Chapter 364: Akina Nakamori

[Chapter 364: Akina Nakamori]

Just as the New York Times and the Douglas family were caught in turmoil, Linton's Mission: Impossible crew also kicked into gear. This time, he hired two assistant directors: Anna Slater and Phil Dulin.

Both were alumni of the University of Southern California's School of Cinematic Arts. They had solid directing skills and had been working in music video and commercial direction for years, frustrated at their lack of opportunities to break into the big screen.

After passing Linton's interview, they were naturally ecstatic to become his assistant directors. On the path to stardom, they both resolved to seize the opportunity with all their might.

Under Linton's guidance, they threw themselves wholeheartedly into the film's preparation.

---

On March 23, Akina Nakamori arrived in Los Angeles, accompanied by Izumi Sakai.

Since Akina's commitment was still uncertain, Linton didn't have Izumi take her straight to the estate. Instead, he booked the presidential suite at the Hilton Hotel to welcome them.

Linton had expected some awkwardness after over a year apart, but as soon as Akina and Izumi entered the room, Akina burst into his arms with overwhelming emotion -- it even left Izumi trailing behind. "Linton, I've missed you so much."

Holding her soft and beautiful figure, taking in her slightly slender yet still pure face, Linton hadn't even managed a word before Akina pressed a sweet kiss on his lips.

Forget words -- they resorted to action, and Linton eagerly returned her passionate kiss.

Maybe it was the long time apart or Akina's legendary passionate nature, but she soon got lost in his embrace. "Linton, love me...."

Soon, sounds of intense passion mixed with the tone of joyous singing filled the room.

---

After a satisfying round of romantic play, Akina and Izumi lay on Linton's sides, soft and relaxed.

Looking at Akina's face, glowing with a happy smile in his arms, even someone as unscrupulous as Linton felt his heart soften.

Akina's charm was undeniable. In Japan, she was revered with titles like the "Showa Goddess" and "Original Diva," honors even among generations of stars.

During their recent passionate encounter, Linton clearly felt her immense popularity rivaled Izumi's. With the bonus of Hollywood halo in the past two years, Izumi Sakai had become the top singer in Japan and even Asia. This shows Akina Nakamori's formidable talent and huge fanbase across Asia.

What surprised him even more was that despite only having a brief few days of soul-deep connection a year ago, he had nearly forgotten her. Yet she was unwaveringly devoted to him, even taking the bold step to come to Los Angeles with Izumi to find him.

He thought back to Akina's past life, where her obsessive love and dreamy devotion led her to suffer terribly at the hands of a notorious bad boy, Masahiko Kondo. She sacrificed everything to please him but was repeatedly deceived and toyed with, enduring heartbreak so intense it broke hearts worldwide. In the end, she was left utterly lonely and desolate.

Could it be that meeting Linton this life had spared her from falling for a bastard like Kondo? But she had instead poured her obsessive love onto him. If so, then maybe Linton had truly done a good thing.

Though he wasn't perfect himself, Linton was honest about his faults: except marriage, he could give her anything without hiding -- certainly nothing like the endless harm Kondo inflicted.

Thinking this through, Linton gently tightened his right arm around her. "Akina, are you sure about this?"

"Darling, I'm sure. I just like you."

"Why? We only dated for a few days before."

"I don't know. But I like you. Every day for over a year, I've been thinking about you. I tried to forget, but I just couldn't."

"Do you know my situation?"

"I do. You already have Izumi and Noriko Sakai, and the papers often mention your Hollywood celebrity friends. But I don't care -- as long as you love me."

"Haven't Izumi told you everything?"

"She hasn't said it all, but I can guess."

"Alright, I'll be straightforward. If you can accept it, we keep going. If not, we can part amicably, okay?"

"You say it -- I'm ready."

"I don't have a few women -- I have nineteen. Including you, that's twenty. And I'm not getting married."

"My God, nineteen girlfriends? How can you keep up?" Akina was stunned despite her mental preparation.

"Don't worry about my health. I'm sure you noticed earlier. Izumi can vouch for me."

"Akina, I guarantee Linton's body is the finest in the world," Izumi chimed in supportively.

"Can you still accept that?" Linton kissed Izumi lightly before turning back to Akina.

"I... you are so flighty, I want to say no, but I just can't leave you. What can I do?"

It was clear she was totally love-struck. Others followed Linton because of the supernatural benefits of his "essence" and career boost, but she hadn't enjoyed any of that -- just a few days of soul connection, and now she was hopelessly in love. That was what obsessive love looked like.

On the other hand, that kind of devotion might be precious to Linton, making it worth cherishing.

"If you can't leave, then don't go anywhere from now on." Feeling reassured, Linton kissed her again and pulled her closer, his hands beginning to explore.

"Promise me, darling, you'll love me forever." Akina responded passionately.

Joyful singing filled the air again.

Another sleepless night ensued.

---

The next morning, Linton brought Akina and Izumi back to the estate, arranging all their perks -- rooms, bodyguards, cars, even home-buying benefits. He specially inquired about Akina's favorite pendant design and introduced her to the housekeeper, Amy.

As for the rest of the harem, they were busy outside preparing for the upcoming Oscars -- fittings for gowns, jewelry, shoes, and bags with designers and sponsors.

Since it was Akina's first time at the estate, Linton took the day off to spend quality time with both of them.

After sharing another memorable passionate experience, Linton gave Izumi the song The Day You Went Away. Then he handed Akina the script of Scream and advised her to contact Universal Music back in Japan to transfer her recording contract as soon as possible to prepare for her launch into the western music scene.

---

What had happened today felt like a dream to Akina -- the nourishing essence, the perks, the Hollywood film connections, and the hope of conquering the Western music market.

It completely turned her world upside down -- being Linton's woman brought so many benefits.

No wonder Izumi and Noriko Sakai had changed so much; no wonder so many Hollywood actresses circled around Linton.

If only she had known all these perks earlier, she might have thrown caution to the wind and chased him to Los Angeles long ago.

But now it wasn't too late. This only strengthened her belief that Linton was her destined one.

---

By evening, when stars like Madonna, Nicole Kidman, and Sophie Marceau returned to the estate, Akina smoothly integrated into the harem family.

With a new addition, the night's party and the skits became even more exciting...
