Beside, since early morning, Alexis was repeatedly slammed over the phone by Alan and Count Hay, she wasn't willing to listen to a opponent who was on the cusp of defeat!

" Hey, hey. There is no need to be so angry. I am just telling you how it is. Beside, this call is not to demean you or anything." Delphina was serious but in her heart she was happy to see Alexis lose control. If Samuel's plan succeeded she would definitely not have any more chance to get her revenge because they would be in same court. It was all because she was scornful!

" I will give you one chance, Alexis. After three hours, we will meet at the cafe. I know from your large contact you already know which cafe I am talking about. I will be waiting for you, I hope you wouldn't let me down. Of course, I hope you don't regret it later." Delphina only said her mind and without even listening to the other party, she hung up the phone.

It was partially to give some pressure on Alexis and also become more mysterious in her eye. She knew Alexis would think that her plan has been exposed but even through her strong support it was impossible for her to know who Delphina's backer was or why she was suddenly acting so high and mighty.

Everything was calculated, just as they hoped Alexis went into deep thought. Should she go or not? Was it a tactic to scare her because she was almost at the finish line? It could be a way, a last ditch effort from Delphina but from what she knew her enemy wasn't so shameless.

A proud person like Delphina wouldn't resort to such a method of kidnapping or hurting, much less begging for a way out. For whole three minutes her mind thought of all the possibilities along with the content of their conversation.

Alexis wasn't afraid for her life, there were many bodyguards that came with her on this trip but for some reason she was feeling that something was wrong. It's like a early intuition or a gut feeling that she always relied upon in the past.

In the end, she first tried to contact Alan. After calling him three times, no one answered the call. She almost threw her phone for a third time.

" Damn this bastard! Fucking..." She cursed him out again before calming down. It was bad for her health to lose her temper frequently.

After thinking about it for an hour, she finally gritted her teeth and decided to go to the appointment. After all, she wanted to know where did Delphina's courage came from. It was too unexpected and too out of the blue for her. On the other hand, she had to admit she was too disappointed with her rubbish brother.

If there was really a way out of it, that she would definitely consider thinking about it.

She dressed up carefully, after all it was a battlefield of mind. She had to be ready and professional. She also informed her people about the location. It was a little special because Sharon was a noble but it wasn't hard for her bodyguards to have eyes inside the place. She was confident in their abilities!

The driver was already ready, she hopped into the car and made her way to the cafe. It was fairly early in the morning so it shouldn't be too crowded beside there were private boxes for VIP customers. This cafe didn't belong with cheap coffee chains, it was a exclusive place for not so ordinary people.

She made her way inside of it, just crossing the door she took few deep breaths calming herself down. There was no need for her to be so nervous after all she had the upper hand.

" Welcome, may I ask how many-" The waiter immediately came to greet her but before he could finish Alexis reported," Delphina, take me to see her. She reserved a spot here." She gave out the name.

"Miss Alexis?" The waiter immediately straighten up to be more respectful. Delphina was someone that was greatly valued by their boss, a friend of a friend is still a friend!

" Yes." She nodded lightly. The waiter immediately guided her to the private box. After knocking on the door and getting permission to enter, she led the guest inside. He immediately went out only informing that they could call him if they need anything.

When Alexis walked in, she saw that only Delphina was waiting inside for her. She half expected her to be with someone or else how could she become so bold overnight? They met few days ago at that time, she was still struggling and fighting back!

" Come, you have chosen correctly. Please sit down first and chose something to drink." Delphina acted smugly like she knew everything. She didn't even get up to receive the party, it's like she was trying to control the rhythm of the meeting.

These tricks might work on other people but Alexis was different. She didn't mind playing along hoping to get more information out of Delphina.

" A cup of black tea." She ordered which was conveyed to the waiter outside.

" Alright, I am here. What is this about? Why do you want me to come here?" Alexis leaned back and asked casually.

" There is no need to hurry. There are still people who haven't arrived." Delphina smiled slightly not minding Alexis' attitude. She stopped talking enjoying her tea slowing sipping away without caring for Alexis' gaze.

Alexis kept watching her moment before her cup came. It was fragrant and appealing but she didn't have heart to drink right now. She was feeling conflicted hoping that Delphina would end this farce any moment now.

But she kept waiting and waiting, it's been twenty minutes before they said anything to each other. It's like two stone figures casually looking around only one who is absent minded while the other kept glaring at the first party!

It was a competition of patience, no one wanted to be the first to ask but Alexis' was losing her mind. She couldn't help but speak first.

" Miss Delphina, there is no need to be so mysterious. Just say it, my time is also precious."

" Good, you persisted for twenty minutes. No wonder you can play with my ineffective brother. It's a pity." Her tone was still casual.
