Honkai Won’t Stop Chasing Me

Chapter 105: Chapter 105: Landau's Choice

"He probably didn't anticipate an invasion either!" Stelle's reply interrupted Serval's train of thought.

"Uh, you're right about that! Anyway, since my little brother dragged me down here, I've gotta make myself useful." Serval patted the electric guitar at her waist. "Time to zap those monsters!"

[Serval, shock me, shock me!]

[Where did this degenerate come from? Wouldn't it be better to be her electric guitar? Hehe!]

[Sigh, what's wrong with society these days? Always someone eyeing my wife.]

[Confirmed! Yang Yongxin, Belobog branch.]

[Monsters: Are you serious? Guitar: Are you really serious?]

[Either the monsters die today, or the guitar short-circuits!]

——

Soon.

Gepard and the Silvermane Guards appeared before the two.

At this moment, Gepard was deploying combat directives,

perfectly showcasing his mature command.

Though the leader of an army, he insisted on charging the frontlines, a wave of characterization that won Gepard countless fans.

[Holy crap, Gepard's too cool! Nice, real general energy.]

[Commanding and fighting on the frontlines? Having Gepard in the Silvermane Guards is such a blessing. Bronya must have it so much easier with him around.]

[This is so touching! "I must do everything to save every resident's life—I will keep my word!" The Silvermane Guards have truly integrated into the Underworld. No need to worry anymore—Belobog is truly united now.]

[Gepard's showing the Underworld's people the Silvermane Guards' resolve and attitude here.]

[Gepard's absolutely badass in this moment!]

——

To boost morale and enhance overall combat effectiveness, Gepard led Stelle and Serval to the frontlines, advancing deeper into the battlefield while searching for refugees along the way.

Countless miners sprinted toward the exit, while the Silvermane Guards became the sole "counter-current," pushing forward against the flow.

As they ventured further, Stelle's group spotted several miners,

now gravely injured and collapsed on the ground.

In an instant, countless Fragmentum creatures swarmed toward the miners.

Fortunately, Stelle and Gepard reacted swiftly.

Stelle's bat struck down a wave of monsters, while Gepard used his power of Preservation to shield everyone present.

The Silvermane Guards then rushed in, quickly ending the battle.

"Finally!" Gepard exhaled in relief, ordering some guards to evacuate the wounded

while leading the remaining troops forward.

Stelle, however, sensed something amiss. She exhaled a puff of warm breath into the air, now visible as mist. "The temperature's dropping!!!"

But there was no time to dwell on it. Stelle and Serval pressed on cautiously.

Before long.

The two arrived at a temporary miner gathering site.

"Y-you… are you the S-Silvermane Guards?" A miner rushed up to Gepard.

"Please, save that girl! My brother chased after her and still hasn't returned!"

Gepard nodded solemnly. "Understood. I'll bring them back. The Silvermane Guards and Wildfire have set up defenses on the bridge. Evacuate there first."

"It's bad—monsters! Monsters are coming this way!"

Just then, a miner's scream shattered the tense atmosphere.

Gepard acted decisively. "Leave the fighting to us. Get out of here!"

The situation was critical—the Fragmentum monster "Extraterrestrial Blaze" had appeared before them.

Of course, given Stelle and Gepard's current combat prowess, they handled it without much trouble.

Gepard clenched his fists. "The monsters are already here? Search for survivors immediately!"

Without hesitation, the group pressed forward, scanning for stranded refugees.

After just a few steps, the sound of a child's crying reached their ears.

The camera panned forward, revealing an older sister shielding her sobbing younger brother with her back, enduring the monster's attacks.

Stelle and Gepard moved at their fastest speed yet.

After a brief skirmish,

the siblings were safe.

"You two—this place is too dangerous." Gepard panted heavily. "Head to the mining bridge. The Silvermane Guards and Wildfire will protect you there!"

"Thank you! Thank you!" The rescued sister grabbed her brother's hand. "Let's go, quick!"

Serval watched the scene, momentarily lost in thought.

"The monsters seem tougher than before. Creatures of the same type were never this difficult to deal with…" Gepard's frown deepened.

"Good thing we arrived in time. Any later, and the consequences would've been unthinkable!"

Hearing Serval's words, Gepard's expression softened slightly.

"That girl… she was brave. Reminds me of you back then."

"Hah? No way, no way. Dad was always grumpy, but he's nothing compared to Fragmentum monsters!

Besides, the reason I couldn't stand him wasn't because he was too strict!"

[This part—I feel like I can see it in my head?]

[Pfft, here we go with the "visualization" again. Are you a Mahjong tile or what?]

[It's the Light Cone! Landau's Choice! Back then, Serval protected Gepard just like that older sister did.]

[??? What the heck?]

[The latest merch from the Interastral Pictures City—the Light Cones mentioned in Season 1. MiHoYo made them into projection cards with story summaries.]

[Projection cards?]

[Think of them like film strips and a projector. Light Cones can only be used with a projector.]

[That's actually pretty cool! I'm gonna get a set too!]

[Buy? They're exchanged with Simulated Universe points! Money won't help you here!]

[F2P supremacy—equality under the heavens?]

——

As the story progressed, the group continued searching for survivors.

But Gepard and Serval were now exchanging words about the Landau family's affairs.

Stelle stared blankly, her gaze shifting between the siblings.

Eventually, the two ended the unpleasant topic amicably.

Coincidentally, after turning a corner, they encountered another miner.

After a brief exchange, viewers realized this was the five-star citizen who had rushed in to save the siblings.

However, human strength has its limits—he barely held off the monsters

but couldn't protect the siblings at the same time.

Relieved to hear from Gepard that the siblings were safe, he agreed to evacuate.

Before leaving, he turned back to warn them:

"But there's an incredibly strong monster ahead—seems like their leader. Be careful."

Gepard tallied the situation. "Based on the miners' reports, all refugees here should've been evacuated. Now, we just need to pursue the remaining Fragmentum monsters and drive them out of the mining zone.

But the air around us is nearly freezing, as if we've left Beloborg and entered the snow plains.

There must be a powerful enemy ahead! Serval, Trailblazer stay sharp."
