After breakfast, everyone went about their own business.

Following Einstein's instructions, Cocolia and Raiden Ryoma began consolidating intelligence with the aim of clarifying Anti-Entropy's organizational structure. Once Welt completed his ideological blueprint, they would swiftly cleanse the entire organization with lightning speed, molding it into a collective speaking with one voice.

Welt continued reading.

Bronya took Kiana and Sin outside to open space for another round of combat training.

Rozaliya and Liliya persisted with their idol training regimen.

Meanwhile, Seele attended to household chores while also mentoring Raven, now harmless thanks to the Honkai Energy Restraint Device. She aimed to familiarize the girl with basic maid skills—mostly because Zeke wasn't sure what else to have her do. He couldn't trust her outright, but letting her idle away seemed equally wasteful. Given that Seele was not heavily involved in critical tasks, there was little risk of sensitive information being leaked through her.

Tesla and Einstein attempted to educate Raiden Mei; after all, this was their third time nurturing a Herrscher, so they were well-practiced by now.

As for Zeke, he placed Wendy on the lab table and commenced his experiments.

"Lift your right hand."

"The Valkyries of Schicksal will never surrender..."

Wendy's defiant words trailed off as she spotted a laser dagger materialize in Zeke's hand, his expression impassive.

"Understood."

She obediently raised her right arm—still at this point, Wendy hadn't reached the depths of despair or developed hatred for the world; her loyalty to Schicksal remained unwavering.

But wasn't Zeke supposed to be Director Otto's friend? This certainly didn't feel like surrendering out of fear for her life!

Relieved, Wendy's lingering guilt vanished without a trace.

"Hmm, the muscle structure is already beginning to transform, cells adapting towards a peculiar pattern concentrated around the legs. This subtle configuration...seems to be transitioning away from carbon-based biology. So, when fully evolved, Herrschers become silicon-based organisms? Similar to Honkai Beasts? No, that's not quite it... Perhaps pure aggregates of Honkai Energy? Can Honkai Energy coalesce into stable forms over extended periods? It's definitely possible..."

Zeke scrutinized Wendy's body closely.

Apart from utilizing numerous sophisticated instruments beyond Wendy's comprehension, Zeke also conducted a thorough manual examination from head to toe.

Despite wearing high-tech glasses seemingly with X-ray capabilities, Zeke meticulously felt her body while making various notes, his face displaying pure scientific focus without any lewd intentions. However, as a young girl, Wendy couldn't simply ignore her embarrassment due to the situation; her defenses had already crumbled.

The researchers at the Oceania Branch weren't this excessive—at least they didn't grope so intimately!

"Have you...have you finished yet?" Wendy asked, blushing profusely when she was turned over once more.

Zeke ignored her, continuing to manipulate and knead her completely numb legs, muttering under his breath, occasionally frowning or relaxing his brow.

After nearly half an hour, Zeke reviewed the recorded data and conclusions, then closed the virtual screen.

"All done. You can leave now, go about your business." Without sparing Wendy even a glance, Zeke waved dismissively, appearing quite impatient.

Wendy snapped out of her embarrassed daze, blinking in surprise.

"That's it? So quickly?"

In her experience, experiments typically lasted for hours, sometimes even days. They often involved procedures like inserting tubes into her body or cutting her open while fully conscious, accompanied by intense discomfort and severe pain.

Zeke had merely used his hands and instruments for a brief examination, causing neither pain nor discomfort. Apart from feeling slightly embarrassed, it was swiftly over.

Are the researchers at the Oceania Branch just too incompetent?

Or is this merely an appetizer, with the real research yet to come?

Meanwhile, Zeke paid her no heed, already engrossed at another lab station, tinkering with the newly acquired Third Divine Key.

In contrast to his previous emotionless demeanor, he now appeared genuinely intrigued, as if saying—Who cares about Wendy when compared to the 'Key of Lightning'?

Wendy's face flushed once more.

Lying on the experimental table, she lifted her head and glanced down at her smooth, snow-like abdomen and ivory-toned thighs, a surge of dissatisfaction welling within her.

'How am I any less appealing than that darn toy?!'

Yet, Zeke continued to ignore her.

No, he did acknowledge her, but without looking up from handling the Key of Lightning, he calmly stated, "Why haven't you left yet? Should I have the robots carry you out?"

"...No need, I can manage myself," Wendy replied slowly.

Gritting her teeth, she maneuvered herself onto the nearby wheelchair and left the laboratory.

"Pervert! Weirdo! Idiot! No taste at all!" Wendy spun her wheelchair's wheels, advancing down the corridor while muttering discontentedly under her breath. Her delicate and lovely heart had already shattered into pieces on the ground.

"Don't be so harsh; Big Bro Zeke just gets overly absorbed in his work sometimes!" Seele approached from the side, carrying a drink, matching Wendy's pace with the wheelchair. However, without Wendy asking, she refrained from pushing it herself.

Wendy rolled her eyes. "I highly doubt that!"

"Listen, Seele will tell you this: your wheelchair was actually made by Big Bro Zeke himself! Lord Leader initially wanted to provide you with an automatically propelled model, but Big Bro Zeke said, 'She isn't truly disabled; if she can strive independently, why deprive her of that right?'" Seele explained cheerfully, tapping the wheelchair armrest, which revealed a cup holder. She placed the drink there, inserted a straw, ensuring it was perfectly positioned for Wendy to sip easily.

The precise angle and the remarkable stability, allowing minimal liquid movement even as the wheelchair moved, forced Wendy to acknowledge that this chair indeed seemed quite exceptional.

Taking a sip of her beverage, Wendy recalled her experiences using the wheelchair—indeed, its handling, propulsion, smooth steering, and various tailored details were remarkably flawless upon closer thought. This was clearly not a generic wheelchair purchased off the market but rather a custom-made one.

"Am I not...a cripple?" Wendy murmured, touching the push bars on either side. A slight tremor stirred within her heart, feeling somewhat peculiar yet not unwelcome.

"Hmph! He's not that kind-hearted; he's just after the Gem of Desire inside my body."

"Nope, Big Bro Zeke is actually really gentle, but he just doesn't express it," Seele countered.

"You're biased—no, wait, it's obvious you have a crush on him. Of course, you'd speak up for him."

Blushing, Seele instinctively covered her face with the tray and shyly replied,

"Aiya, you'll gradually understand as time goes by. Right now, Seele is helping Sister Raven get familiar with the place. Would you like to join us? Alternatively, we could go watch Rozaliya and Liliya's practice session. They aspire to become a top idol duo!"

As Seele spoke, her sparkling eyes conveyed a hint of aspiration.

How wonderful it must be to have dreams and goals, unlike Wendy herself, who merely found contentment in the stability around her. Apart from wanting to see everyone daily and assist them with household chores, she lacked any significant aspirations.

Wendy raised an eyebrow, looking incredulous, and asked,

"Idols? Them?"

"Well, everyone needs dreams. With hard work, Seele believes they can definitely achieve it."

"I think you could definitely become an idol too! With your cute and gentle demeanor, the pure and charming type would suit you perfectly."

"Stop complimenting Seele; she'll get embarrassed..."

As they continued chatting, their figures gradually receded into the distance.

Unbeknownst to Wendy, if one overlooked her status as a captive, just from observing their interaction, she appeared quite relaxed. Her expressions naturally fluctuated between smiles and frowns—far from what one would expect of someone held prisoner.
