Chapter 77 – Battle 02.
[Chapter Size: 2000 Words.]
Third Person POV
Diagon Alley, Black Market.
...
...
As soon as the two energies touched, an explosion quickly occurred while the two individuals cast their beams at each other in the middle of the black market.
As the green and red beams collided, they generated an immediate explosion at the center, with both trying to outdo one another, yet maintaining an evenly matched fight with no immediate winner. The union of these energies shook the entire area, causing the crowd that was behind the mysterious woman to try and protect themselves while being amazed at the high-level battle unfolding before them.
"What is this?"
"Who is he?"
"How can he generate such powerful death magic?" The wizards present, especially those who were Death Eaters serving Voldemort, were shocked to see such a level of confrontation with the stranger. This immediately made some wonder who he could be, others didn't even speak as they looked mesmerized at the explosion.
Meanwhile, Snape remained focused on his attack, generating his magic with the death beam, against that equally dangerous scarlet beam. The woman, seeming to be straining, yet didn't fail to crack a smile. "I don't know who you are, but you are certainly special, more special than anyone else I've ever encountered," she declared.
The energy of the beams collided, one against the other, but without a clear winner yet, accumulating energy in the middle as both energies concentrated there. Snape was surprised by this, after all, it was the first time he encountered someone who could match his energy, and it seemed to excite him somewhat.
'This woman is different...' He murmured while his eyes turned blue.
Seeing this, the woman smiled and began to move her wand along with her arm, while the beam that was in the middle of the street started to shift to one side, without disconnecting from the other, the energy continued moving as it hit a building beside it, exploding it.
Snape also followed suit, moving his wand with the death energy, keeping control over another building, while the other wizards had to draw their wands to immediately protect themselves against the debris falling on the crowd.
Snape generated a brighter glow in his eyes and began to release more energy, while the woman did the same and the beams began to thicken as they continued to match each other.
"This is getting dangerous, we should get out of here!" Someone immediately shouted, seeing that it could reach them.
"What kind of fight is this? Even the Death Eaters cannot create such a battle. Only Lord Voldemort can compare to this," they exclaimed astounded.
The energy began to become unstable, accumulating between the two beams. Snape and the mysterious woman knew something big was going to happen, as did the wizards more sensitive to magic and it had already reached its limit.
"Get out of here immediately!" someone shouted while disappearing with apparition, and all the others began to do the same, as the crowd started to vanish.
The beams began to accumulate more energy in the middle until the energy vanished for a millisecond and there was a huge explosion the next moment. Immediately, the entire place suffered a shockwave, with Snape and the woman themselves having to stop their magics to not be hit, disappearing, while all the surrounding houses, and even the building where the auction had been made, were devastated with a huge tremor, shaking not just the entire black market, but even people in Diagon Alley, walking calmly through the streets unaware of the battle, were suddenly surprised as they felt the tremor, making most kneel falling, while they looked frightened at the huge explosion happening in another location nearby.
"Could it be the Death Eaters?" Someone exclaimed in fear.
"Could it be, You-Know-Who, attacking?" Another person trembled.
"Call the Aurors, call the Ministry of Magic!" they immediately clamored.
From the distance of the explosion on that street, a red beam appeared with the woman in the middle of it, as she looked at the destruction created with a look of quite surprise. "This really is impressive. You made me use 30% of my power," she commented, while turning her face slightly, with Snape appearing behind her. "But this ability of yours to teleport is even more incredible, did you create it?" she did not fail to notice, since she had never seen anything like it, knowing all the styles of magics in the world.
"..." Snape remained silent as he looked at her with his eyes shining.
"Hm?! It seems we'll have to continue this duel..." She murmured with a smile, while Snape still remained silent. But soon his wand began to glow with a powerful green, and the next moment, he cast a beam at her. She disappeared, reappearing atop a distant chimney and laughing, before launching a red beam at him, which quickly vanished. Snape appeared as a shadow beside her and cast another beam as she teleported once more.
"It seems this game is getting quite interesting... Don't you think?" she commented, walking on the roof calmly as she spoke, effortlessly, but taking pleasure in this kind of fight.
She disappeared and appeared behind Snape, as he turned and launched another beam, hitting the middle of a structure resembling an old church. The beams collided with each other while glowing in the middle of their contest, not as powerful as the first, but it didn't take long for them to accumulate and explode the entire church, with them disappearing and reappearing in different places, starting to launch new beams at each other.
Red and green beams began to be launched against each other, while both used their teleportation abilities, appearing in various places, some beams connecting with another and creating explosions, but it seemed more like a cat and mouse game, as one tried to hit the other. This battle began to devastate the entire black market as they started to cast magic everywhere as they teleported.
"What kind of fight is this?" Someone spoke from a distance, while Malfoy, behind his mask, also frowned at it, seeing beams flying everywhere, buildings and houses being destroyed one after another, but without a winner among them.
"Does anyone know who that guy is?" He demanded, after all, whoever it was, was on a level above one of the death merchants. This not only left him dazed but frustrated, as no one could tell who was the stranger that could fight in an intense battle against the young lady whom they believed only Voldemort could fight and defeat her.
The battle continued to advance as the place became increasingly devastated. Aurors, even though not allowed to enter this place, were forced to come see what was happening.
They appeared in the sky on their brooms and immediately saw two people fighting against each other, while using abilities teleporting from one place to another quickly.
"Who are they?" Alastor Moody exclaimed as he looked with his magical eye trying to follow them, but frowned indeed at this type of battle. "One is using an unforgivable, the other, that magic...." He murmured recognizing the second.
"Yes... it belongs to her... so she is in this country." Another spoke frowning, knowing very well who that person was and how they had to be careful.
"What should we do?" Another Auror asked cautiously seeing the situation.
"They are devastating everything... they are dangerous, but we have to stop them!" Alastor Moody immediately spoke and quickly used apparition to teleport into the middle of the battle.
Again, Snape and the woman were using their beams against each other, connected, as they tried to outdo one another, both noticed the apparitions of several unwanted guests around them, as they began to draw their wands to stun them.
Snape and the mysterious woman didn't like this at all, after all, there was something happening between them. Snape had to admit, both were enjoying that fight, and the shining blue eyes stared into the red eyes that also glowed faintly as if they were passing a message to each other.
Then Snape and the woman immediately forced their magic as the beams began to expand and generated beams in all directions from the center, becoming uncontrolled. It wasn't enough to kill someone, since it was just fragments of the real magic, but it created large explosions where they fell.
Immediately all the Aurors began to be hit, except Alastor and a few who managed to defend themselves quickly and looked stunned as their companions fell to the ground, being caught unexpectedly, not even able to use a protego in time.
If they tried to retaliate, they wouldn't even have the chance, as the two who had caused the chaos were already elsewhere after teleporting, fighting each other, before reappearing in another location, their magics clashing against each other, before exploding another building.
"We must stop him," Alastor was frustrated, firstly because these two didn't even care about them, treating them like the wind as they continued fighting, another was their incredible ability to defeat several Aurors indirectly.
The remaining Aurors advanced again together following the two as they disappeared again. Meanwhile, they cast paralysis spells to try to hit them, Snape and the woman were quick as they looked at each other, seeming to be aware of their surroundings, because they dodged the Aurors' spells while casting spells at each other, making the Ministry of Magic's officers look like a bunch of fools.
Snape appeared on a chimney in one of the devastated places, raising his wand generating green beams and throwing them to the ground, while the huge beam clashed against the red beam again.
"It seems we won't be able to play much longer, mysterious man," the woman spoke with a slightly frustrated tone, as more Aurors arrived at the black market, even the people who were at the auction, seeing the fight from a distance, were caught off guard by this.
"We should get out of here," the Death Eaters spoke and began to disappear, not wanting to stay before they could be caught at that location.
Quickly, Snape and the woman were surrounded by more than 40 wizards as they still battled between their magics clashing against the other.
"You are surrounded and have nowhere to run! Surrender now!!" Alastor spoke, while Snape and the woman ignored these phrases and both continued looking at each other, with Snape starting to make his eyes shine even brighter and his magic released from the wand exploded, generating a huge explosion of beams. The woman did the same while both energies again began to concentrate in the middle, larger than the first explosion that devastated an entire street.
This immediately alarmed the Aurors, but it was too late. The next moment, an explosion so large that it devastated an entire block exploded, causing all the shops, buildings, and houses to be destroyed and thrown back.
The huge explosion again made the entire black market, Diagon Alley, and even more streets of London tremble, causing some people to wonder what was happening.
While the wizards were frightened by the huge explosion, the Muggles wondered if an earthquake was happening at that moment.
The Aurors tried to protect themselves as much as possible and amid all the chaos and debris lifted, as the dust rose soon after, Alastor appeared and entered the destruction, but realized he was alone in the middle of that entire destruction. "They fled," he murmured dissatisfied, as more and more Aurors reappeared by his side.
"Search for them immediately! Do not let them escape!" He shouted as people searched all sides of the black market, already in Diagon Alley, Snape walked calmly, heading to the chimney and back to Hogwarts, as if nothing had happened and ensuring that no one followed him, not even that woman.
Meanwhile, the woman was on top of a huge building, stopped, looking towards Diagon Alley, a few kilometers from the site. "After all... I lost him... and I don't even know who he was..." she murmured, knowing she might never find out who was behind his mask.
