Chapter 166 Don’t look into its eyes
After Myrtle made a fuss in the bathroom, Astoria and Ginny tried to find the lost diary, but they never saw it again.
Astoria thought it might be the soulful diary that sensed the evil intentions of the two of them, so she hid herself.
Astoria had no choice but to make an agreement with Ginny to find traces of it as much as possible and prevent it from harming other people.
……
In the afternoon, the sun shines through the clouds into the compartments of the bookshelf. Astoria held a thick stack of books in her arms and walked out of the library with her head lowered.
Her long pale golden hair was fluttering in the wind, and her gaze moved up unintentionally, catching a glimpse of the sparkling snake skin appearing at the pipe mouth above the corridor.
Astoria's eyes suddenly widened frighteningly, her body stood stiffly on the spot, her hands clenched tightly, and she swallowed unconsciously.
"Why is it so cold suddenly?"
"Yes, yes, I feel cold when I look in the mirror!"
A familiar voice came, and Astoria glanced over, only to see Hermione wearing Gryffindor school robes and a strange Ravenclaw student appear from the corner. The Ravenclaw senior was next to Hermione, complaining and wiping the mirror with her sleeves.
"I feel an inexplicable coldness behind my back. Is there a ghost playing tricks behind me?" Hermione shivered uncontrollably and complained to Senior Penello next to her, but received no response.
"Penello, Penelo!" Hermione reached out and patted Penello on the shoulder strangely, but she saw Penelo falling stiffly in the direction of Hermione's pat, and fell heavily to the ground.
Hermione was immediately stunned with fear, her eyes fixed on the petrified Senior Penello. She fell stiffly on her side to the ground, holding tightly the small round mirror she was using to arrange her hair in her hand.
Sure enough, is there something behind it?
Hermione felt as if cold sweat was running down her spine. She squatted down carefully, took out the small mirror from Senior Penello's hand, and carefully squinted her eyes to observe what was going on behind her through the mirror.
"Don't look!"
Before Hermione could make a move, the mirror in front of her was blocked by a small, white hand.
"Greengrass!" Hermione exclaimed in surprise. The beautiful girl with blond hair and blue eyes in front of her was no longer as domineering as she was on the purchasing day. She had a serious face and stared at her intently.
"Don't look, it's about to leave." Finally, after an unknown amount of time, Astoria finally let go of the mirror in Hermione's hand, and the cold air surrounding them disappeared.
Looking at Astoria's retreating figure, Hermione narrowed her eyes slightly, opened her mouth but still said nothing.
……
"Please come together, thank you."
In the Slytherin lounge, Professor Snape asked the children to gather in front of him with a serious expression. He had a gloomy face, and his shiny black hair stuck to his face, shaking it irritably.
"Classmate Granger and an unknown classmate discovered that the cause of everyone's petrification was a basilisk coming from the darkness of the castle. They warned everyone not to wander around in cold, damp places or near sewer pipes. And every night at six o'clock You must go back to your dorm before, no one is exempt!"
Professor Snape did not stay in the lounge for too long. He changed the password for the lounge to no entry after six o'clock, and then left without looking back.
"Merlin's socks, why don't you be so exaggerated!" Pansy's head lolled lazily on Daphne's shoulders, and she rolled her eyes at the air.
"Hey, Pansy, don't do that, you look like an angry poodle!" Zabini glanced sideways, teasing with a smile in his eyes.
"Who are you talking about a poodle!" Pansy became even more angry. She bared her teeth and punched Zabini, but Zabini easily dodged it sideways.
"Hold on, Pansy, I was praising you for being cute..." Zabini dodged nimbly and quickly got behind Astoria in the corner.
It was obvious that Astoria's thin body could not block anything, and Pansy could even see Zabini's mean face making faces on Astoria's head.
"E on! Blaise, please don't implicate Leah!" Draco held Astoria's arm and pulled her away from Zabini, pushing him unceremoniously towards Pansy, and then came the news What came was Zabini wailing in pain. Astoria looked up and saw only his ferocious face and the tips of his ears that were stretched out by Pansy.
"Draco, do you have a problem with me?" Astoria slowly withdrew her gaze, followed Draco to the corner of the lounge, and raised her head in confusion.
"That person...the person Professor Snape is talking about is you, right?"
Draco was so smart, he guessed it almost instantly.
"Draco, what are you doing for-"
"You don't have to hide anything from me, Leah, anything!" Draco looked serious. What Astoria didn't expect was that he seemed to have a lot of emotions in his eyes, but there was no anger or dissatisfaction.
"I just didn't think you'd like me hanging out with Gryffindors."
"Am I such a person who doesn't distinguish between right and wrong in your eyes?" Draco's tone was a little hasty and he immediately interrupted Astoria. Looking at Leah, who had her head lowered and whose expression could not be seen clearly, he paused, stroked Leah's shoulder and said, "Although that muggle muggle is indeed annoying, don't get too close to them in the future..."
"..." Astoria rarely responded. She lowered her head in silence, her eyelashes trembling slightly, and she nodded slowly.
