrops began to drum against the windows, obscuring the view outside. They pulled down the blinds and turned their attention to a game of wizard chess. Harry and Ron eagerly recounted every detail of the Quidditch World Cup to Orli, with Hermione occasionally chiming in to provide additional context—like how some spectators nearly toppled over the railings after seeing the Veela.
The rain intensified as the train traveled further north, the sky growing so dark that lanterns were lit even though it was daytime. The lunch trolley clattered down the aisle, and Harry bought a generous stack of cauldron-shaped cakes to share. Ron, meanwhile, proudly showed Orli a small moving figurine of Viktor Krum. The figure paced back and forth, its feet slightly turned outward.
When the Hogwarts Express finally slowed to a halt at the shadowy Hogsmeade Station, Orli immediately noticed Sirius Black standing there, waiting.
The train doors opened, and thunder rumbled ominously overhead. The rain poured down in torrents, as though buckets of icy water were being dumped from the heavens. Hermione wrapped Crookshanks securely in her cloak, and the group dashed through the downpour toward the carriages. Harry, however, broke away and ran straight to Sirius.
The door of the carriage slammed shut behind them. Hermione busied herself casting spells to dry their soaked clothes.
# Ron
"What's Harry doing? They've only been apart for a few days, and now they're chatting endlessly—in the rain, no less."
Ron leaned toward the window, trying to get a better view. Orli followed his gaze and found herself locking eyes with Sirius. A strange feeling crept over her—she couldn't shake the suspicion that Sirius was discussing her with Harry. But how much would he reveal?
At last, Harry returned, striding quickly toward their carriage. He climbed in, dripping wet, undoing all of Hermione's efforts to dry the seats.
## Orli
"What were you talking about?"
Orli asked, feigning nonchalance.
# Harry
"I think Sirius is acting a bit odd."
Harry removed his glasses, wiping away the water droplets, looking slightly embarrassed.
# Harry
"He asked me if I liked any girls."
Ron erupted into laughter, struggling to catch his breath.
# Ron
"…So…what did you say?"
# Harry
"Well, I'm not exactly sure myself…"
Harry replaced his glasses, gazing up at the carriage ceiling.
# Ron
"What?!!!"
Ron shouted, springing to his feet so abruptly that he nearly hit his head.
# Ron
"I can't believe I don't know! Who do you like????"
# Harry
"Oh, give it a rest. I don't want to talk about it. It's not someone from Gryffindor."
Harry, clearly irritated, yanked Ron back into his seat.
# Harry
"Anyway, Sirius seemed relieved."
Moments later, with a jolt and a lurch, the line of carriages began their journey toward Hogwarts Castle, splashing through puddles as they went.
