How Kurama Leads Naruto Astray

"Nani, it's already been three years!" The fifteen-year-old Naruto said, shocked, 

"I remember just yesterday I was talking to Grandpa Six Paths about training, and now three years have passed?"

Fifteen-year-old Sasuke sighed helplessly, 

"Do you always forget the time when you train?"

It's already been three years since they arrived in this time. If they were counting their real ages, they would be turning sixteen in a few months, which means they would be considered adults. According to the agreement with Grandpa Six Paths, it was about time for them to go back.

Naruto scratched the back of his head, 

"But it feels like it hasn't been that long. I didn't expect we'd have to say goodbye so soon."

Thinking about the villagers back in the village, he felt a little reluctant to leave.

The villagers had really taken good care of them. Except for the first year when they were training at the three great sacred places and didn't interact much with the villagers, they had spent most of their time in the village. 

The villagers were warm and kind. Knowing they didn't have a place to stay, they built them a house. They would often bring them food, and Naruto and Sasuke felt bad about it, so they would help the villagers with little tasks.

They helped with things like driving away wild animals, cutting trees, and farming. It was a way to practice chakra control while helping the villagers.

They had been doing this for more than two years, and by now, they had gotten used to life in this time. They weren't wearing their old clothes anymore; they were now dressed in the robes of Grandpa Six Paths.

It was similar to the white Hagoromo robes but even looser, with Tomoe and the Rinnegan symbols on it.

It wasn't just a regular robe.

When Naruto spoke, Sasuke also felt a bit reluctant, though he didn't show it as obviously as Naruto. 

"Didn't Kurama come back recently? Since then, I've felt like it's about time, and now it really is."

Kurama had finished his training recently and somehow returned, but once he came back, he hid in Naruto's inner world, saying he wouldn't come out. Now, he was claiming he wanted to reflect on the results of his training over the years.

Up until now, he had been asleep in the inner world for more than a month. If it weren't for the fact that he was still breathing, Naruto would have thought he was a corpse.

As they were talking, Hagoromo walked in with a kind smile on his face.

Naruto and Sasuke both stood up and respectfully greeted him.

Hagoromo wasn't bothered. He walked up to them and looked at them, "Sasuke is right. It's time for you both to go back."

Naruto lowered his head, saying nothing.

Sasuke nodded, "It really is about time."

When they first came to this time, Kurama had told Jiraiya that they would return after two years. Through the dragon veins, they could go directly to two years later, so it wasn't like they were breaking any promises. However, their ages had effectively increased by one year.

It wasn't a big deal.

"If you stay any longer, there's no need," Hagoromo smiled. "You both have already mastered Sage Mode. Naruto, your Six Paths Yang Power and Tailed Beast Power are nearly fully trained. Sasuke, you have almost fully grasped Six Paths Yin Power and the Rinnegan Power. 

Now, there's nothing more I can teach you."

The Six Paths Power refers to Six Paths Yang Power, Tailed Beast Power, Six Paths Yin Power, Six Paths Reincarnation Power, and Sage Power. Both of them had already mastered the Sage Power.

Naruto learned to master the Six Paths Yang Power and Tailed Beast Power, while Sasuke focused on the Six Paths Yin Power and Reincarnation Power. Now, they might not have completely mastered them, but they both had already learned to use the Six Paths Powers.

As for their combat strength, while we won't get into that, they were certainly without many rivals.

(P.S. The concept of Six Paths Powers is an alternate setting by the author, not part of the original work. In the original story, Six Paths Power was just Six Paths Power, and Kishimoto never clearly explained it. But one thing is certain: in the original work, Tailed Beast Power, Sage Power, and Reincarnation Power existed, though whether they were related to Rikudou Sennin is unclear.)

Naruto and Sasuke exchanged a glance, then both bowed deeply to Hagoromo and said, "Thank you for all your guidance."

Hagoromo shook his head but didn't reject their gratitude. "Now, go say your goodbyes to the villagers. Tomorrow morning, I'll send you back to your time."

Naruto paused for a moment. "Aren't we supposed to go back through the dragon veins?"

Sasuke immediately rolled his eyes. "Idiot."

"What did you say!" Naruto snapped, glaring at Sasuke.

Sasuke said impatiently, "After learning Six Paths Power for so long, don't you get it? The power of the dragon veins is Six Paths Grandpa's power. After creating the nine Tailed Beasts, Six Paths Grandpa gave up his chakra and life to banish them. That's how the dragon veins were formed. Do you think releasing the Ten Tails would've killed Six Paths Grandpa just like that?"

Honestly, Kushina managed to survive for so long after losing the Tailed Beast. With Rikudou Sennin's vitality and chakra, he could've lasted for hundreds more years. Plus, removing the chakra of the Tailed Beasts to create the nine beasts didn't mean he lost the Tailed Beasts directly.

Rikudou Sennin's death was due to the Ten Tails' shell being placed on the moon while he himself gave up his long life and vast chakra.

Naruto stood there, stunned.

He had no idea at all, and hadn't felt anything.

"Then, Six Paths Grandpa, doesn't that mean you can travel through time freely?" Naruto asked, shocked.

Hagoromo chuckled softly and shook his head. "The reason you two are in this time is because, besides my chakra influence, it's also due to Naruto's father's ninjutsu. The combination of Six Paths Power and Space-Time Ninjutsu created this result."

They also distributed things they had left behind, like food and animal skins, to the villagers.

The villagers expressed their reluctance, especially since these two were already fifteen years old and hadn't had children yet. They were getting anxious.

So, when they learned that Naruto and Sasuke would be leaving the next morning, many villagers made preparations to make sure Naruto and Sasuke left behind something before they went.

Anyway, not to mention how the two of them managed to avoid trouble that night, by the time the sky was still dim, Naruto and Sasuke had already reached the center of Hagoromo's dojo, and there was no one else around.

Seeing their slightly disheveled figures, Hagoromo chuckled. "Looks like you two have said your goodbyes."

Naruto and Sasuke exchanged a glance, adjusted their clothes, and their faces turned serious.

Oh, it wasn't the clothes they wore before, as those no longer fit. They were wearing the dojo's attire now.

Naruto stepped forward, pulled a blue stone from his pocket, and said, "Grandpa Hagoromo, this is a stone Sasuke and I found while training. We kept it because we thought the color was nice."

"Although it's not something precious, we still want to thank you for your constant care." Naruto's face was full of gratitude.

Hagoromo was momentarily stunned, instinctively taking the stone from Naruto's hand. It was a blue stone, about the size of a fist, irregular in shape, but its bright color and sparkling shine made it clear that this was not an ordinary stone.

Looking at the stone in his hand, Hagoromo smiled, his gaze resting briefly on Naruto's chest, before nodding and accepting it. "I'll take it."

Naruto smiled, and Sasuke let out a small sigh of relief.

After all, it was just a strangely colored stone, not something valuable.

"Are you ready?" Hagoromo asked.

The two took a deep breath, then nodded in unison. "We're ready!"

"Then, let's begin." Hagoromo closed his eyes, and in the next moment, he suddenly opened them wide. A powerful force burst forth as his clothes floated mysteriously. With the explosion of chakra, a blood-red Rinnegan (Nine Tomoe Rinnegan) appeared on his forehead.

A powerful force, mixed with an overwhelming sense of pressure, wrapped around Naruto and Sasuke before they could even react, and in an instant, they vanished from the spot.

"Leave the future to you two." Hagoromo closed his eyes, and the Tomoe Rinnegan on his forehead slowly closed, leaving only his solitary figure standing in the dojo.

A bit lonely, yet facing the rising sun.

(Oh, just to avoid any misunderstandings, I'll explain a bit. The setting for the Six Paths power in this chapter is a bit of a reimagining, as the original setting was very messy, so I used a reimagined version. The concept of the dragon vein is also a reimagined idea because I couldn't find a reasonable explanation for the power of the dragon vein, which is a bit ridiculous, so I placed it with someone even more ridiculous. As for the Rinnegan, the Nine Tomoe Rinnegan is generally referred to as the Rinnegan, and Sasuke's adult eyes are the Six Tomoe Rinnegan, called Tomoe Rinnegan, which is stronger than a regular Rinnegan but not as strong as the Nine Tomoe Rinnegan. This part is not a reimagining.)
