Honkai Impact 3rd: Catching the Herrscher of Sentience at the Start

"Lady Cocolia, what happened?" The guards rushed in upon hearing Cocolia's call, pointing their weapons at Fu Lin and Fu Shi.

"Stand down. Do not be disrespectful to Lady Fu Shi, the Herrscher of Sentience." Cocolia held her forehead, looking at the surrounded Fu Shi and quickly ordered the guards to withdraw.

"Our apologies." The guards exchanged puzzled glances, slowly lowered their weapons, placed their fists over their hearts in apology to Fu Lin and Fu Shi, and then left the room.

"Lady Herrscher of Sentience, for the rudeness of my subordinates just now, I deserve to die a thousand times." Cocolia descended from above, knelt on one knee, her face full of reverence for Fu Shi, unable to forgive the earlier behavior.

"Modifying consciousness sure comes in handy." Fu Lin looked at the suddenly respectful Cocolia, hugged Fu Shi, and poked her cheek. (～￣▽￣)→))?˙ー˙?)o

"You are not allowed to be this close to Lady Herrscher of Sentience!" Cocolia, seeing Fu Lin so close to Fu Shi, conjured an ice spear and aimed it at his neck.

"Fu Shi, isn't there something wrong with the modifications you made?" ⊙▽⊙ Fu Lin, staring at the spear tip just 0.01 centimeters from his throat, slowly released Fu Shi, slightly flustered, and asked.

"Hahaha, I forgot to include you, my bad, hahaha." ╮(￣▽￣)╭ Fu Shi slightly raised the corners of her mouth, explaining to Fu Lin, who was still under the threat of the spear.

"This way, please." Cocolia stood up, saluted Fu Lin, and then led the way out.

"Lord... Lord Protector!" Franz, seeing Cocolia approach, greeted her nervously.

"Hmm, good work." Cocolia nodded to Franz and then proceeded inside.

"It's no trouble! This is my... my duty. It's an honor to receive encouragement from Lady Cocolia!"

Franz, looking at Cocolia, couldn't help but stand taller, surprised that the usually cold Cocolia would even acknowledge him.

Cocolia operated the terminal briefly, and the central bridge began to rotate slowly until it aligned with the opposite side, then stopped.

"Why does this bridge disconnect? Isn't it inconvenient?" Fu Shi asked curiously, watching the rotating bridge.

"It's for security. Even if the front lines collapse, the Rift's monsters can't cross the bridge to infiltrate the rear. That's how Belobog has survived until now," Cocolia explained to Fu Shi as she stepped onto the bridge and headed to the other side.

"Lady Cocolia, why are you here?" A blond man, seeing Cocolia arrive unexpectedly, glanced at the unfamiliar Fu Lin and Fu Shi behind her, his face full of confusion.

"He looks like... Serval." Fu Lin stared at the blond man, noting the similarity in his eyes and hair color to Serval.

Cocolia introduced him: "This is Gepard Landau, Serval's younger brother and the captain of the Silvermane Guards."

Cocolia commanded, "Gepard, open the gate."

"...Yes, Lady Cocolia." Gepard hesitated at her command but eventually called out to the guards, "Silvermane Guards, hear my order—open the gate!"

"Silvermane Guards, form up!" Gepard, noticing the approaching monsters, quickly organized the guards to prepare for battle and prevent the monsters from breaking through.

"Leave this to me." Fu Shi stopped Gepard, staring at the gathering monsters outside.

"This concerns the safety of Belobog's citizens. Now's not the time for bravado," Gepard said sternly, frowning at Fu Shi's interference.

Cocolia ordered, "Gepard, follow her lead!"

"Pathetic." Fu Shi gripped her sword, and charged at the monsters. In a flash of sword light, countless monsters were cleaved in half.

"So powerful..." Gepard watched Fu Shi moving effortlessly among the monsters, his eyes filled with shock. The creatures that he and the guards fought desperately to fend off now fell like ants under her blade.

Under the astonished gaze of Gepard and the guards, Fu Shi defeated the last monster before they snapped back to reality.

"Thank you for your help. Without you, it would've been difficult for us to fend off so many monsters." Gepard looked at Fu Shi with respect, recalling the overwhelming number of monsters earlier and feeling a lingering fear.

This wave of monsters was far larger than usual. Without her help, there would likely have been significant casualties. But... wait, I still don't know her name.

Feeling a bit awkward, Gepard asked, "Um... may I ask your name?"
