Chapter 76 Choice
Draco came back from his thoughts and shook his head, "I'm fine. I just got separated from my dad...I didn't see him. Have you seen your dad? Where is he?"
Avro heard the hidden meaning in his words. This was the first time he asked her with hidden words.
Everyone knew that Mr. Malfoy might be among that group of men wearing the black hood.
And he was asking if her father was one of them, and whether Mr. Greengrass ignored the Dark Mark this time, which reflected his attitude.
Avro suddenly smiled lightly, "I don't know. I was with Oliver just now. If you want to find my father, I can take you to find him."
"...No, I'm just asking casually. I'll leave first. It looks like the commotion is over." Draco pursed his lips, "You'd better pay attention to your safety."
"Same for you," Avro thought for a while and then told her uneasily, "If you have any questions, just come to me and don't hesitate to tell me."
Draco was noncommittal, nodded casually and left, apparently with a lot of thoughts in his heart.
Avro turned to look at Cedric and Oliver, "Then why don't you go back and take a look?"
The two agreed and shuffled away.
Aphra asked Daphne, "Are you with me? And where is Pansy?"
Pansy waved her hand, and then the two of them let go, "I'm going back."
Daphne crossed her arms, "Okay."
She watched Pansy leave, and Aphra stood next to Daphne and exclaimed, "It's strange, Pansy looks different from usual today."
"What's the difference?" Daphne walked beside Aphra with her head lowered and her lips pursed.
"I'm usually more aggressive, but today I'll be more supportive of you."
"We just had a fight," Daphne replied simply. "She said she liked Malfoy."
"I saw it, so I'm not surprised."
Avro was holding the panoramic telescope given by Harry in her hand. She slept the whole time and never used it, so now she started to think about how to use it.
"But she probably won't like Draco in the future." Daphne said easily, and the two of them returned to their tent, "Sister, Draco likes you, so do you like Draco?"
Avro nodded, then shook his head, "I just think he is my younger brother."
Daphne pretended not to believe it, but reluctantly accepted the statement, "What about Diggory and Wood?"
Avro didn't answer. She raised her chin and said, "Come in."
"Hey, I get it." Daphne waved her hand and did not enter the door, "Dear sister, I have another question."
"Ok?"
Avro wondered.
"Where will dad be?" Daphne asked.
Avro was silent for a moment, then she curled her lips and touched her sister's head, "She should be back by now."
She opened the tent curtain. Her father, mother, and Astoria were sitting at the table, with Astoria holding a tea cup.
Seeing her two sisters back together, Astoria breathed a sigh of relief, quickly put down her cup and ran over, "Aphro! Daphne!"
"Have you always been together?" Daphne rubbed Astoria's face and led her to sit on a chair.
"Yes at first, then we got separated from dad, but we found each other again soon."
Avro sat next to her father, picked up the water glass and poured herself a glass of water.
"There was an accident. It's not a big problem. What about you? Are you in danger?"
"No, everything is safe." Avro replied.
She moistened her lips, and her family gathered together for a brief chat before leaving this place of right and wrong.
Back at Greengrass Manor, his father called Aphra to the study alone.
"Aphro," Mr. Greengrass called her in a deep voice, "come and have a look."
Avro's thoughts went through her mind a thousand times, but in the end she walked up to her father without asking anything.
My father lifted up his left sleeve, and the Dark Mark was clearly visible on his arm, which was dark and slightly red.
Avro's heart skipped a beat and she took a step back.
"One of his loyal subordinates suddenly sent out a signal. I don't understand why that subordinate did this after so many years... The only explanation is that he is coming back and his subordinates have been instructed to act like this. It is a deterrent. , it’s intimidation.”
Mr. Greengrass said slowly, "Not many people came tonight. Parkinson, Goyle, Crabbe, and Malfoy are all here."
"Hmm..." Avro said that she could already see this.
"Snape too, you know?"
"?" Avro almost said "Ah" in surprise, but she held it back, her eyes widened and she blinked.
But Snape is a professor at Hogwarts, a professor assigned by Dumbledore.
"I have seen Snape among the Death Eaters, but after that man's fall, Snape was vouched for by Dumbledore, but most of the Death Eaters still believed that he was not innocent."
"He is very powerful." Professor Snape was actually able to be appreciated by both Voldemort and Dumbledore. Although he would win, it would be a very difficult life. If he were to walk on a fine line, he would fall if he was not careful.
Avro was thinking about it in her mind and continued to listen to her father.
Her father's next words almost made her jump.
"Have you decided whether to choose the Dark Lord or the Savior?" Father asked seriously, "We don't have much time, we must clearly stand on one side."
Aphra has mixed feelings, Harry Potter? Dumbledore? Or are you waiting for the return of the Dark Lord?
She looked down at the table with a confused expression, "What do you think our family needs? So-so power, endless wealth, and a happy and harmonious family... If under the Dark Lord..."
His father raised his eyebrows, "I decided to join the Death Eaters not long after I graduated. I was bewitched by the idea of pure blood in school, and I was lobbied by the Dark Lord outside school. I felt that if I followed him, I would be extremely powerful and control the British wizarding world."
"But then I came into contact with the outside world, fell in love with your mother, and had you. I began to feel that there was nothing else to pursue. I am enough now."
Avro's expression changed, and the corners of her mouth raised unconsciously. Of course, she always felt very happy.
"I regret it, of course I should regret it." My father analyzed himself, "The Dark Lord's purpose is not as he advertised. The road to his goal is full of blood and cruelty, families are broken, and people are separated forever."
Avro nodded, "The pure-blood concept and the elimination of Muggles are inherently wrong."
"Aphro, you have always been very sane. You are much stronger than I was back then. I am very pleased."
