Chapter 10: Chapter 10: After the Rating Game
[3rd POV]
Looking at Reina with an amused expression on her face, Morgan began.
"I'm sure you've got a lot of worries, and even more questions about how this is going to go, right?" Morgan began, as Reina slowly nodded.
"Good, I'll be sure to answer all the questions I can. But after I'm done explaining your new duties, and what I expect of you, as members of my second peerage and my servants" Morgan watched their expressions closely before continuing.
"You'll continue your duties as maids, but will now be receiving a proper wage befitting your station. You will be given your own rooms, clothes, off time, and everything needed to enjoy your life a bit more than whatever Sebastian had you under. In return, you will, as said before, continue working as maids. But I also expect you to undergo the training the rest of my primary peerage undergoes, including physical and mental methods, and learning everything required to be proper members of my household" Morgan said, as Reina looked at her in confusion.
"A...wage? We are your servants, Master, we do not need wages"
"And yet you will receive them. You are not only my servants, but members of my household, making you members of my beloved family, just as my primary peerage is. And you deserve to properly be paid for what it is you do as maids. I am not Sebastian Valac, Reina, and I will NOT be treating you how that man did" Morgan replied.
She had the man's knowledge, which had shown her how awful he was. He was not only abusive to the servants, treating them like slaves (which according to Devil law, they basically were), but he was also...forceful on them, primarily the weaker members of the peerage. He never went all the way or anything, knowing that Reina would gut him if he tried, but it was still disgusting, and something Morgan would never do.
And from what she could tell, it all stemmed from an interaction he had years ago with Grayfia Lucifuge, the strongest Queen. He had fallen completely in love with the woman, and was completely obsessed with her, to the point that he had an entire "Worship" area for her, including a pair of her panties that he managed to snag when visiting the Gremory mansion during some ball. Basically, the guy was a freak, and it was good that he was dead.
"...And what will you have me do? I'm no mere maid, no offense" Reina spoke, glancing at her fellow peerage members who stood behind her. The group of maids didn't take offense, and instead quietly listened as their new master replied.
"Well besides training? I'd have you help train my peerage and myself. We are strong, but...we have little mentorship in actual training, and Lint could use some genuine teachings from an experienced Swordsman" Morgan responded.
The group had...little experience in regards to proper training under someone. Lint was a skilled swordswoman thanks to the training from the Church, but it was a limited amount, and training from someone who has been training for as long as Reina has been, would prove to be incredibly helpful in the future.
"What sort of training do you require? I am primarily a Swordsman, master, and I have little skill in anything other than being a maid or the art of the blade" Reina asked, as Morgan smiled.
"Not much else, not yet anyways. And that training will mostly be for Lint and any future Knights I gain, should they not be up to a certain level I expect. Lint is already quite skilled, but I think it'd be good to have someone with more experience showing her the ropes" Morgan responded after a few moments of thought.
Now that she had the evil pieces of Sebastian, she was confident in getting herself more bishops, knights, and rooks than what should be possible. Why? Because all of those remaining pieces had undergone a mutation after she had taken them from Sebastian. This gave her even more pieces to recruit more, and a new method in gaining more slots for sacred gears, items, traits, and more.
"That-that's it?" Reina asked in surprise. She had expected something...more. She had been used to strict and horrible rules, tasks, and all sorts of other things under Sebastian, that she didn't expect it to be so...little.
"Yep, like I said Reina, I am not Sebastian Valac, and I will not treat you the same way, nor will I expect the same things" Morgan replied with a soft smile as Reina breathed out an almost relieved breath.
Looking over her new peerage members, Morgan grinned before speaking.
"Now, how about we get you all situated?"

[6 Months Later]
Time had passed rapidly since Morgan had recruited the new peerage, and killed Sebastian Valac, and a lot had happened over that time.
After the killing of Sebastian Valac, and the reveal that she had Incinerate Anthem in her peerage, the first time in the history of the Underworld for that particular Longinus. With that reveal, she had almost instantly gained the attention of the entire underworld, the Lords in particular.
Constant messages and offers for trading for Lint, subtle threats, and marriage proposals had become the norm. It was over these months that the pictures of Morgan had spread throughout the Underworld, and she had officially gained the title as "The Most Beautiful Woman in the Underworld" giving her even more attention.
She had denied all offers of course, having zero interest in ever giving away any of her beloved peerage members, they were hers and hers alone. Even with some of the offers being...incredibly high, especially from the Phenex family, offering her a massive 5% of their total revenue from phoenix tears from now on. That doesn't sound like a lot, but they were one of the richest, if not THE richest for a reason, and it was due to those tears.
Still, she denied them all. She knew of course that it was only a matter of time before someone like Sirzechs or Zekram came to her with an "Offer" which in the former case, would be subtle threats and blackmail in order to get Lint for his sister's peerage. Not that they would do anything to her, as she was totally prepared to leave the Underworld in a moment's notice, should she need to.
With the new lands, wealth, and connections of the Valac family, now absorbed into her family, she was able to expand her Potion business into several more cities, and created three more warehouses for production. The Sitri's were buying more potions than ever before, and her potion stores were gathering more and more attention, with large shipments being bought in bulk by other large families as well.
She had started to sell more types of potions, but nothing too crazy, as she didn't want to gain too much attention. The potion business was still under a fake name after all. The potions she had added to her business mostly involved things like poisons, momentarily boosting certain attributes, and similar effects.
With her potions business booming, she had decided to focus more on personal power, and the improvement of her peerage and their power.
Over these months, she had continued to boost her physical strength, being at a massive 5000 pounds on each weight with 5x gravity. While the girls had all upped their weights by around 100 to 250 pounds. Her new members were all at 100 to 300 pounds with 2x gravity at the moment, with Reina being the highest.
Speaking of Reina, the woman had proven to be an excellent addition to her family, with her training with Lint proving to be a godsend for the girl as she rapidly improved, showing off her incredible talent and potential for the sword. The woman in question had also rapidly begun to improve, now that she had someone who could properly push her to her fullest, giving her genuine sparring matches and good training.
Over the months, Issei had risen to peak High Class, Lint had risen to "High" High Class, Valerie to Middle High Class, and Reina had risen to the very bottom of Ultimate Class, having already been at the peak of High Class. Morgan herself had only increased in power by a decent bit, but not enough to bring about a true difference. As the difference between Ultimate Class and Satan Class was...immense.
The rest of the peerage that Morgan had gotten from Sebastian, had all risen to the very bottom of High Class before hitting their "walls" slowing drastically in growth, similar to how most of Morgan's peerage and Morgan herself was at the moment.
The maids had been an incredible boon to the house and family, as they had spruced up the place and ran it perfectly after Morgan had taught them some magic to help with household chores. The mansion was now in peak condition, with Morgan preparing to increase the size of the home in order to adapt to the increase of denizens. But that would be for the future, and wasn't something that mattered to much at the moment.
During these months, she had managed to recruit her next peerage member, and most probably her last for quite some time. The member recruited took her other bishop piece from Sebastian's set, and a powerful addition to the peerage, being a Low Ultimate Class being. The best part? They came to her, summoned her actually.

[Flashback] [A couple of months earlier]
Sitting in her office, Morgan was sipping on her morning coffee as she read over the newest report in regards to her earnings, and how her lands were being run. Only to stop as she felt herself being summoned.
"Hmm? A contractor? Been a little while since I was last summoned, and it seems whoever this is...is pretty strong too" Morgan muttered in slight surprise before smiling and accepting the summon, as she didn't have much else to do...besides paperwork, but paperwork could wait...probably.
Disappearing from her office, Morgan reappeared in a flash of light, as she glanced around finding herself in what looked to be grass plains.
"It worked!" A voice cheerfully exclaimed as Morgan turned, only to raise an eyebrow at the woman that stood there. She was, as all women in this universe seemed to be, drop dead gorgeous. She had a slim voluptuous figure with long blonde hair and gleaming sapphire blue eyes. But Morgan recognized her as someone else, as a woman known as...Levinia Reni, aka the older of Absolute Demise, the Longinus Sacred Gear, and the counter to Incinerate Anthem.
Gazing at the attractive woman, Morgan began "So, what is it you have summoned me for?"
"Oh-sorry, I'm Levinia Reni, and I would like to join your peerage!" Levinia exclaimed, a somewhat nervous, but excited smile on her beautiful face.
Blinking several times at the reply, Morgan looked at her befuddled.
"May I ask why?" Morgan asked after collecting her thoughts. She hadn't expected such a request, and certainly not so abruptly like this. She had been interested in Levinia due to her power and knowledge, but she wasn't sure if she was a part of Slash Dog or not, and whether or not she was working with Tobio and the Grigori.
"Well I did some research and I found out that the Zagan family has the largest, and most precious library in all the factions! And with that knowledge, I can further my magic. And as much as I love where I used to be, with the Grauzauberer, I think it's time for a change, and I think this is the one I need" Levinia replied, practically oozing with confidence in her decision, as Morgan stared at her.
"You do understand that you will be mine after this, right? A part of my peerage, a Devil who will be working with me? You won't be able to work like you used to, and you won't be a part of this faction any longer. You will be able to work with them still, but not like you have been" Morgan replied, while inwardly grinning in excitement at the prospect of recruiting yet another member for her peerage.
She wondered if there was something more at play, as it was beginning to get obvious that it was more than her "Charm" that was causing all of this. She began to think that the "Charm" wasn't just physical, but also affected things like luck and the likelihood of getting what she wants, almost like the Golden Rule that Gilgamesh has, or something similar.
"Yep! I already was prepared for all of that. And I think you'll be a lot better to serve than most other devils" Levinia replied with an innocent smile. Morgan looked at her before sighing, understanding that this woman was similar to Ingvild in that aspect. But from what she remembered, she was also innocent in terms of her own beauty and things like nudity, meaning she was going to be subject to a lot of unknown teasing, and more than that,
"Well...I don't see why not" Morgan replied with a sigh, knowing that her peerage was going to become even more ridiculous.
'I wonder who I'll be running into next...'

[Flashback End]
With the meeting with Levinia finishing, Morgan had gotten another peerage member, taking her last bishop piece from Sebastian's set, and more importantly, it gave her another sacred gear.
[Limen Magus | Sacred Gear - Limen Magus allows the user to copy any type of magic or spell because of Aži Dahāka's immense magical knowledge, which allows the user to replicate it. The user, to copy a spell or kind of magic, they must first physically see the spell. The world slows down for the user, as Limen Magus analyses the spell's structure and composition, and recreates it for the user to use as they see fit. A user's spells are kept in a personalized spellbook, a grimoire, which is summoned whenever they use Limen Magus. The grimoire flips open to pages for desired spells, moving on its own with not much effort besides the user's thoughts. Limen Magus is also capable of enhancing spells; it can turn a simple fireball spell into a raging firestorm, converting magical energy into the spell for increased power and effectiveness. A passive effect of Limen Magus is that the user possesses a large amount of magical energy. Created by NecroGodYami]
The sacred gear had been an incredible addition, and a welcome one. As thanks to Levinia now being a part of her peerage, and through this grimoire, Morgan had learned dozens of spells, and mastered all of them. The sacred gear had basically made her an absolute monster in all things magic, even more so than before.
Levinia had been a welcome addition to the peerage, as not only was she an excellent teacher to her existing Bishops, she was also just...a really nice person. That, and she was incredibly talented, having learned tons of new spells in her time in the peerage.
And just as Morgan had expected, the woman had begun to sneak into her bed at night innocently, cuddling up to Morgan half naked, not even realizing the sort of effect it had on Morgan. The other girls had gotten jealous when she began to do this, which lead to Morgan regularly waking up to a bunch of half naked women cuddling up against her. It was safe to say that she was being pushed to the edge.
The new addition had also been a welcome one due to Levinia's power level, being Low Ultimate Class being off the bat, thanks to her extensive training and magical prowess.
She had learned that Levinia had interacted with Tobio Ikuse (Aka the host of Canis Lykaon and member of Grigori) a couple of times in order to aid with some of his missions, but nothing more, not like she had in canon. If it went by canon, then she would be a close friend/lover to the man, but instead had just interacted a couple of times and that was that.
Morgan was pleased with this news, even if she didn't show it.
At the moment Morgan was dealing with a rather...peculiar situation, one involving a certain Magical girl Satan.
"Please Mo-chan! You've gotta go on my show! You'd be the perfect rival for my character!" Serafall whined as they sat across from one another, Morgan's eyebrow twitching at her friends' whines and complaints.
"Sera, no offense, but I'd rather eat glue. I enjoy going to the festivals and conventions, but being on a show ain't for me" Morgan replied.
"But Mo-channn, think about the yuri romance! The fans would go crazy!" Serafall whined out.
"...Yuri romance?" Morgan asked with a raised eyebrow, watching as Serafall coughed.
"Well yeah, all magical girl shows have a hint of yuri thrown in, just to bait the watchers, but this time, it'd actually be yuri!"
"Oh? And does that mean we'd have to kiss?" Morgan asked with a small smirk as she watched Serafall blink several times in realization, a soft dusting of pink coating her cheeks.
"O-on second thought, maybe we can just go to a convention. There's a big one happening in a couple of days" Serafall replied as Morgan frowned.
"I'm not sure If I'd be able to do that, Sera. I'm pretty busy nowadays"
"Really? Man, and here I thought you'd want to visit Kyoto with me! A beautiful girl all to yourself" Serafall pouted, only to stop when she noticed Morgan's interested look, a gleam in her eyes as she stared at Serafall creepily.
"Um, Mo-chan, you're kinda scaring me" Serafall said, as Morgan smirked and leaned forward.
"Kyoto you say? Tell me more about this...convention~"

That's the end of the chapter!
Sorry about the late upload, I was out of town today and only just got back later tonight. Unique Gamer AND SpiderGwen will be getting updated tomorrow.
She'll be visiting Kyoto in the next chapter and will be meeting several important characters.
I skipped a lot of the recruitment for Levinia, as...it was going to be the same for the most part, except she was summoned by Levinia herself instead of finding the woman.
She'll be getting more unknown characters from the novels and manga, so don't be surprised if she recruits characters from DxD that you've never heard of. This'll be the last recruited character for a few chapters though, as I'll be focusing more on her interaction with her peerage, the growth of her power and her family's power, and the development of her relationship with Serafall and some others.
Anyways, have a good day!
