Chapter 1: Leaky Cauldron Binding tag System

London, Charing Cross Road.

Between a large bookstore and a record store.

The Leaky Cauldron.

From the outside, the bar isn't noticeable at all.

It's so easy for passersby to overlook it.

Its appearance gives off an ancient, slightly dilapidated vibe.

As if time had come to a halt here.

At this moment,

Inside a single room,

A golden-haired boy is busily running around.

He's organizing all sorts of bizarre items.

Various bottles and jars,

Filled with colorful powders, liquids, and some plants' roots and stems that are hard to identify.

Apart from these ingredients, he's also tidying up a set of delicate but somewhat outdated tools.

On the desk are several thick books, with leather covers.

The boy gently closes the books,

Arranges them alphabetically, and

Puts them into a suitcase in the corresponding spots.

"Sigh, Merlin's beard, I still have to go to school!"

DeViro sighs in frustration.

It's been a year since he came to this world.

Learning potions from such an eccentric teacher,

He's already feeling quite tortured.

The happiest time of his day is when his teacher goes to school to teach.

Who knew he still had to go to school, and to the same school as his teacher?

Even though it's Hogwarts,

It still feels a bit uncomfortable.

DeViro wasn't originally from this world.

A year ago, he transmigrated here.

It's more like a soul transfer.

He came into the body of a young boy.

Looks like he's a half-blood, Chinese and European mix.

Although he has golden hair,

His eyes are deep brown, with clear Asian features.

As for why he transmigrated here,

Don't ask!

It's a long story!

When he woke up,

The first thing he saw was a disheveled old man,

A gloomy-faced old bat, lifting him out of bed with one hand.

If he had to describe his first impression of his master,

It would definitely be that of an absolute old virgin.

The guy is so violent, it's definitely repressed sexuality.

Rubbing his hand, which had been hit for oversleeping,

He learned that his master had given him a long list of tasks and then disappeared in an instant.

That's when DeViro realized he had transmigrated.

Into a magical world.

And had become an apprentice of a potion master.

He had also somehow learned English, which he couldn't get into before.

On that day, DeViro searched through his living space.

And found out that his teacher was none other than Professor Snape from the Harry Potter world!

This news made DeViro feel both happy and scared.

The happy part was that he had come to the magical world he had always dreamed of.

The scared part was that he had ended up with such a teacher.

Though Snape is a hero in the original story,

For students, he's undoubtedly a nightmare.

Later experiences proved this thought.

Snape is extremely strict.

When DeViro first arrived,

His memory wasn't fully recovered yet.

So many of Snape's instructions weren't done well.

And the punishments...

Even now, just recalling them makes him uncomfortable.

Luckily, DeViro has now mastered most of the skills needed for potion-making.

He no longer makes mistakes and rarely gets on Snape's bad side.

But being around that old bat still feels uncomfortable.

That's why he's so reluctant to go to Hogwarts.

Being constantly watched by that old bat...

It's really unbearable!

As for why DeViro is apprenticing under Snape,

It seems like his mother entrusted him to Snape,

And then disappeared without a trace.

DeViro had thought about asking Snape about his family,

But every time he brought up the topic,

Snape would immediately start picking on him.

Making DeViro too scared to ask anything.

Of course, DeViro didn't do nothing.

When he first arrived, he confirmed that he was in the same year as Harry and the others.

So he entered the plot as soon as he enrolled.

Sigh, but right now, working as Snape's apprentice...

He's probably not going to have an easy time at Hogwarts either.

Whether he'll even get a chance to participate in the familiar plot, who knows?

At the moment, the magical talent of this body is quite decent.

Although Snape hasn't taught DeViro any spells,

He's had a good sense for the magical materials while making potions.

That's why he's able to get a grip on potion-making so quickly.

And he's not bad-looking either.

At least much better than his previous self.

That's one of the few comforts in this grim situation.

Having finished organizing everything,

DeViro decided to head downstairs.

Today, he and Snape were supposed to go to Diagon Alley to purchase the required materials and books for school.

Yesterday, something happened unexpectedly.

Snape suddenly took DeViro to the Leaky Cauldron in advance,

And let him stay the night.

He said they'd go shopping the next day.

And here they are.

Carrying a suitcase that's about two-thirds of his size,

DeViro walks downstairs.

Inside the Leaky Cauldron,

The owner, Tom, is busy preparing for the day's business.

As the faint sound of footsteps comes down from the stairs,

Tom looks up.

It's DeViro.

His golden hair glistens in the morning light.

"Good morning, Mr. DeViro!"

Tom greets him.

"Did you sleep well?"

DeViro smiles slightly.

Although he seems a little nervous,

He still politely nods.

"Good morning, Mr. Tom. Thank you for your hospitality. I slept well last night."

Tom notices the large suitcase in DeViro's hand.

He smiles.

"It seems like you've brought a lot of things! When Professor Snape arranged for you to stay here yesterday, he didn't tell me much. But he did say he'd come today to take you shopping for some supplies."

DeViro nods.

Relaxing a little.

"Yes, Professor Snape said he'd take me to Diagon Alley. It's my first time going there, I'm a bit nervous…"

Actually, he's nervous about meeting Snape.

"Don't worry,"

Tom smiles reassuringly.

As if he's quite fond of this charming young boy.

So different from Snape.

"Diagon Alley is a wonderful place, you'll enjoy it. And with Professor Snape with you, everything will go smoothly."

He pauses, then continues,

"But before you leave, would you like some breakfast? I can prepare some freshly baked bread and hot tea for you."

Upon hearing this,

DeViro's eyes brighten.

Clearly attracted by the offer.

"That sounds great, thank you, Mr. Tom."

Watching Tom head into the kitchen,

DeViro can't help but feel that being a child has its perks.

You get taken care of wherever you go.

Though he wonders if Snape told him to do this.

But thinking about it,

He's pretty sure the old bat wouldn't do something like that.

While waiting for breakfast,

Click!

DeViro's hairs stand on end.

That familiar feeling...

He turns around.

A tall, pale, black-robed wizard stands at the door of the Leaky Cauldron.

It's Snape.

The nightmare of the past year.

He raises his hand slightly, signaling Snape to look over.

To be honest, DeViro really doesn't want to do this.

A moment later, Snape walks over.

His greasy, messy hair falls across his forehead and cheeks, covering part of his face, giving him a shadowy appearance.

"DeViro, let's go. We have a long list of things to buy today."

DeViro nods slightly.

Getting up, he's about to grab his suitcase and leave with Snape.

At that moment,

Tom comes over with two servings of breakfast.

He places them on the table.

"Professor Snape, have some breakfast first. I've prepared a portion for you too."

DeViro eyes the breakfast longingly.

But he knows Snape's not that kind of person.

Ready to leave,

"Fine, let's eat quickly."

DeViro is stunned.

Snape actually sits down and begins to eat breakfast.

After a moment of surprise,

DeViro thinks maybe Snape is in a good mood.

He quickly sits down and starts eating.

At that moment, Snape suddenly pulls out a letter from nowhere and hands it to DeViro.

DeViro is initially puzzled.

But when he looks closely,

It's a Hogwarts acceptance letter!

The moment he sees it,

DeViro quickly grabs the envelope.

Though he's not as excited as he might have been before, because of Snape,

It still feels thrilling to get the acceptance letter he once fantasized about.

Just as DeViro opens the letter,

[Ding!]

[Detected eligible host, the Entry System is binding.]

[Binding successful!]

What's going on!?

Before DeViro can react,

Another voice echoes.
