Chapter 58: Chapter 58 - Cleaning up the Battlefield
Watching as William fell to the ground before him as his skin began to melt away. Felix stood frozen for what felt like forever, before his rage exploded. His eyes began to glow brightly as above the red hue, a blue pattern appeared above it.
The pattern was of a blue pentagram with strange symbols. In an eerie movement, Felix raised his hands to his eyes for a moment before lowering them. As if imprinted on his hands, the symbols on his eyes appeared on his hands.
"What is going on?" A group of Death Eaters who just arrived asked.
"First comes destruction, I bring nothing, bless nothing, save nothing, I just…erase…completely." Felix's voice echoed around. "Shatter."
Under Voldemort and other eyes, they watched as their first batch of reinforcements vanished before them. It looked like they were blasted away and dispersed like sand. Only their feet and parts of their legs were left until they vanished too. Only blood which fueled the Voldemort cause was left mixing into the dirt below.
"Monster!"
"Run!"
At this moment Voldemort and the Death Eaters who were coming realized the situation became very dire for them. They have never seen this type of magic before as they watched as the teen they are trying to kill suddenly began movings.
"I can't use Apparition." A death eater informed everyone.
Suddenly a giant circle much like Felix's eyes appeared above everyone. This frightens everyone immensely that even Voldemort felt scared. It had brought back his fear that he had forgotten so long ago that he thought he had beaten it. The feeling of death was coming rippled across his skin as his eyes widened in horror.
Then under their horror, a group of death eaters' heads vanished as their lifeless bodies fell to the ground. Which was soon followed by Felix seemingly warping around them all. Everywhere he went, only death followed with incomplete bodies.
As more and more death eaters arrived to answer the call of their master. They quickly realized that the entrance was like a one way trip. While they could all pop in easily, they couldn't when trying to run away.
"Devil!"
A death eater screamed as he tried to run on his legs. Due to his shouts, it drew Felix attention as like a silent being, he appeared before the man. The pentagram on his palm glowing brightly appeared before the man's eye before the man vanished from the world. Only blood remained behind.
--
At the Ministry where they were fighting with the Death Eaters who appeared. Many began to notice that their opponents were rapidly dwindling. It wasn't natural as many clenched their arms and began to leave in groups.
"What is going on?" Millicent Bagnold asked.
She held a wand in one hand as her brown hair was messy from the recent battle. The only reason she is taking part is to boost her own reputation. In a few years when the current Minister of Magic will retire, she can take a chance to take his place.
"It would appear they are being called away urgently." Dumbledore lightly pulled his beard. "For why, I do not know yet."
"Albus, there is a giant fluctuation at Grindelwald kid house." Alastor Moody walked in from another part of the ministry.
"What happened?" Albus Dumbledore asked hurriedly.
"Don't know. Just the Trace is going crazy in that area." Alastor Moody replied.
--
"What happened here?"
When Dumbledore appeared alongside a team of Aurors. This is the thought that ran through their minds. For the ground is dyed red and corpses seem to fill the yard. So keeping their wands close, they moved forward very slowly to investigate.
When they approached the house, they could hear the sound of crying as they found Felix covered in blood as he kneeled before William. While he managed to stop the curse, William had already lost most of his skin. So the horrific sight was even more terrifying in the moonlight.
"I'm sorry." Felix seems to repeat.
"Felix…it's not…your…fault." William said very slowly. "Bad people…will do…bad things. Just promise…me something."
"What?" Felix asked, trying to wipe his tears.
"No matter…how dark…things feel…or get…just try to…see the good... in life." William got out. "So…don't dwell…on the bad…memories…for you…will miss…the bright…future."
Felix nodded as William laid before him, his chest rising and falling. The sight hurt Felix since he couldn't imagine the amount of pain William is in.
Then he saw Dumbledore arriving and placed a hand on his shoulder. So grabbing hold of the man's colorful robe. Felix finally broke down completely as the fight this night ended.
