Highschool DxD: Damn, I'm OP as Fuck!

Chapter 32: Chapter 32: War Games?

"You're lying! He was the one who started it!"

Liliruca's furious voice cut through the banquet hall, her small hands clenched into fists. She glared at Apollo, who stood confidently on the stage, spinning the story in his favor.

But the gathered gods?

They didn't care about the truth.

They cared about entertainment.

Apollo smiled, his golden eyes flickering with amusement. "Since both sides claim different things, why don't we settle it the way gods do? A War Game between our Familia!"

The hall fell silent.

Hestia's expression darkened instantly. "You're joking," she said coldly.

"If we win," Apollo continued, ignoring her, "I want the criminal—Kenji—handed over to me."

A murmur spread through the crowd. Many gods smirked knowingly.

They knew Apollo's obsession with beautiful things. They also knew this challenge wasn't about revenge.

It was about ownership.

Kenji's eyes sharpened. He could feel Apollo's predatory gaze on him.

This wasn't a challenge.

It was a claim.

"That's impossible!" Hestia snapped. "Our Familia only has three people! You have an entire army!"

Apollo simply shrugged. "War Games are fair… if both parties agree."

Kenji stepped forward. His voice was calm, but his presence filled the room.

"I accept."

"Kenji!" Hestia spun toward him in shock. "You don't have to—"

"It's fine," he said smoothly with confidence.

"But I have my own conditions."

Apollo's smile wavered. "Oh?"

"If I win," Kenji said, "I want two of your Familia members. And the rest of your Familia—including you—must leave Orario forever."

The crowd gasped.

That was no small demand.

Apollo's smile twitched.

A tense pause. Then—

"Very well," Apollo said, forcing a grin. "You have courage. I like that."

His golden eyes glowed. "Then let it be decided—War Games in three days!"

Three Days Later

Kenji stood alone on a vast plain.

Ahead of him loomed a fortress.

The Apollo Familia's base.

From the ramparts, dozens of armored adventurers stood ready.

Waiting.

Watching.

Inside a private viewing chamber within Babel Tower, the gods had gathered, eager to witness the spectacle.

"Yo, Hestia!" Apollo grinned smugly as she entered the viewing area. "You sure you don't want to back out?"

Hestia ignored him. She scanned the viewing screens, her gaze locking onto Kenji's lone figure.

A hand touched her shoulder.

It was Hephaestus.

"You trust him?" the red-haired goddess asked.

Hestia exhaled, her fingers clutching her skirt.

"I do," she whispered.

"He's the best child I've ever seen."

Hephaestus nodded. "Then let's watch history happen."

The countdown started.

Across Orario, citizens crowded around magical projections broadcasting the War Game.

Liliruca and Bell stood among the spectators, hearts pounding.

"Kenji-sama…" Liliruca whispered.

"Kenji can win," Bell said, clenching his fists.

Meanwhile, in the Loki Familia's camp, the goddess Loki sighed dramatically.

"That idiot," she muttered. "Taking on a whole Familia alone?"

Tiona grinned. "I dunno, Loki! I kinda like this guy's style!"

The countdown hit zero.

Kenji moved swiftly.

And the War Game began.
