Hiruzen persuaded me to die

Chapter 168: Chapter 166: Kaguya’s Journey

Passive pregnancy and childbirth are very different from active Yin-Yang Release.

The latter can be actively controlled!

Specifically, by using Yin-Yang Release to create life or objects, one can autonomously determine their properties.

In this case, perhaps the difference between the Sage of Six Paths' two sons can be better understood.

"The legendary Rinnegan of the Sage of Six Paths—was it something he was born with, or did it awaken later?"Hyuga Naraku asked.

"Hagoromo Ōtsutsuki told me that he awakened the Rinnegan only after being forced to kill his brother.""At that time, his brother, Hamura, had been controlled by Kaguya, so Hagoromo had to fight him with all his might.""But later, Hamura was rescued from the brink of death by the Toad Sage's talisman from Mount Myōboku,"Katsuyu explained, tapping its tentacles lightly.

"In other words, the two sons of Kaguya weren't born with overwhelming power.""It's just that their talent was higher than anyone else in shinobi history."Naraku spoke while deep in thought.

When Kaguya created Hagoromo, she infused part of the properties of the Ten-Tails' Rinne Sharingan into him.

Hence, Hagoromo was later able to awaken the Rinnegan.

As for Hamura, also created by Kaguya via Yin-Yang Release, he only inherited the Byakugan.

But what was Kaguya's purpose?

"After consuming the fruit of the God Tree, Kaguya quelled the war.""She was even revered as the Rabbit Goddess at one point.""However, later she launched the Infinite Tsukuyomi.""And created two sons—Hagoromo and Hamura."Naraku said slowly.

During this time, Kaguya's mindset seems to have changed.

"According to Hagoromo, Kaguya seemed to be afraid of something.""Because of that fear, she started creating soldiers like White Zetsu."Katsuyu said with some confusion.

It couldn't understand.

Kaguya was strong enough to suspend the entire shinobi world on a tree—what could she possibly fear?

"I can't figure out Kaguya's mental journey through this process,"Naraku said, shaking his head.

The one Kaguya feared was, of course, the Ōtsutsuki trio—

Momoshiki Ōtsutsuki, Kinshiki Ōtsutsuki, and Urashiki Ōtsutsuki.

Since she never returned the chakra fruit, the Ōtsutsuki clan would undoubtedly send someone to investigate.

But still...

Why did Kaguya bother to quell wars in the first place?

Was it genuine kindness, or something else?

Naraku didn't believe Kaguya was someone who truly yearned for peace.

In other words, there are no good people in the Ōtsutsuki clan.

Even though Naraku has a pseudo-Six Paths-level power, he still considers himself human.

And as a human, he won't kill without reason.

But the Ōtsutsuki view themselves as gods.

They treat humans like livestock.

To Kaguya, the people of the shinobi world were nothing more than raw material for White Zetsu.

The shinobi world was merely her nursery.

Yet, once upon a time, Kaguya had stopped the wars of the shinobi world.

The legend of the Rabbit Goddess still circulates in the ninja world.

Let's assume—

Kaguya was once "kind" after eating the chakra fruit.

And then, due to fear of the Ōtsutsuki trio, turned "evil."

That just doesn't add up.

Someone capable of ending war for peace doesn't suddenly destroy the world out of fear.

Even if Naraku asked Might Guy, he wouldn't believe such a drastic shift.

It's a complete 180-degree reversal.

Not just the humans—but cats, dogs, every living being—were sacrificed for the Infinite Tsukuyomi.

Uchiha Madara and Uchiha Obito at least believed they were achieving peace.

Kaguya? She did it purely for herself.

"The assumption doesn't hold."

Naraku concluded firmly.

Kaguya, who had lived for thousands of years before eating the chakra fruit, can't be judged by human morality.

Her decision to quell war wasn't out of compassion or peace.

Suddenly, Naraku had a strange thought.

Kaguya was like a servant, long oppressed, who stole her master's treasure and ran off to flaunt it.

And when she found out the master was coming after her—she panicked.

Frantically, she tried to gather manpower to protect herself.

Even going as far as to create her own children as soldiers.

Kaguya's mental state may have resembled this.

Within the Ōtsutsuki clan, Kaguya likely held no high status.

Isshiki Ōtsutsuki intended to use her as a sacrifice for the Ten Tails.

Momoshiki openly called her the "disgrace of the clan."

Urashiki was slightly more polite—just referring to her as a traitor.

A Kaguya in such a position gave in to temptation and consumed the chakra fruit.

The fruit produced on Earth was unusually powerful.

Kaguya ascended immediately to the level of a god.

With that power, she easily suppressed the wars plaguing the shinobi world at the time.

And as people began worshipping her, it went to her head.

She started believing she really was the Rabbit Goddess.

But deep down, she knew the Ōtsutsuki clan would never forgive her betrayal.

So she panicked.

Even with her new godlike power—fear crept in.

She reverted to her old mentality—now fueled by terror.

So, she did everything she could to protect herself.

She created the Six Paths brothers to act as her support.

She mass-produced White Zetsu.

Such desperate behavior was the product of pure panic—not logic or strategy.

"After all, she's not human,"Naraku muttered inwardly.

Whether his analysis was accurate or not...

One thing was certain—Kaguya launched Infinite Tsukuyomi to create White Zetsu.

On that alone, she had become an enemy of the entire shinobi world.

The Ōtsutsuki trio were still en route.

The Ōtsutsuki threat had already infiltrated the world.

And Kaguya remained an enemy—just one still floating in the sky, waiting.

Luckily, Hagoromo was raised in the shinobi world.

His moral compass aligned more with humanity than his alien bloodline.

If Hagoromo and Hamura hadn't sealed Kaguya, the shinobi world would have been dead long ago.

Its natural energy would've been consumed by the God Tree.

Earth would've become just another dead star in the silent universe.

Say what you will about Hagoromo...

But on this, his contribution is undeniable.

"I've thought enough about this,"Naraku muttered, shaking his head.

"It's time to start learning Sage Mode."

He looked forward to Sage Techniques.

Not just to prepare against Black Zetsu...

But because of its incredible potential ceiling.

After all, the Sage of Six Paths was able to fight Kaguya for months—

Who's to say how much of that was due to Sage Mode?
