Highschool DxD: Damn, I'm OP as Fuck!

Chapter 35: Chapter 35: A God’s Desperation

Cassandra was silent.

She had already seen this outcome in her dreams.

But knowing the future didn't make it any easier.

"Curse them…"

Apollo clenched his fists as he marched through the eastern plains.

His remaining followers—what little was left of the once-proud Apollo Familia—trudged behind him.

They had lost everything.

The wealth. The fortress. The honor.

Now, he was just another exiled god.

His face twisted with bitterness as he glanced back at Orario, his heart burning with hatred.

"I'll return," he whispered. "One day, I'll make them—"

A voice interrupted.

"Going somewhere, Lord Sun God?"

The group froze.

A figure stood directly in their path.

Kenji.

He stood there calmly, one hand resting on the hilt of his katana.

Apollo's heart sank.

"You…" Apollo's voice trembled. "You already won. What more do you want?"

The adventurers behind him stepped back instinctively.

They had seen what Kenji was capable of.

They knew they stood no chance.

Kenji smirked.

"I came to send you off," he said casually.

Then—his hand tightened on his sword.

Apollo's breath hitched.

He suddenly realized—

Kenji wasn't letting him go.

Kenji vanished.

A yellow thunderclap exploded through the air.

Before Apollo's men could even react—

Blood sprayed.

Bodies collapsed in silence, eyes still wide with shock.

Kenji landed lightly, his blade dripping crimson.

Only Apollo remained.

"You dare?!" Apollo gasped, staggering backward.

He looked at the corpses of his remaining followers, then at the calm, unshaken Kenji.

"You… You think you can kill a god?"

His voice shook—not with anger, but fear.

Kenji took a step forward.

Apollo's body tensed.

"Stay back!" he hissed.

Kenji didn't stop.

"Enough!"

Apollo's divine power flared.

A blinding golden light erupted, surging with the raw energy of a god.

Kenji's instincts screamed.

His body reacted immediately, leaping backward as a shockwave exploded outward.

The ground beneath Apollo cracked.

The sky split open.

A massive pillar of light descended, enveloping Apollo in a divine radiance.

He was being called back to heaven.

In Orario, gods and mortals turned their eyes skyward.

"A divine beam?" someone gasped.

"A god broke the rules… Who—?"

Loki narrowed her eyes.

"That idiot," she muttered. "It's gotta be Apollo."

Hestia, standing outside the Hestia Familia home, clenched her fists.

"Kenji…" she whispered.

She didn't need to see it.

She knew he was responsible.

---

Apollo hovered in the beam of light, his body slowly rising.

Kenji watched him coldly.

Apollo's eyes locked onto his.

"Kenji… I'll remember this," he spat.

Kenji's response was simple.

He raised his sword—

And grinned.

Apollo's body vanished into the heavens.

The Sun God was gone.

Kenji exhaled.

He sheathed his sword, turning away from the now lifeless battlefield.

It was over.

He had won.

Again.
