Mobius's observations came to an end, as there was no way to proceed further.

She delivered her conclusion with a deadpan expression. "No consciousness, no spirit, no cerebrospinal fluid. Doesn't even sleep or dream. Theoretically, we already have no way of defeating him in the mental domain."

Elysia bit her tongue.

Isn't it a bit rude to talk about defeating someone right to their face?

Noldrei, however, was unfazed by Mobius's hostility. Instead, he asked curiously, "Are Honkai Beasts affected when they sleep? I see their body structures are different from humans. If they use dreaming as a substitute for thinking, does that mean Benares is constantly interacting with Sirin in a dream state?"

"Who is Benares?" Mobius didn't know about Benares yet. She instinctively assumed it was just another Honkai Beast.

"A humanoid Honkai Beast," Noldrei answered honestly. "A friend created by a Herrscher in my household."

"Hah, how pathetic. Needing to create your own friends?" Mobius let out an involuntary laugh.

"That's a bit harsh!" Noldrei retorted, annoyed. "Who would want to create their own friends if all their real ones hadn't died? Couldn't you show a little compassion? Mobius, if you could become friends with Sirin, you might even be able to borrow Benares for research."

Elysia stared at Noldrei in shock. Was this the compassion of a man from the future?

"Unnecessary. I've studied plenty of humanoid Honkai Beasts; that type of creature has been thoroughly researched. While their brain structures are different from humans, the thinking effect simulated by Honkai factors hasn't changed much."

"The signaling molecules in Honkai Beasts are different from ours and often can't be simply substituted. Haven't you modified Herrschers before? You should know this better than I do."

Mobius felt that Noldrei was simply playing dumb. From the very beginning, he had no intention of doing the work himself. Or rather, he was waiting for a human to appear who could modify themselves.

And she, Mobius, was that person.

"Tesla has done research on these things," Noldrei said. "She used the power of the Herrscher of Thunder to participate in molecular gene construction. But when it comes to gene molecules she's never seen before, she's not sure how far she can see. After all, this stuff isn't as stable as one might imagine. Besides, Honkai Energy becomes useless once you leave the solar system. In comparison, it's more convenient to find a way to use Stigma to draw power directly from the Imaginary Space."

Noldrei had already planned out the future of human augmentation, but he still lacked a large accumulation of experimental data. It wasn't enough for the people of this era to discern the patterns of molecular change under the influence of Honkai on their own.

His own era didn't have this Honkai thing, so he could only rely on local talent to do the research.

"I heard Tesla is a Honkai Herrscher you created. Can you let me study her?"

Mobius's eyes lit up with eager curiosity, clearly hoping Noldrei would just slice Tesla up and hand her over.

"Doesn't she disobey you? Wouldn't it be better to just give her to me?"

That's going too far! You just show up and you're already trying to get your hands on one of his important friends? Just as Elysia was thinking about whether to stop Mobius, she saw Noldrei's expression waver.

Don't you dare waver now! That's a tsundere doctor who secretly likes you! How sad would she be if she knew you sold her out!

Noldrei hesitated for a long time before saying, with a hint of regret, "Forget it. I doubt Tesla would be willing. If you can find a way to make her willing to be studied by you, then naturally there won't be a problem."

"Don't say such irresponsible things to other girls!" Elysia couldn't help but blurt out. She felt that Dr. Tesla was just too pitiful.

Mobius, however, looked at Elysia as she always did. "Ely, I think you've misunderstood something. In exchange, I will give the Herrscher of Sentience to her for research. That way, we'll be even, right? It's all Mobius anyway. It's the same if I, a memory construct, give a copy of the memory construct Mobius to Tesla for research."

Elysia's mind went blank. She hadn't really processed what Mobius had just said. It sounded like... there might be a sliver of logic to it.

"You can do that?" Ely stood there stunned for a moment, needing to let her brain cells recover.

Since the Herrscher of Sentience wasn't present, Noldrei naturally hadn't considered her feelings. How could a perfectly good Herrscher turn into Mobius just from absorbing too much of Mobius's memories? Still, it was better than that idiot Herrscher who eroded so many people but couldn't even understand their thoughts.

What? You say that was the Herrscher of Corruption? Impossible! Absolutely impossible!

"In any case, I hope you can convey my wishes to her," Mobius continued. "Or, I could also offer myself to her for research. Or perhaps, I could share my experience in human augmentation with her. I believe that doctor will surely accept my goodwill."

Mobius was an excellent researcher with a spirit of sharing. She believed that any researcher Noldrei looked favorably upon must be as outstanding as she was.

Noldrei also thought it would be beneficial for the two of them to push each other forward, and decided to pick a good time to introduce the two doctors.

Elysia thought the two of them were insane. Why would they do this to Dr. Tesla? She was just a bit of a tsundere, not good at expressing her feelings!

Elysia tried to reason with them. "Um, I think it would be better if we all had a little bit of ethical and moral consideration. Mobius, aren't you using a body created from Noldrei's own? Even if you gave it to Dr. Tesla for research, it would be completely useless!"

"Oh? Is that so?" Mobius decided to play dumb. She genuinely wanted to study the Herrscher known as Dr. Tesla.

As the first Herrscher with a compensatory mechanism against Honkai, Dr. Tesla was the prototype for all subsequent Stigma Battlesuits. It was only natural that Mobius would be curious.

Noldrei felt that the current Dr. Tesla would definitely be able to accept this level of human research.
