An hour later, Xia Chen had given Kiana a brief tour of Schicksal Headquarters and found Ana.

"So, you brought Kiana here instead of leaving Durandal at the Far East Branch?" As Ana listened to Xia Chen recount the events, her mouth dropped open. "You mustn't let Rita know this; otherwise, you'll surely face her wrath."

The three of them were currently in the cafeteria, where Ana had invited Kiana for a meal.

Kiana had already consumed three large steaks and looked ready for three more.

However, Ana didn't seem bothered and smiled at Kiana, "By the way, Cousin, would you like me to take you back to the Schariac residence in a couple of days?"

Born in 1999, it was appropriate for her to address Kiana as cousin.

"Cous...Cousin?" Kiana felt slightly bewildered, thinking about Cecilia before shaking her head, "I don't think it's quite suitable for me to go."

She wasn't the real Kiana.

Unaware of this, Ana assumed Kiana hesitated due to being away from home for too long and fear stemming from Siegfried's situation. She reassured her, "It's alright; Lady Cecilia is my aunt, and Mr. Siegfried is also my uncle."

"Since you're here with Schicksal now, it means the Lord Bishop accepts you. Although returning to House Kaslana might be complicated, visiting House Schariac presents no issue." With enthusiasm, she continued, "Don't worry, we share the same bloodline, so there won't be any problems."

Yet, Kiana remained hesitant and shook her head again.

Her reason for secretly coming here, aside from not wanting to involve Theresa, was that she could no longer comfortably accept all the care Theresa provided. Thus, she chose to escape.

Despite Kiana's resilience,

However, it didn't mean she had fully reconciled with her identity as a clone.

The current Kiana hadn't endured the hardships of the Wars of Schicksal or faced Tianqiong Meteor's crisis. Naturally, without those experiences, she couldn't accept being a replica as readily.

Presently, Kiana only possessed part of the Herrscher of the Void's power, but her mental fortitude to control such strength was far from adequate.

While Xia Chen accelerated this process, allowing Kiana to harness the power, he inadvertently deprived her of crucial trials that shaped her character.

Kiana instinctively turned towards Xia Chen, seeking his help.

Xia Chen sighed and said to Ana, "There's no need to rush. Many opportunities lie ahead. Besides, Kiana might not enjoy the same freedom here as we do."

Despite these words, he found the situation peculiar.

Considering Otto's importance placed on Kiana, one would expect him to impose restrictions upon her arrival.

However, Otto chose not to act immediately.

Unbeknownst to Xia Chen, Otto was also contemplating how to handle Kiana—a rare occurrence for him to ponder over something at length.

Kiana's direct arrival at Schicksal Headquarters caught him off guard.

To put it bluntly, he had already witnessed Kiana's current state, but she clearly did not meet his expectations as a 'qualified product.'

Although Kiana possessed the power akin to Herrscher of the Void, Otto could sense her resistance towards this strength and confusion about her identity.

This version of Kiana was not what he envisioned.

At least, with her present mindset, she couldn't support the grand plan he had in mind.

In other words, she fell short of his standards.

As a result, Otto found himself forced to revise many subsequent plans.

Xia Chen's actions undoubtedly presented a significant challenge for him.

"Without experiencing hardship, one cannot become the hero people expect."

His eyebrows slightly furrowed.

"In that case, Amber," Otto paused before continuing, "have Kiana train at the Immortal Blades' training facility first, with Xia Chen overseeing her progress."

"And inform Xia Chen that regarding Coral Island garrison, Kiana will accompany him. Once Kiana passes her A-rank Valkyrie assessment, they should depart immediately."

Otto had to temporarily relinquish this tempting opportunity.

After all, if the meat isn't cooked, there's no point in consuming it prematurely.

He was never known for impatience.

At the Far East Branch, Saint Freya Academy.

When Theresa and Durandal learned that Kiana secretly followed Xia Chen to Schicksal Headquarters, they were utterly speechless.

They had just devised a plausible excuse to buy time, only for Kiana to pull such a move.

Durandal immediately contacted Rita to confirm Kiana's safety.

Fortunately, much to their relief, Kiana was indeed safe.

Rita reported, "Xia Chen and Miss Ana have been taking care of Kiana. The Lord Bishop has not imposed any restrictions on her freedom."

She also sent several photos of Kiana.

Theresa recognized these backgrounds as the dormitory, cafeteria, and training grounds. Suddenly, she felt that Kiana's situation might not be as dire as initially thought.

Durandal couldn't help but ask, "Who is currently responsible for Kiana's daily life? Is it you, Rita?"

"I am not directly responsible," the maid replied elegantly. "Currently, there isn't anyone specifically assigned to oversee Miss Kiana's meals or training. However, Xia Chen will ensure she quickly adapts."

"Lady Amber conveyed her hope for Kiana to swiftly become an A-rank Valkyrie. The Immortal Blades will assist with Miss Kiana's academic tutoring."

Theresa couldn't help but sympathize briefly with Xia Chen, knowing only those personally tutoring Kiana understood her lack of 'motivation' in academics.

Durandal, however, frowned involuntarily. "Xia Chen? That won't do."

"Although he has decent talent, his guidance in training likely falls short compared to Alvitr's expertise. Well, I should return sooner then."

"Lady Durandal seems quite concerned about Miss Kiana," Rita remarked, feigning confusion.

She wanted to gauge if Durandal was aware of Kiana's true background.

However, Durandal didn't pick up on any hidden meaning and matter-of-factly responded, "Kiana is indeed special, being Cecilia-sama's daughter."

"Some of her potential has already been wasted at Saint Freya Academy, but there's still time if she continues striving. Please inform Kiana that from now on, I will oversee her training."

Theresa couldn't help but silently mourn for Kiana once again.

On the side, Rita nodded. "Understood, I'll let her know."

"Mm-hmm."

Rita acknowledged it with a nod, feeling a similar sympathy towards Kiana.

Nonetheless, Rita's opinion of Xia Chen elevated slightly within her heart.

As someone well-informed about Sirin Project, she was aware of the immense cost it entailed. However, Xia Chen had effectively mitigated this burden.

At least from the current outcome, the results were quite promising.
