Chapter 41: Chapter 41: The Pillars Are Still Alive
"Sasuke's photo?"
Haruno Sakura's initial reaction was skepticism, but then she shook her head resolutely. "No, I wouldn't buy it," she said confidently. But after a slight pause, she added with a coy smile, "But if it were you, Naruto, I'd buy it."
Naruto's expression froze.
"Good grief," he thought. "Where did Sakura pick up this knack for turning everything back on me?"
Naruto took a deep breath, trying to remain calm. "That's not the point," he said firmly. "Think back to two years ago when you were completely infatuated with Sasuke."
Sakura immediately bristled at the insinuation. "Infatuated? Me? With Sasuke? Naruto, you're slandering me!" she declared indignantly.
Naruto rolled his eyes. "Sure, let's call it that."
Sakura pouted, refusing to admit her past obsession. But Naruto pressed on, "Now, seriously, if we were still in that time, how much would you have been willing to pay for one of his photos?"
Reluctantly, Sakura muttered, "Maybe... my entire allowance..."
Naruto smirked knowingly. "Exactly."
Sakura hesitated, still unsure where Naruto was going with this. "But how does this relate to making money?"
Naruto's grin widened. "Simple. We turn Sasuke into a star, an idol that everyone adores."
Sakura's eyes widened as realization dawned on her. "You mean, like Fujikaze Yukie? The actress from those movies?"
"Exactly," Naruto replied. "But not quite at her level. Just enough to rake in some silver taels."
Sakura blinked, then frowned. "But would Sasuke even agree to this? He's not exactly the cooperative type."
Naruto shrugged nonchalantly. "He doesn't have to agree. He's already taken photos before. We just need to get our hands on them."
Sakura bit her lip. "You mean the ones he took in exchange for your training advice?"
Naruto nodded. "Precisely."
"But isn't it kind of... underhanded to use Sasuke's desire for strength against him?" Sakura asked hesitantly.
Naruto raised an eyebrow. "Underhanded? Sakura, this is the ninja world. People sacrifice a lot more than just photos for strength."
Sakura sighed, realizing Naruto had a point. Though it still felt morally ambiguous to her, she decided to trust his judgment.
"Alright, I'll do whatever you ask," Sakura said resolutely.
Naruto gave her a nod of approval. "Good. Here's the plan. You'll handle finding the customers and drumming up demand. I'll take care of the supply."
He paused for emphasis. "Together, we'll create a business empire so successful that we'll celebrate with a grand wedding."
Sakura's heart skipped a beat. "A wedding?" she repeated, her mind spiraling into a daydream.
By the time she snapped out of it, Naruto had already disappeared, likely off to find Sasuke.
Sakura sighed wistfully. "Naruto-kun, you always keep me guessing..."
---
Meanwhile, at the Uchiha compound, Sasuke was fast asleep after a restless night of staking out Naruto. He hadn't expected Naruto to do nothing but read Jiraiya's questionable books and go to bed without training.
Now, he was abruptly woken by Naruto's loud voice echoing through the streets.
"SASUKEEEE!"
Groggily, Sasuke stumbled out of bed and headed outside, scowling. "Naruto? What are you doing here?"
Naruto grinned when he spotted Sasuke. "There you are, Sasuke! Just the person I was looking for."
Sasuke raised an eyebrow, still half-asleep. "What could you possibly want at this hour?"
Naruto's grin grew wider. "Oh, just a little project I'm working on. You'll love it, trust me."
Sasuke's suspicion deepened. "If this is about some ridiculous scheme—"
"It's not ridiculous!" Naruto interrupted. "Think of it as... a way for you to get stronger."
That caught Sasuke's attention. "Stronger? How?"
Naruto leaned in conspiratorially. "It's simple. All you have to do is let me borrow some of those photos you took a while back."
Sasuke frowned. "Photos? What photos?"
"You know, the ones you gave me when you wanted training advice."
Sasuke's scowl deepened. "And what do you need those for?"
Naruto crossed his arms and smirked. "Let's just say it's part of a business venture that benefits us both."
Sasuke sighed, already regretting agreeing to any of Naruto's ideas. But curiosity—and the promise of strength—kept him from outright refusing.
---
Back with Sakura, she was busy brainstorming ways to market Sasuke's photos. She couldn't help but feel a mix of excitement and guilt.
"Is this really okay?" she muttered to herself.
But then she remembered Naruto's confidence and felt reassured. "If Naruto believes in this, then so do I."
She began making a list of potential customers, starting with their classmates.
"This could actually work," she thought, a smile forming on her lips.
Little did she know, Naruto and Sasuke were already setting the wheels of the plan in motion.
---
By the end of the day, everything was in place. Sakura had rallied a group of eager buyers, and Naruto had secured the supply.
As they stood together, surveying their first batch of sales, Naruto couldn't help but laugh.
"See, Sakura? I told you this would work."
Sakura beamed. "You were right, Naruto-kun. This is just the beginning!"
And with that, the unlikely duo embarked on their journey to build a business empire—one photo at a time.
