Chapter 108
On the Hogwarts grounds, the confrontation escalated. "Be reasonable, Hagrid!" came the plea, but Hagrid's only response was an incomprehensible roar of defiance. Fang leapt into the fray, knocking one attacker to the ground before taking a hex and collapsing with a pitiful whine. Hagrid roared in rage, hurling one of his attackers through the air like a ragdoll. The figure landed with a sickening thud and didn't move. Fury etched into every line of her face, Professor McGonagall stormed out of the Great Hall and into the chaos. From the Astronomy Tower, Ron pointed excitedly. "Look! McGonagall'll sort this out!" Harry managed a faint smile, his hope rekindled.
As McGonagall approached the scene, her voice rang out, each word dripping with rage. "How dare you! How DARE you!" she shouted, breaking into a run. Illuminated by the flashes of red spells streaking through the night, her commanding presence was undeniable. "Stop this immediately!" she roared, her fury slicing through the chaos like a knife. The air was filled with the sounds of chaos and spellfire. Professor McGonagall moved swiftly, her wand drawn, commanding authority even amidst the battle. Four attackers turned on her in unison, their spells streaking through the darkness like crimson lightning, just as Gray appeared. He didn't even bother to use his wand, simply flicking his wrist. "Seriously, I thought this year was going to be a breeze again," he said before hurling the four attackers and pinning them down.
At the Astronomy Tower, cheers erupted from the students witnessing the horror. Professor Tofty clutched her mouth in shock, muttering in disbelief. "Gray, it's Gray!" Ron yelled as most of the students wowed. Gray then turned toward McGonagall and asked, "Where is Dumbledore?" McGonagall, her expression grim, replied, "He is gone." Gray sighed and asked, "Where to?" That was when Umbridge appeared. "He escaped," she said curtly. Gray sighed again, initially ignoring her, but since she made herself known, he turned to face her. "You have been nothing but a nuisance to me since I arrived at Hogwarts, and frankly, I'm tired of your shenanigans," he said. Umbridge, seeing the four attackers dealt with, took a couple of steps back and drew her wand. Gray smiled, an idea forming, and began walking toward her. "Oh, Professor, are you drawing your wand against a student?" he asked mockingly, releasing waves of his own magic with every step. The pressure caused her visible fear, pushing her to an irrational decision.
Driven by panic, Umbridge raised her wand and chanted the incantation for the Killing Curse. Green light erupted from her wand, streaking toward Gray. With skillful precision, he avoided the spell, but the damage was done—she had cast one of the Unforgivable Curses at a student. Professor McGonagall reacted immediately, casting a disarming charm that sent Umbridge's wand flying. "Dolores! What have you done?" McGonagall's voice was laced with fury and disbelief. The gathered students gasped audibly, voices rising in shock and outrage. "Did she just—" one student stammered. "Unforgivable! She used the Killing Curse!" another exclaimed. "On a student!" came another horrified shout.
Gray, ever dramatic, looked at the stunned Umbridge and said, "I guess you don't have to be a Dark Lord to try to kill a student at Hogwarts." He stared down at her as she mumbled incoherently, her face pale and her eyes wide with disbelief at her own actions. McGonagall, shaking with anger, turned to the crowd and declared, "This is unacceptable! Dolores Umbridge will answer for this immediately." The students murmured in agreement, their shock turning to disdain as Umbridge crumpled under the weight of her own shame.

Gray Snape stood tall in the middle of a luxurious party, his figure striking in a sleek black suit. His lush black hair, streaked with deep red, was tied neatly, complementing his sharp features. He stood on a small stage, microphone in hand, as the crowd watched in silent anticipation. Then, he began to sing, his voice rich and captivating, carrying through the air with effortless beauty. The lyrics poured from his lips like a melody crafted from his very soul:
"At least as deep as the Pacific Ocean
Now I wanna be yours
Secrets I have held in my heart
Are harder to hide than I thought
Maybe I just wanna be yours
I wanna be yours, I wanna be yours."
The audience remained utterly still, their breaths seemingly stolen by the sheer beauty of Gray's voice. No sound filled the hall except for his singing, which resonated like an enchanting spell. Among the crowd, Hermione Granger stood out in a stunning red dress that enhanced her natural beauty. When Gray's eyes found hers, a genuine smile broke across his face, one that melted the room and made the onlookers feel as though they were witnessing a profound sight, like an angel descending to earth. Maintaining unwavering eye contact with Hermione, he continued, his voice never faltering, each note carrying an unspoken message. When the final line left his lips, the room erupted into applause, but Gray had eyes for no one else.
As he stepped off the stage, Gray moved straight toward Hermione, the music shifting to a gentle melody. Without a word, he extended his hand, which she accepted with a smile. They moved to the center of the dance floor, and as they began to dance, it was as though the universe shrank, leaving only the two of them. Every step they took, every subtle movement, was perfectly synchronized, their connection palpable. Hermione's dress swirled elegantly as Gray guided her, his hand resting lightly on her waist. For a moment, it was as if time itself had stopped, the world fading away until only their shared rhythm remained, the unspoken love between them filling the space.

In a luxurious five-star hotel, the warm glow of dawn illuminated a large, comfortable bed where Gray lay half-naked, his form relaxed and peaceful. Beside him, Hermione was curled under the covers, her eyes closed but her lips curved into a small smile. "You know, when you said you were going to the human world, I didn't think you'd become a singer," she murmured, her voice soft and teasing. Gray let out a low hum of amusement. "Well, it would've been a waste not to put my voice to good use," he replied, his tone light as a soft smile graced his face. Hermione opened her eyes, her gaze warm and filled with admiration. "True, your voice is heavenly," she said, earning a chuckle from Gray as he leaned forward to press a kiss to her forehead. "Flatterer," he said playfully, pulling her closer into his embrace, the warmth between them momentarily filling the room.
After a beat of silence, a mischievous glint lit up Gray's eyes. "Right, I have something to show you," he said, pulling away and sitting up. Hermione, intrigued, followed his movements, clutching the duvet to cover her chest. As Gray stood, the morning light highlighted the faint scratches and marks covering his torso. "Hm," she scoffed proudly, crossing her arms. Gray raised an eyebrow, smirking. "What? Proud of your handiwork?" he asked, to which Hermione grinned. "It's more like an art—an expression of how much I adore your body," she quipped, her voice dripping with playful confidence. Gray rolled his eyes, letting out a scoff. "Yeah, right, you know if you had an animagus form, it would probably be a cat" he chuckled which also made her chuckle before he said, "talking about animagus form" he muttered before closing his eyes and taking a deep breath.
Before Hermione could ask further, Gray's body shifted, transforming into a massive black-and-red snake. The transformation was seamless, leaving Hermione staring in shock as he slithered toward her. "Wait—did you become an Animagus?" she exclaimed, her voice a mix of awe and disbelief. Gray nodded, his serpentine form moving gracefully across the room. When he wrapped himself around her, Hermione did not flinch; instead, she smiled, gently placing her hand under his head and lifting it to meet her gaze. "How can you be even more beautiful as a snake?" she whispered, her voice soft and sincere. Gray's heart swelled with happiness at her words, and he rubbed his head affectionately beneath her chin.
Moments later, Gray shifted back to his human form, his arms instantly encircling her waist as he pressed her against him. "Now then, where were we?" he murmured, his voice low and filled with warmth as he pressed a kiss to her neck. Hermione closed her eyes, leaning into him, her body relaxed against his. The intimacy of the moment enveloped them, their connection deepening with every touch, every shared breath, as if the world beyond them had ceased to exist.
