Chapter 3.3
I nodded my head to show I understood, her hand still on my mouth.
"Fuck, this is annoying," our pursuer cursed, beginning her search, "but penguin always pays extra to those who get the job done right and Goddess knows I need the money."
Slowly, the thug began combing her way through the classroom, looking under each desk, behind each furniture.
Taylor began trembling a little, out of adrenaline or nerves, "…stupid, should've known she'd give pay bonuses, should've known, stupid…" she mumbled under her breath.
Eventually, our enemy finished combing the rest of the classroom. All that was left for her to look through was the teacher's desk under which we were hiding.
Taylor closed her eyes and when she opened them she looked resolved to do something.
A moment later our pursuer screamed at the top of her lungs. "Fuck! What the fuck bit me!" a second later the sound of a leg kicking a desk was heard. "Holy shit! Holy goddess shit! No no no! Not like this! Infirmary! I have to get to the infirmary!" A moment later she ran out of the classroom like her life depended on it.
I looked at Taylor, confused and a little scared. She shrugged, making a who knows gesture.
Taylor stood up to see what happened and then crouched back down to speak to me, "Well, now we know what happened. There's a huge, crushed spider on the floor. It probably bit her."
I grabbed the hand she offered me and used it to stand up. "Talk about good luck, huh? Maybe I need to hang out with you more often." I joked.
I thought that would get a laugh out of her, but she frowned, "You are the school little sweetheart. You could snap your fingers and have ten girls give you whatever you want. What would you know about bad luck?" she muttered angrily.
I wrapped my arm around her shoulder in a friendly manner, "You really are a charmer aren't you." I chuckled. "I can't hardly believe you aren't swimming with friends such a winning attitude. As a matter of fact continue like this and I might start swooning for you."
Her cheeks went red once more and she looked the other way, putting some distance between our faces. Then, she sighed, expelling the tension from her body. More calmly, she said, "Look, I'm sorry. It's been a long day. Thanks for trying to help. Your…intention is appreciated. I'm going to leave you with the teachers and then I'll be going."
"Wait, where are you going?"
"I'm skipping the rest of the day. I don't think I'll be able to focus on my classes and I need to…do some stuff."
Hearing her say that, I snapped my fingers and exclaimed, "Skipping school? Brilliant idea! Brilliant! I'm down!"
I grabbed her hand and began dragging her out while chuckling, "Let's go! Come on! Let's get outta this bitch!"
"W-wait!" she stuttered, face turning beet red, "H-h-old on a sec, I meant, I um, just myself and-"
As we rounded a corner in our sprint to make it out of the building, I saw one of the penguin's goons and suddenly grabbed Taylor and held her tight against me, covering her mouth and entering a nearby closet.
We waited there for a couple of long uncomfortable seconds, plastered to each other in that too small space. Despite having no breasts, I could feel her decently sized butt pressing against my nether regions and did my best not to think about it so as to not get a boner.
After a few seconds of that, Taylor began trembling and breathing hard.
I leaned down to whisper in her ear, "Don't be scared, Taylor. She won't find us."
"Y-yeah."
Once the coast was clear, we exited the closet. Taylor seemed to be thinking about something, her head down. But, I just ignored her behavior and kept us on course to the exit.
After that scare, there were no more since we were moving away from the cafeteria were the whole chaos had began.
Eventually, we reached the school gate. Of course, we couldn't just walk out through the main exit, since this was the best school in Gothic City. It had competent and well paid guards. No, we'd have to jump the gate.
"Here's the plan." I told Taylor, "We're gonna jump the gate. I'll give you a lift, since I'm stronger. Step on my hands and I'll raise you up."
She nodded her head and placed her foot on my hands. Then I exerted force with all my might…but I'd forgotten once more that my body was not muscular like before. I only managed to hold her for a second and then my arms gave up.
"Uh, sorry, I guess I'm not strong enough, haha."
Seeing my disappointment, she tried to console me.
"I-it's okay, I've been working out, so I can climb by myself anyways! A-as a matter of fact, I can lift you up!"
She looked pretty thin and bony so I was a little suspicious as to weather she was lying about working out just to look good in front of me, but I gave her the benefit of the doubt and stepped on her hands.
Much to my embarrassment, she actually did manage to lift me up a fair amount and I grabbed the top of the gate, pulling myself up over it and to the other side.
Taylor then backed away several steps and then sprinted so she could then jump on it. She then climbed the gate with practiced ease, giving off the fact that she must have done this before.
"Where to now, captain?" I asked her once she finished.
"W-well, I was planning on going to see the…well, the Avengers. They are signing autograph's and mingling with the community today, and it's s-stupid, I guess, but I'm a huge fan of them." She scanned my face for any signs of ridicule or disapproval. "You don't have to come of course!"
