Honkai: Star Rail — Kamen Rider!

Chapter 45: Honkai: Star Rail — Kamen Rider! [45]

Not long ago—

"Hey… have you noticed something off about this?"

Robin, currently helping lead the guerrilla strategy, had begun to sense something strange on the battlefield.

Maybe it was because this was her first time on a real front line—her attention to detail was overly sharp. But she voiced her suspicion anyway:

"These Voidwalkers… they're not chasing us."

She frowned, thinking hard, then blinked as a comparison clicked into place—like the time she'd seen venue security pushing crowds away before a concert.

"…It's like they're herding us. Like they don't want us moving forward."

Robin's observation rippled across the camp. The others began to piece things together. Until now, their focus had been on survival and strike coordination—no one had paused to read enemy movement patterns.

But now, the strange behavior of the Voidwalkers made sense.

"If that's what they're doing… then what are they trying to keep us away from?"

The question spread quickly.

Anna, thinking it through, stiffened. She knew the Lord Ravager's ultimate objective was total annihilation.

So why hadn't the Voidwalkers attacked them directly?

Why push them back… unless they were trying to isolate something?

She and Robin locked eyes—and came to the same conclusion.

"Sora!"

...

"We made it. We made it in time…"

Robin finally allowed herself to breathe once the barrage of deadly arrows had been blocked and the swarm of Voidwalkers around Sora crushed underfoot.

But the Doomsday Beast, destabilized by an outside force, suddenly pitched forward—sending its riders tumbling from above.

It was massive—several dozen meters tall. Falling from its back was like plummeting off a ten-story building.

Anna had never experienced anything like this. She couldn't even scream. Her body locked up in fear.

Robin held her tightly, twisting her own body to absorb the impact.

At the very least, she'd keep Anna safe.

But then she noticed something strange.

Why is it taking so long to hit the ground?

Opening her eyes in confusion, she saw a hovering form just above her—glowing faintly, exerting a gentle pull.

It looked like a bird.

Only, its metallic form and angular body clearly said machine, not creature.

"…Isn't that Sora's—?"

Robin instantly recognized it.

The annoying thing that kept poking her ears. The little drone Sora had called Xtreme.

He'd said it was only a semi-intelligent mechanical device—but how could something so small be generating this much lift?

She and Anna landed softly. Xtreme vanished into the smoke without a sound.

And then—twin beams of light pierced the haze: one green, one violet.

A clear, resonant cry echoed through the field.

"[Xtreme]!"

Robin stared, dumbfounded.

As if pulled by some invisible force, the smoke began to part, revealing the ground beneath.

The Doomsday Beast, pinned down moments ago, was still struggling—but now it was fully restrained, unable to resist.

Beyond it stood the familiar figure of Sora—unchanged, unmoving.

Only now, Xtreme was docked on his Driver, glowing where it sat against his waist.

Green and violet shards of light pulsed across his armor, drawing out a transformation Robin recognized instantly.

But Sora did something strange.

He brought both hands to his chest—then pulled, as if tearing something open.

"Rrraah!"

Whrrr—whrrr—whrrr—!

A gleam of silver burst through the tangle of green and purple. And with it—something else.

Robin felt it sweep over her, like a breeze… then fire… then starlight…

Like a planet laying itself bare. Like a world sharing everything with another.

Silver surged outward, absorbing green and purple, merging with them—

Until finally, Sora stood bathed in three colors: green, violet, and silver.

And when those colors stabilized, one final pulse of power erupted from him.

This time, Robin saw it clearly.

A blue planet shone like a jewel behind him.

"…What is that?"

Kamen Rider W – CycloneJoker Xtreme.

The ultimate evolution—using the W Driver, combining the base form of CycloneJoker with the Xtreme Memory's full power.

In the series, it connected directly to Earth's massive data banks, allowing instant real-time access to every battle parameter and tactical solution.

And while Sora wasn't on Earth, through the Planetary Library, he had established a link.

From Camille itself—he could now draw strength and knowledge.

"A new coat of paint, and you think that's enough to stop me?"

Zulo's expression was scornful.

He didn't care what form this Rider took. A shiny new body? A fresh transformation? Laughable.

"You're all gathered here. Saves me the trouble of hunting you down one by one."

He narrowed his eyes at the three humans and the Doomsday Beast before him.

"I'll bury you all in one sweep. And this planet—will fall into final silence."

Zulo was done holding back.

His perfect trap had been undone—his patience, snapped.

Golden light began to crawl across his skin, pooling like molten blood—the same hue that once poured from Nanook's open wounds.

This was no longer planetary interference. No borrowed advantage.

This was Zulo's true power.

His body began to shift—his form igniting with golden flame.

"You really think I'll just stand here and let you finish powering up?"

Sora wasn't a JRPG protagonist who waited for the boss's second phase to load.

The moment Zulo's power-up sequence began, Sora made his move.

"[Prism Break]!"

A sword and shield appeared in his hands—the Prismbicker.

And with it, the air itself seemed to shift.

The Doomsday Beast, pinned to the ground moments ago, now rose again—free from Zulo's hold.

The Prismsword radiated an unfamiliar but mighty energy—distinct from the planetary force of Camille, but still resonant with it.

The Bickershield, though compact, was dense as a continent—an anchor capable of absorbing any blow.

Zulo's face flickered. For the first time—uncertainty.

This wasn't a force of Camille.

This was another world's power—and the one thing Zulo didn't want to confront head-on.

That power had just freed the Doomsday Beast.

If he engaged now, it would be a risk.

As a general, he made the call instantly: do not fight here.

Better to retreat, wait for the Aeons' resurgence, and strike again.

Zulo vanished, blinking back several hundred meters.

There, he paused—watching as Sora was quickly surrounded again by Voidwalkers.

Surely this many enhanced units would—

But then something impossible happened.

Sora raised the shield—and slotted in four Gaia Memories.

"[Cyclone]!"

"[Joker]!"

"[Heat]!"

"[Luna]!"

The shield flared.

Each Memory lit up—their energy painting the darkness in brilliant colors.

The Prismsword radiated a rainbow shimmer—combining the forces of wind, fire, intuition, and lunar extension.

A brilliance like planetary essence itself.

"[Bicker Charge Break]!"

The sword ignited.

Sora barely looked at the encroaching enemies.

With a single swipe, he released the blade.

Fshhhh—

It wasn't just a slash—it was a fusion of speed, heat, flexibility, and will.

As long as the heart endured, this world would never fall into shadow.

A blade of light tore outward—wherever it passed, Voidwalkers evaporated like morning dew.

"…Is this really happening?"

Anna and Robin stared in disbelief.

Even the enhanced Voidwalkers couldn't stand against the holy light drawn from another world and wielded by Sora's will.

The glow swept wider, nearly clearing the entire battlefield.

Then—

BOOM!!!

Every remaining Voidwalker exploded—consumed by the brilliance.

From Zulo's perspective, all he could see was fire, erupting and swallowing everything whole.

But the fire didn't scatter.

It converged—drawn back toward one point:

Sora's sword.

And then—

Sora vanished.

In the next instant—he appeared in front of Zulo.

What?!

Zulo staggered.

That distance—how did he cross it?!

But Sora didn't explain.

The holy flame surged up the blade.

He rested it on Zulo's shoulder.

And swung.

The same way you burn others—feel it yourself.

FWOOM—!

A wave of fire cleaved through Zulo—ripping him wide open.
