Uchiha Obito was on the verge of cursing.

He came here just to capture a five-year-old Jinchūriki.

In an instant, a fully formed Susanoo wrapped in fog-like armor appeared before the stunned eyes of the shinobi.

"Wh-What is that?!"the Fourth Kazekage gasped.

The towering, misty-blue figure had already surpassed the size of Shukaku!

"That's a third-form Susanoo — and it's fully stabilized!"Black Zetsu sounded surprised.

Susanoo had several stages:— The skeletal form was first.— The muscular, skinned form came next.— And then, the third: the armored tengu-like giant.

That final form boosted both offense and defense tremendously.

According to Uchiha Madara's research, ordinary Mangekyō Sharingan could only reach this form with extreme instability, and for very short periods.

But Obito…

His Susanoo showed no instability at all — it stood solid and unwavering.

"Impressive. He really is worthy of being Madara's heir,"White Zetsu muttered in admiration.

Obito's Mangekyō Sharingan was clearly far more powerful than most others.

"The One-Tail is nothing,"Obito scoffed.

His Susanoo's hands raised twin chakra blades, slicing down golden sand from Shukaku's body with ease.

"That's… Susanoo?!"

Even Shukaku's massive brass eyes trembled.

As a centuries-old Tailed Beast, it had seen Uchiha power before.

It knew what was coming.

"You bastard, don't underestimate Sunagakure!"Rasa barked, forming hand seals with a cold expression."Magnet Style: Gold Dust Imperial Funeral!"

The skies above Sunagakure filled with deadly golden spears, rushing toward both Susanoo and Shukaku.

"Pathetic,"Obito sneered as he watched them strike harmlessly against Susanoo's armor.

But then—

A massive tail suddenly slammed into Susanoo.

Shukaku attacked.

Compared to the Kazekage's Gold Dust, what Shukaku feared far more… was the Sharingan.

Gold Dust could restrain its body.

But Sharingan?

It could enslave his mind.

"You overgrown tanuki think you can resist me?"

Obito's Mangekyō spun sharply — a three-bladed shuriken.

"No! Not the Sharingan again!"Shukaku screamed.

But it was already too late.

Obito's Mangekyō glowed ominously, pouring pupil power into the Tailed Beast.

Shukaku's resistance crumbled like a sandcastle before a wave.

Its eyes — formerly bright brass — now gleamed with the red and black pattern of the Sharingan.

"Tch. It's way easier than controlling the Nine-Tails,"Obito laughed.

During the Nine-Tails' attack on Konoha, Obito had controlled Kurama with just a single Mangekyō eye and Madara's summoning contract.

Now, with both Mangekyō eyes and facing a much weaker beast?

It was laughably easy.

"Let's recreate it,"he muttered darkly."Let Sand know the same pain Konoha felt that night."

Controlled by Obito, Shukaku went on a rampage.

Buildings crumbled like clay before its overwhelming might.

"That's… the Sharingan,"Rasa whispered in horror.

He had only heard rumors that the Uchiha clan could control Tailed Beasts.

This was his first time seeing it with his own eyes.

"You're the one behind the Nine-Tails' rampage in Konoha!""You killed the Fourth Hokage!"Rasa shouted.

Before Obito could even answer, Rasa moved.

"We can't let Shukaku continue this destruction!""Magnet Style: Gold Dust Cube!"

A massive cube of compressed golden sand formed above, hurtling toward the rampaging Tailed Beast.

But—

Obito's Susanoo stepped between them.

"Your opponent… is me."

With a cold tone, Obito's Susanoo raised its massive sword and cleaved the golden cube in two.

Without hesitation, Susanoo pressed forward, slicing toward the Kazekage.

Slash!

The golden sand trembled under the chakra blade, slowing it momentarily — but not for long.

Rasa leapt back just in time.

Even so, the sand that had tried to block the strike was cleaved clean through.

"Damn it!"Rasa hissed.

"Baki! Go summon Elder Chiyo and Elder Ebizō — now!"

Sunagakure had only one reliable countermeasure against Shukaku — his Magnet Style.

But to fight both Obito and Shukaku at once?

He needed help.

"Yes!"Baki nodded and sprinted toward the village center.

"Anbu — evacuate the civilians! Prioritize the residential zones!"

Rasa gritted his teeth.

This must be how Minato felt on that night — helpless as a monster razed their village.

Gaara's assassination was meant only to test the seal, not break it.

Who would have thought that this masked man had been waiting for that very opportunity?

"How sad. Why do the weak always struggle so hard?"

Obito chuckled as he watched the chaos unfold.

"Just hand over the One-Tail, and yourself, Kazekage. There's no need for all this."

Pakura had escaped, yes.

But taking Rasa — a Magnet Release user — back to Shinnō would be just as valuable.

"Keep dreaming!"Rasa snapped, face darkening.

Not only did they want to steal their Tailed Beast — they wanted to kidnap the Kazekage?

"I am Sunagakure's Kazekage!"

"You are just one man! You cannot defeat an entire village!"

"Kazekage?"Obito scoffed."Konoha's Fourth Hokage died at my hands.""Even Konoha's Fifth Hokage — Hyuga Naraku — is useless against me!"

"Is that so?"

A calm, teasing voice echoed from above.

Descending from the sky, Naraku landed with ease — Pakura at his side.
