Honkai: Star Rail – From the Moment Tom The Cat Became My Passenger

Chapter 33: Honkai: Star Rail – From the Moment Tom The Cat Became My Passenger [33]

Stepping out of the council hall refreshed, Yevenko didn't immediately rush to reunite with the Trailblazer crew.

Instead, accompanied by Tom, he vanished in a flash of golden light, returning to his own Astral Express.

Tom headed straight for the kitchen—it seemed hunger had struck him, and he was off to grab a bite.

It was a shame only Yevenko and his summoned characters could use this teleportation. If others could as well, it would have been even more convenient.

Yevenko decided not to cancel his Tom form upon returning. He planned on heading back shortly anyway, so why waste potential time?

Besides, he wasn't quite sure what resource the [Transformation Stone (Tom)] consumed. If it turned out to be single-use, reverting prematurely would be a hilarious disaster.

Better to use it until it wore off, maximizing his sense of safety on Jarilo-VI.

After thoroughly farming exploration points from Cocolia, Yevenko could no longer hold back his burning gacha soul.

The Swarm had already appeared clearly on Jarilo-VI, and though their strength was uncertain, the threat was undeniable. It was best to pull a few more characters to bolster his defenses.

While comedic characters were practically omnipotent, there were still limits. Tom, for example, could do outrageous things when acting subconsciously.

In the original Tom and Jerry, Tom, in his unconscious pursuit of Jerry, had even managed to destroy Heaven itself.

Even God lost a few whiskers facing him.

However, consciously, Tom could falter. Facing the Doomsday Beast, Tom hesitated due to the size difference and mentally limited his power.

Had Yevenko not nearly been hurt earlier, activating Tom's protective rage, defeating the beast might've required much more effort.

If Jarilo-VI's Swarm bugs were severe—like a gigantic mother Swarm bug alongside hordes of smaller insects—Tom might hesitate again.

In that scenario, Tom might just grab Yevenko and flee immediately.

Even though Yevenko himself was currently in Tom's form, he wasn't sure he could fully utilize its comedic potential since he wasn't naturally a cartoon character.

Well, anyway, better start pulling!

"Let's exchange some exploration points. I've got over ten [Star Rail Passes]—might as well do a casual ten-pull first to warm up."

Yevenko tossed ten [Star Rail Passes] into the door.

In the next instant, aside from miscellaneous items popping up around him, a bottle of glowing purple milk appeared in his hand.

He glanced at the name instantly:

[Tom's Specially Prepared Milk]

Reading the description, Yevenko immediately realized—this was the milk Tom originally tried to use to poison Jerry in the cartoon, only for Jerry to drink it and gain immense strength instead.

However, this enhancement seemed proportional.

For example, drinking it would let him easily punch a Voidranger or basic Fragmentum monsters, but against an elite like an Emanator…

He could only think: "Seriously? Me, fighting an Emanator?"

Forget Emanators—even stronger Pathstriders might be troublesome. Maybe he could bully someone at Seele or Bronya's level.

As Yevenko inspected the random items around him, preparing for his [Star Rail Special Pass] pulls, suddenly another flash of purple appeared.

"Two purples in one ten-pull?!"

Yevenko's eyes instantly widened. For someone typically unlucky, two purples were already extraordinary. Today seemed to be his lucky day.

But the next sight made Yevenko's Tom-like eyes pop out like springs, mouth dropping so low his jaw practically hit the floor.

"What the heck?!"

Within the purple glow, a small, adorable brown mouse leisurely walked out. But the moment it touched the Astral Express floor, it vanished completely.

Yevenko rubbed his eyes rapidly, confirming that the mouse had disappeared from the Astral Express.

Unable to see its panel due to its disappearance, Yevenko quickly checked his gacha log.

[Jerry (Ten-Day Star Rail Tour)]

Reading carefully, he confirmed that the mouse was indeed Jerry.

However, Jerry hadn't appeared on the Astral Express—instead, he was already off sightseeing somewhere across the galaxy.

He shuddered to imagine what would happen if Jerry actually appeared here. The Express might not even survive until Aha's next prank—Tom and Jerry alone could dismantle it entirely.

Yevenko wiped off cold sweat that had appeared without him noticing, splattering onto the floor and forming a small puddle.

"Jerry's ten-day tour in Star Rail… The universe is vast, and it's just ten short days. The chances of running into him are basically zero. Nothing to worry about."

"Luckily Tom already went to the kitchen. If he'd spotted Jerry just now, he'd probably have flipped out."

Calming himself, Yevenko returned his attention to the abundant exploration points harvested from Cocolia.

Fervently exchanging them for [Star Rail Special Passes], he acquired exactly five—a minor miracle.

He pulled three times in quick succession, receiving nothing special.

But that was fine. One of the last two pulls was guaranteed to yield at least a purple.

Yevenko tossed the fourth pass casually. Suddenly, dazzling golden light filled his vision.

His breath caught in his throat. He clasped his fists, swinging them furiously while wishing intensely.

"Come on! Give me a gentle, gorgeous girl who cooks amazing food and is super powerful!"

In the next moment, amidst golden radiance and crackling lightning, a girl with flowing purple hair emerged clearly—but Yevenko's excited smile drooped immediately upon recognizing her.

After all, the one person who had absolutely zero culinary skill had appeared.

Purple hair intricately braided, falling gracefully to her waist, the girl's elegant features remained expressionless. She wore a luxurious purple kimono that beautifully accentuated her delicate waist.

[Raiden Ei]

Information flashed instantly in Yevenko's eyes.

Raiden Ei seemed puzzled, likely due to the unfamiliar surroundings.

Yet when her violet eyes landed on Yevenko, despite seeing Tom's appearance, the reflection within her eyes showed Yevenko's true form. A faint, cherry-blossom-like smile formed gently on her lips.

The confusion faded slowly as she softly called out:

"Yevenko."

Surprised, Yevenko furrowed his brow.

"You…know me?"

Raiden Ei opened her mouth to speak but found no voice emerging. She merely smiled gently and shook her head.

The Xianzhou Luofu

Divination Commission

A small brown mouse abruptly appeared there, scratching his head in confusion as he surveyed the surroundings.

His gaze quickly landed on a plate containing several pastries.

His legs moved on their own accord, and in moments, he'd climbed onto the table, grabbed a pastry, and swallowed it whole—his belly instantly taking the shape of the pastry.

Suddenly, a gentle hand lifted him by the tail, accompanied by a warm, soothing voice.

"Hm? Now, where did this little mouse come from?"
