Honkai x LOTM: Godish of Mysteries

In Otto's opinion, Herrschers weren't horses but instead killing machines sent by the Honkai, and with each Herrscher wielding an Authority.

Authorities throughout the Mihoyo Universe were a broad term for powers that an individual can use to manipulate reality.

It could even be said that anyone who wields an Authority and has Divinity in a sense could be considered an Angel (Sequence 2).

In the World of Teyvat (Genshin Impact), Archons and Dragon Sovereigns had Authorities of their respective elements. The Four Shades had one of each Authority of Space, Time, Death, and Life. The Primordial One had the Authority of Reason.

In the Cosmos outside of Earth lie Emanators who have Partial Authority of their Path from their Aeons...While THEY(Aeons) are the symbols of their Path and have full Authority and Symbolism of their Path.

Meanwhile, on Earth, Herrschers do have access to an Authority, but power-wise, if they aren't attuned or are quite barebones in their application of their Authorities.

They would be quite weak but still formidable and not to be underestimated.

In this memory, since Fu Hua didn't have a full grasp on what the Herrscher of Fire could do during that time. It would mean HIMEKO's Authority of Fire couldn't be at its full potential.

Since Himeko was a newly born Herrscher, she had no idea how to use her full power...Meaning the Herrscher was the perfect victim.

Taking in the sight of the flames licking the air, Otto adjusted the crystal monocle on his face.

"Alright, good buddy old pal, are you ready to jump that Herrscher?"

"Jump? What type of phrase is that?" Fu Hua asked with a deadpan look.

"Simple! I'll give you an opening so you can get up close and personal, then with you're martial arts prowess, you'll start beating on the Herrscher till the point she's stunned, and when I join the fray, it'll be an easy win."

Fu Hua had several questions like how he learn to dodge like that, or how he simply teleported unharmed out of the fire, she decided to go with his word...Just like how she always had, but now as comrades, which felt strange.

"I'll be a miracle if you can pull that off after all, you're not known for your fighting ability, but I'll put my trust in you since...You've always delivered your promises one way or another."

"Alright, thank you for you're cooperation. Though hidden in the depths of memory, the act we'll perform will be the most stunning of all!"

Fu Hua winced at his strange choice of words, but her rapid eyes shifted as Otto suddenly disappeared.

His figure approached the incoming storm of fire.

"Witness me!"

"How can a man like that be this overly dramatic?" Fu Hua followed suit as well, taking a route to the side.

After a burst of speed, Otto lessened his steps where the flames burst, and within a moment, the blazing storm dimmed to a simmer.

What came out was the familiar Herrscher of Fire, spouting out a wicked smile at him and seemingly wanting to end his life. The Flames spewing out from the Herrscher's body seemed to converge into that of a Greatsword.

'Oh, I didn't notice it before, but this Herrscher must really despise me if she keeps on targeting me. Is it because of the Gray Fog, or is it Fu Hua's subconscious wanting to murder me?

"Wow! You learned some new tricks...Good Herrscher." He complimented as if he were talking to a dog.

As if provoked by his words, the Herrscher swung her blade at the man, but before she could, the sound of someone's mouth popping reached her ears.

*POP*

The Herrscher's head and body flung backwards as if a bullet of air had hit her head. It didn't do much damage, but it still had enough impact to stop her attack.

"Herrschers sure are tough," Otto muttered to himself. Although he couldn't use Honkai Energy because he was fueling the Memory Reconstruction, he could still utilize Spirituality.

Seeing that close range wasn't working, HIMEKO switched tactics. With both of her hands, she clasped them together until the flames engulfed under the sheer pressure of her Authority, combusted into a massive beam of pure thermal energy.

KRAK-KOOM

Destruction was left in its wake as the entire space heated up to the point of distortion from the sheer force of it.

Even with the heat of an exploding star coming at him, the Schicksal Overseer could only smile at the incoming attack and adjust his fair crystal monocle.

Behind his figure, a phantom of a huge ancient stone clock was summoned. With a single tick of its clock hand, a shroud of monochromatic aura started to surround the entire memory scape.

The Concept of Time was stopped for a mere second, and within that time frame, Otto made his move as his illusionary figure jumped into the flames.

As time resumed, the Herrscher didn't stop her onslaught of flames and kept on launching blazing hellstorms.

The massive surge of energy exploded into numerous bursts of flames, and as her hand was about to fling another, a sudden sharp pain went through her chest. She looked down to see a rebar plunged into the middle of her chest.

Her eyes glanced back at the blonde man, smirking like a clown, and his clothes with dimming, singed flames as if he walked out of them.

Flame Jumping was quite useful since even if a Herrscher had Authority over flames, it still wouldn't stop the jump, but only the destination and position of a Flame.

"Fu Hua!" Otto shouted as he twisted the rebar upward to scatter the Herrscher's chest out. With his Spirituality heavily drained to 30% he would need Fu Hua's martial arts to commence thy jumping.

The Herrscher let out a scream of anguish as blood started to drip from her pierced wound. The Herrscher started to light up into nuclear fireworks, but a hit to the back of her head stopped her in her tracks.

Arriving at the battlefield, Fu Hua started to let loose onto the Herrscher as blow after blow comboed into each like a dance.

White Tiger Dashing

The air started to flow into a flurry of shockwaves with each combo Fu Hua delivered onto the Herrscher's defenses.

Although disoriented, the Herrscher kept up the heat, causing the rebar to ash, and she let out a bloodthirsty grin as she was about to blow up.

Another hit to her legs from Otto caused her to tumble onto the ground, and her mind shook in nauseating disgust from her head being knocked. Seizing the chance, Otto started blasting each of Himeko's limbs with Air Bullets till they bruised and cracked.

With the Herrscher staggering onto the cracked floor, Fu Hua crossed her arms and stomped downward onto the ground.

Kick of the Vermillion Phoenix

A shockwave of pure air crushed the Herrscher down into the ground, driven by the immense pressure. The sound of bone cracking reached Fu Hua's ears. A sudden well of guilt flooded her emotions, but she nipped it off.

The past was the past.

The air around the area began to condense and flow rapidly, following the previous surge of Fu Hua's attacks. Even though her body wasn't as strong as it used to be in this memory, her martial arts still burned bright.

She was Fu Hua, the former Flame Chaser, who bore the title of Vicissitude and now Valkyrie, who will always fight for Humanity.

With a wide arm stance, the flowing air started to converge onto the Flame Chaser's figure, and it started to pick up into a tempest of wind.

Even as the Herrscher was about to die, it started to smile at Fu Hua, and with its last breath.

"...Good job, Fu Hua."

Fu Hua smiled back at its sudden words, "Even if this is a memory, thank you for teaching me, Himeko-sensei, and...goodbye."

Within a second, the flowing winds took the shape of a Chinese dragon surging around Fu Hua, and with a motion of her hands together, she launched it.

Wave of Azure Dragon

The winds flowed as they blasted the Herrscher with pure air pressure, and the dragon devoured the False God.

A burst of air exploded onto the Herrscher, and with each passing moment, her corpse went further down and down into the earth until the Herrscher of Fire was pulverized into a crater.

In the aftermath of her attack, Fu Hua cast a downward glance at the fallen corpse of Himeko from a Previous Era. She ripped off her gloves and threw them down at the gaping hole.

"I'll send you off to tomorrow, I promise."

Walking away from the devastation, Fu Hua looked around and spotted Otto inching closer to her. She let out a contented sigh and asked.

"Satisfied now?"

He nodded his head, "Who knew that you'd have such rich memories. Although the data is quite weak, we'll have a better understanding of dealing with the Herrscher of Fire."

Fu Hua took a moment as hesitation gripped her tongue, but she asked another question,

"If someone you knew and cared about was suddenly turned into a Herrscher, what would you do?"

"Hmm...That is a tough question. I would normally say manipulate them for my own goals, but if it were Theresa, I would do what is necessary to bring her back from the sickness called Honkai."

"Then what if you're Old Friend, Fu Hua, were to turn into a Herrscher?"

"Convince her it isn't worth it...Since you'd be tearing down all the hard work you've done for thousands of years, or using affectionate violence to bring back her senses. Sometimes violence is the answer."

"...You're strange." Fu Hua couldn't believe his answer and felt that it was only half the truth; after all, affection and Apocalypse certainly don't mix.

"It doesn't matter if you believe me or not. It's a mystery for you to find out...Onto the next memory, my dear Watson!" As he started walking forward in a random direction

A surge of irritation started to bubble in Fu Hua...In one way or another, that man was the only one who could get her on her nerves this easily. It was maddening and comforting in a way that her Overseer would always find a way to tick her off.

Out of her thoughts, Fu Hua followed behind Otto as he suddenly stopped in the middle of the road and waved his finger like a wand.

"Open sesame." A white door emerged from a flurry of golden feathers.

"So this door will lead onto the next memory. How deep are we going into my memories?" Fu Hua questioned with a tilted head.

"This will be our last trip. I am running out of steam, and hopefully I'll get to see something interesting! Maybe more of you're Pioneer Friends."

"It'll be an interesting reunion."

As Otto twisted the knob, a sudden surge of coldness started to devour the hellish heat. A gentle white mist started to cover the burned city in a blanket of cold.

"So the Deliverer has finally arrived." Otto softly muttered to himself.

"Kevin?"

Fu Hua looked back and saw a shroud of icy mist starting to surge toward both of them. Her instincts and mind started to freeze from one singular memory, a white haired man engulfing the Herrscher of Fire into a coffin of ice.

Before her mind slipped any further, a hand forcefully grabbed her to the door.

"In we go!"

Those were the last words she heard as her sight went black.

...

"Fu Hua." A voice seemingly shouted at her.

"Fu Hua." The voice went louder as her senses seemed to be asleep.

"Fu Hua!" Third time was the charm as Fu Hua opened her eyes to an enclosed laboratory that seemed to have the scent of instant ramen flooding her nose.

The person who woke her up was a tall adult woman wearing a lab coat and glasses with long, curly, green hair that extended to her waist.

A familiar name popped up in her mind as she saw the woman.

"Sorry, Mobius...What were we discussing before?"

"Interesting. You're still able to forget despite the treatment that MEI gave you. Seems like some unknown abnormalities are popping up...Want me to check up on you? All you have to do is lie down on my lab table." Mobius sweetly tried to convince Fu Hua like how a Pink Elf does.

"No, thank you...Miss Mobius, just a good night's rest, and I'll be fine. If you don't mind answering, have you seen my friend...He has blonde hair, green eyes, and has the aura of a swindler."

"...You mean the guest? Yeah, I saw him...Apparently, the moment he got into the Fire Moth base, Elysia started hounding him and kept on calling him Blasphemer, Deviant, Father of Devils, etc. First time I ever saw her like that."

Fu Hua stood silent for a moment....

"What?"
