Chapter 350: The Motive Behind The Sands III
(Third Person POV)
[The Citadel, Years Ago]
Maegelle sat on the bed, rubbing her neck, "Oh...." She said softly, "That is quite the day....."
"You look rather exhausted." A voice said
Maegelle jumped up in shock, "Eh!" She exclaimed as she looked over to see Drakken standing next to the bed, "L-Lord Drakken!!"
Drakken reached for her hand, "Come here." He said and pulled her up, "I've missed you. I wish to smell your hair..."
He pulled her in closer to him, holding her by the waist as he leaned in and smelled her hair. His arms wrapped around her firmly and gently as he felt her warmth.
Maegelle blushed, "M-My Lord..." She said softly, "My hair....is a bit greasy....I've been sweating all day.....I am sorry...."
"It is your scent regardless." Drakken said with a slight smirk, "My sense of smell is far superior to any living creature....this doesn't bother me."
He pulled back slightly and gave her a smile, patting her cheek.
"It....has been some time....." She said softly with a smile, "I admit....I did miss you as well...and the boys...."
"I know." Drakken said as he held her still, "I would like to keep you like this, in my arms.....your warmth....it is something I've yearned....."
"Well...." Maegelle said, "You have Lady Mya and Lady Daranne...."
"But I want you....." Drakken leaned down and smelled her neck, embracing her tightly, "At this moment, I want you....."
"Oh..." Maegelle said, "I knew you had urges.....but sometimes, it is out of hand, Lord Drakken..."
"You took these urges nightly...." Drakken chuckled, giving her shoulder a kiss, "They shouldn't be an issue to you."
"I...I am quite tired..." She said
He pulled away, "I know." He said as he let go of her, "That will have to wait then. I came to see you for a reason, something to help you out."
He walked over to the table where he had a small bag laid on it. He grabbed it and opened it, pulling out a small glass container. It was spherical on the bottom, connected by a small tube on top.
"Oh? What is this?" She asked with a curious face
"A perfume bottle." Drakken said, "Here...look...."
He poured a small amount of dust into it, one with a golden color. He then pulled a vial of clear liquid out of the bag as well and poured it into the bottle. Drakken then closed the bottle with a small cork and proceeded to shake it.
Maegelle watched as there was a brief glow inside the bottle, and watched as it turned to a glowing gold liquid with what looked like mist building up.
"It is just a prototype." Drakken said, "But it would work like this...."
He removed the cork and placed his finger on the top, allowing some of the mist to escape out. He then waved the bottle above them, spraying some of the perfume all over the room. The moment the mist hit Maegelle's skin, she felt a soothing feeling all over her body.
"What....?" She said, her body becoming slightly limp, "What is this?"
Drakken grabbed her by the shoulder and sat her on the bed, "It's a Soothing Perfume." He said, "For those who are in great pain, Maegelle. Spray it on the room and their pain will be soothed temporarily, allowing the healers to do their work more easily. What good is trying to treat a victim if they're trashing around in pain or yelling in your ear."
Maegelle looked at the bottle, "And that.....did it?" She asked, "How?"
Drakken showed her the bottle, "Basically, I mixed some spices and herbs with the Red Dust." He said, "Creating the Gold Fragrance, which is meant for the Soothing Perfume. The Gold Fragrance is the Dust that needs to be heated up in order to be activated. But....placing it over a flame is a bit too niche, so I created the heating agent to activate it inside the bottle. It's quite simple. You place the dust inside along with the liquid and close the bottle. Shake it a bit until the liquid becomes gold and glows. And then open it like I did, waving it around....spreading the perfume around."
Maegelle blinked, "Is this Sorcery?" She asked softly, "How wonderful....."
"No." Drakken said, "Alchemy."
"Alchemy...." She said
"I once spent 22 years studying medicine and healing arts. I wanted to learn how to repair the mortal body without using my Calamity." Drakken said, "I learned many things. And with the limited resources in this world, I think I can still make it work."
"I thought you didn't care much about the people...." She said, "Why would you create something like this?"
"I did it for you." Drakken said as he looked at her, "To aid you in your mission here. I know it would make you happy."
Maegelle looked at him, "You...." She said softly, "You did this for me?"
Drakken nodded, "The Blue and Red Dust is quite limited." He said, "The process in making it is a bit complicated and takes a while to get a proper batch out. I am too busy to do it....but the past few weeks, I made a few batches so I can prepare them just for you. I want you to be comfortable and happy, to help as many people as you want to convert them to my Trinity. If that is alright with you, of course."
Maegelle smiled, "Yes...."
"I thought of something." Drakken told her, "A way to create an abundance of Blue and Red Dust.....to have a nearly infinite amount of it....so you can help as many people as you want. And the more people you help, the more will be converted. It is beneficial to me....and well, it is mostly for you...."
"I see...." Maegelle said, "Would people be hurt?"
"Maybe." Drakken said, "But the good that will come out of it will outweigh the bad. I don't care much....."
"I do it for you."

[Sunspear, Back To The Present]
"I need....time....to think about it." Elia said softly, "About the final condition...that is...."
Drakken was sitting down in front of her, "Sure." He said, "You have until I have completely eradicated the Red Cult here in Dorne. Won't take long, a couple of week....."
Elia looked at him, "Please..." She said, "Leave my people be....the innocents...."
"I don't plan on harming them." Drakken said, "But know that you have accepted the other conditions....it is just that final part. We'll seal our Deal with a blood contract, Elia Martell. But not now, obviously."
"A blood contract?" Tristeyn spoke up, "Forgive me for speaking out of line, but why would we allow our Princess to do that?"
"Tristeyn!" Elia looked at him with a scowl, "Don't overstep!"
Drakken looked at him, "It is either a Blood Contract....the Divine Blood Pact.." He said, "Or it is a child born of Drakken's Blood. Make your choice, what would be better for both Elia or Dorne."
Elia stood up, "I already told you..." She said, "I need time to think on it....."
"Of course." Drakken stood up, "In the meantime, I want this one to round up all of Oren's sympathizers and give them a choice....submit....or die....that is my order to you lot as your God."
Elia looked at Tristeyn, "Do it." She said softly, "Please, give us the room."
Tristeyn nodded, "As you wish. Call for me if you need anything."
He then left the room, closing the door behind him.
Drakken smirked slightly, "Lover?"
Elia looked at him with a scowl, "You...." She said, "That is no concern of yours."
"Think about your people, about Dorne." Drakken said, "Choose the Blood Contract."
"I won't stoop to sorcery of that kind...." She frowned, "I have humiliated myself enough...."
"I am not going to cuckold a man. Not again." Drakken chuckled, "It gets tasteless after a while. But.....those are your options, Elia Martell."
"Call for me when you're ready."
