Chapter 40 Embarrassment
During the summer vacation, Aphra received an invitation from Fred and George, who invited her to visit the Burrow.
Avro didn't care where she was going, but she didn't know if her parents would agree.
So she decided to go without telling her parents.
The Burrow was much smaller than Greengrass's house, but Aphra didn't show any disgust, but she was a little uncomfortable with it.
She knocked on the door and the person who opened the door was Percy.
Percy was stunned and subconsciously frowned, "Why are you here?"
"Your dear brother invited me here." Avro tilted her head, "Don't you welcome me?"
"How dare you not welcome me -" Fred's voice was heard in the distance, and he walked over leisurely, followed closely by George.
Percy stared at his two naughty brothers with a cold expression, "What are you going to do?"
They looked at each other with innocent expressions and said, "We are just extending a warm invitation to our boss."
"Boss, do you want to see our prefect's room first?"
The tips of Percy's ears turned slightly red, no doubt irritated and a little ashamed. He didn't want others to know that his home's less-than-ideal environment and crowded rooms clearly spoke of his poverty.
He has always been hungry for power, and his biggest goal is to improve his family's financial situation.
The last thing he wanted was for Aphra to visit his home. She would look at all the furnishings with her beautiful blue eyes, which would make him embarrassed.
This is caused by the strongest self-esteem of an adolescent boy, and it cannot be said to be right or wrong.
Fred and George undoubtedly loved playing against Percy, and they never hesitated to empty their pockets and tell you with a smile that they were very poor now. They were dissatisfied with Percy's desire for power and neglect of humor, and they always tried to tease him in various ways.
Of course, they had noticed Percy's interest in Aphra early on, and they were determined to expose all this.
Of course, this is still not right or wrong.
However, Aphra was a smart girl. She smiled at Fred and George, "Why don't we go take a look at the sixth floor of the Burrow."
"Forget it... Ron probably hasn't gotten up yet." Fred chuckled, remembering the Christmas chocolate incident.
Aphra looked at Percy. He didn't say a word at the moment, just standing there.
"Then let's go sit on the grass for a while." Avro said, easing the silence. "I learned a new spell, let me show it to you."
The four of them came to the lawn. Avro held the wand and waved it gently. A beautiful arc passed through, and a blue light suddenly appeared.
"Invoke the gods to protect you." Avro smiled and recited the spell.
The three people's eyes were attracted.
A solid shape formed on the tip of the wand, and a white antelope came out, staring curiously at the people in front of it.
"Patronus Curse? Is it so powerful?" Fred murmured.
Avro smiled lightly, "Antelope."
Fred and George looked at Aphra's patronus, and Percy looked at Aphra.
Avro smiled at him, bright and dazzling.
Percy lowered his head slightly, "You guys can play, I'm leaving first."
Avro nodded.
……
When Mrs. Weasley came downstairs and saw someone else in the house, she looked surprised.
After Fred and George explained it with a smile, Mrs. Weasley immediately became angry and accused them of saying that they should have explained it to her in advance.
Afterwards, Mrs. Weasley said hello to Avro with a smile on her face. Avro chatted with her for a few words, and Mrs. Weasley enthusiastically prepared a lot of desserts for her.
Mrs. Weasley left Fred and George aside and greeted Aphra.
"It's strange that Fred and George would have a friend as beautiful and well-behaved as you. Don't let them lead you astray." Mrs. Weasley asked.
Avro smiled and looked at them aside, "Actually, I'm Percy's friend."
"?" "?"
"That's not surprising." Mrs. Weasley smiled even brighter.
Avro's eyebrows quirked, "I'll bring some food up for Percy to eat."
"You can take them all," Mrs. Weasley nodded repeatedly, smiling with satisfaction, "They don't need to eat anyway."
"?" "?"
Avro carried the snacks prepared by Mrs. Weasley, found Percy's room, and knocked politely.
"Come in," Percy said slightly nervously.
Avro naturally opened the door and walked into his small room. The room was filled with books, and the desk was even more piled.
She put the snacks on the table and Percy moved a stool for her.
Avro looked at the book spread out on his table. It was slightly yellowed and the pages were rolled up.
"Are you desperate for power?"
The last time Avro discussed this topic with him, she was teasing him.
"I'm just determined to be a prefect. After graduation, I will become a staff member of the Ministry of Magic. In the future, I will also be a director and minister." Percy said competitively.
Avro's eyes were bright, "I think your idea is very good and very practical."
"Do you really think so?" Percy asked hesitantly.
The warm orange light illuminated the two of them, illuminating the books in front of them. Avro smoothed the pages of the book and said, "Yes, I also want to be a powerful person. It must feel good. Those with higher positions will always be better than others." Those with lower status have more freedom."
"The freedom to have more, not to be confined to a small room of a few square meters, not to be looked down upon."
Percy said quietly, finally smiling, "Thank you."
"You're welcome." Avro laughed.
"How are you...and Oliver?" Percy thought for a while and finally asked.
He struggled in his mind for many days and still wanted to ask.
Avro turned her head and raised her head slightly, her eyes were sincere and her words were straightforward.
"He likes me?"
Percy was stunned.
"I think he's pretty good." Avro lowered her head and her hair fell from her shoulders. She fiddled with her fingers, "But we will only be friends."
Percy was a little confused, but also a little shamefully happy. He hated himself in his heart, and wanted to ask why, but his Adam's apple rolled, "Why?"
Avro shook his head and said nothing.
She knows her thoughts very well, she will not stop for anyone, and her heart will not beat for just one person.
Therefore, she will not agree to anyone.
