Chapter 332: Chapter 333: Crybaby Gets Kicked
Death isn't some grand story—it's just a simple ending.
The golden Kurama slowly faded away. Naruto landed on the broken, ruined ground and looked down at the black Samehada lying at his feet. Even though he was covered in injuries, the sword had somehow survived the Tailed Beast Bomb without a scratch.
Naruto let out a sigh and picked it up.
"This thing's alive. They say it was once a fish that stayed by Kisame's side, absorbing his chakra over time and turning into what it is now," Kurama said while rubbing his chin. "And in theory, this thing can even absorb a Tailed Beast Bomb."
Naruto blinked. "Then why didn't it absorb that one earlier?"
Kurama thought for a second. "When you're in Sage of Six Paths mode, your Tailed Beast Bombs have Sage power and natural energy mixed in. This thing isn't a Rinnegan—it can't just absorb any kind of chakra."
"Ohhh." Naruto finally got it. He grabbed Samehada by the blade and lifted it up. Looking at how weak and limp it looked, he said, "Sasuke has a weapon now, so I think I should get one too. This one seems pretty good."
"You've got chakra from all the tailed beasts in you. Samehada should like that. Give it a try," Kurama suggested.
Naruto didn't hesitate. He flipped it around and injected chakra into it. It's just a sword, after all. What's the worst that could happen? If he could get a famous weapon like this, it'd be totally worth it.
As soon as Naruto poured in his chakra, Samehada started healing itself so fast that he could actually see the changes.
Still… this thing eats way too much chakra. The amount he just gave it could've powered Kakashi by himself. And yet Samehada hadn't even twitched?
Wait a second. Why did I just compare it to "a Kakashi's worth" of chakra?
Naruto quickly put his hands together in prayer and bowed seriously toward the sky. "I'm sorry, Kakashi-sensei. I didn't mean it. Please don't be mad at me."
"Kakashi's not even dead yet," Kurama said, sounding annoyed. "Just keep going. I think four or five more Kakashi's worth of chakra should do the trick."
"That's not too much, I can deal with it." Naruto nodded in agreement—after all, he had enough chakra to match hundreds of Kakashi-senseis…
Sorry, Kakashi-sensei!
But your chakra level...
...really does make a great measuring unit.
So clear and easy to understand.
With a bit of guilt, Naruto continued pouring chakra into Samehada—but honestly, he didn't feel guilty at all. Just like Kurama said, after feeding it the chakra equal to four or five Kakashis, the wounds on Samehada were almost completely healed. Even the whole blade started to wiggle.
Naruto tensed up for a moment—it was still an enemy's weapon, after all.
But what happened next surprised him. As soon as Samehada "woke up," it wiggled like a puppy, the handle twisting like a tail and gently wrapping around Naruto's arm. Then the blade flipped over to face him and let out a weird "yiyiying" sound.
"Yiyiying monster, how cute!" Kurama praised with a rare bit of fondness. But before Naruto could complain, Kurama's face suddenly turned dark. He let out a creepy laugh. "Tie up all its limbs, slit the veins, then the arteries. Not moving at all—how cute\~ hehehe\~"
That laugh could probably make kids cry.
"Also, this thing doesn't even have limbs." Naruto looked it over carefully and came to that conclusion.
Samehada suddenly froze. It felt a chill coming from its handle… just its imagination?
It shook itself, then seemed to remember something and turned to look at the ruined battlefield nearby. Kisame was nowhere in sight.
It lowered its head, looking a little down. Two streams of water ran down from where its eyes might've been.
"Are you… crying?" Naruto looked at Samehada in surprise.
Samehada let out two more soft "yiyiying" sounds, then ignored Naruto and slowly crawled behind him. Its body shrank to fit Naruto's height, and it flattened itself against Naruto's back like a real sword.
Naruto was completely shocked. "It's way too smart!"
Not only did it cling to him after being saved, but it also cried for its old master—and now it was pretending to be a real sword on his back? This thing might be smarter than him!
"This little guy has accepted you," Kurama said with a smirk. "Try building a bond with it. Who knows—maybe you'll be able to fuse with it, yell out 'henshin,' and become a Kamen Rider, fighting monsters and turning into light in the end."
Naruto immediately pictured Kisame's transformation in his head and shivered. "No thanks, really. No need."
Having a weapon is good enough. No—
No need to fuse or transform. He had zero interest in becoming that kind of masked hero—and even less in turning into light.
Naruto wiped the cold sweat from his forehead and patted Samehada's handle. Then he smiled. Having a weapon like this wasn't bad at all.
With that thought, he turned to the other side and walked forward in Six Paths Mode.
On the shattered ground, in front of a pile of rubble, Naruto reached out his hand. A small Tailed Beast Ball formed and blasted the rocks apart, revealing Hidan buried underneath.
Hidan's body was in a shocking state—his torso was crushed by a huge rock, the left side of his body was completely gone, and the lower half was missing too. All that was left was half his spine and a twisted right hand that looked totally unnatural.
"I can't believe you're still alive like this," Naruto said in surprise.
Then he placed his hand on Hidan's chest, ignoring the blood. His voice had a hint of pity. "Too bad your healing is only better than most ninjas. If it was stronger, you'd really be unbeatable."
"Cut the crap. You can't kill me anyway, so just say what you want to do." Even with his jaw shattered, Hidan could still talk, and his mouth was as foul as ever. "You win this time, kid. But next time, I'm taking you down."
"I'm not giving you a next time." Naruto shook his head and looked serious. "As your enemy, the only thing I can do is kill you for good."
"You can't kill me!" Hidan yelled.
"Then… if I smash you into pieces, can you still come back?" Naruto asked in a calm tone.
Hidan went silent.
"I get it." Chakra gathered in Naruto's hand, forming a giant black spinning sphere aimed at Hidan below.
Hidan panicked, but he couldn't even grit his teeth now. He just shouted up at Naruto, "I won't die! Just wait! I'll crawl back from hell and make you pay!"
"I'm the only one who can make you pay! And I don't need anything special—my teeth are enough! I'll bite you to pieces!"
His shouting mixed with crazy laughter—it didn't sound like a normal person at all.
Naruto let out a sigh, and his chakra exploded. "Six Paths: Big Rasengan Wheel!"
The ground shook again, and the sky filled with dust so thick it blocked out the sunlight, leaving only darkness over the land.
Akatsuki's No. 3 (Hidan), dead.
