High School DxD: “The future Harem King”

Chapter 13: CH 13

Su Hai stood amidst the carnage of defeated monsters, the air thick with the scent of blood and magic. Retracting his sword into its sheath with a smooth motion, he knelt to collect the fallen monsters' Magic Stones, placing them into the large leather sack slung across his back.

Since the System Space could only store items obtained from Golden Eggs, Su Hai had to rely on a regular sack to carry his loot. Still, the weight didn't bother him—his strengthened physique and enhanced agility made the burden negligible.

Clearing the Dungeon Floors

As Su Hai ventured deeper into the dungeon, goblins emerged from the stone walls, their claws and crude weapons raised in attack. But they were too weak—mere fodder for beginners. Against Su Hai, whose strength far exceeded that of typical adventurers, they were nothing more than practice targets.

Each goblin that approached was swiftly cut down, their bodies vanishing into ash as their Magic Stones clinked into the bag.

Passing through the passage to the second floor, Su Hai encountered new monsters—Kobolds with canine features and sharper claws. Though stronger and more numerous than goblins, they still posed no challenge.

With his Thunder Breathing and strengthened body, Su Hai sliced through the monsters with ease, advancing through the dungeon at an astonishing pace:

• 3rd Floor: Pig-headed monsters and killer ants

• 4th Floor: Poisonous moths, releasing toxic spores

• 5th Floor: Unicorn rabbits, agile but fragile

• 6th Floor: Blue swallowtail butterflies, swift and numerous

Su Hai pushed forward without pause. Each monster he defeated contributed to his rapid growth—his strength, agility, endurance, and magic all improving as his body adapted to the strain of combat.

After half a day of near-continuous fighting, Su Hai reached the 15th floor. Here, at last, he found monsters worthy of his attention—Minotaurs, towering beasts of muscle and rage, classified as Level 2 monsters.

As the red-skinned, bull-headed creatures emerged from the dungeon walls, Su Hai's eyes lit up with anticipation.

Training Among Monsters

Instead of slaying the monsters outright, Su Hai chose to test his limits. Enhancing his body with Reinforcement Magic, he gripped the Nichirin Blade in one hand and charged into the horde, dodging and weaving between attacks with fluid grace.

When evasion wasn't possible, he deflected strikes with his blade, the clash of steel against horns and claws ringing through the air.

Every move he made—every dodge, parry, and attack—contributed to his growth. In this world, combat directly translated into experience:

• Using Magic increased his Magic stat.

• Enduring Attacks improved his Durability.

• Dodging and Moving enhanced his Dexterity and Agility.

• Striking Enemies strengthened his Power.

This rapid progression was unique to adventurers with a Falna, but Su Hai's already exceptional strength made it possible for him to train in ways others couldn't.

While other Level 0 adventurers would have been torn apart in seconds, Su Hai used the swarm of monsters as a training ground, pushing his reflexes and stamina to their limits.

More and more Minotaurs emerged—soon, there were more than twenty surrounding him, accompanied by hundreds of smaller monsters: goblins, pig-headed beasts, and killer ants.

But Su Hai only smiled, continuing to dodge and counter their attacks as if dancing among them.

Approaching the Battlefield – Loki Familia

What Su Hai didn't know was that he wasn't alone.

Descending from the 16th floor into the 15th, a group of adventurers approached, their path illuminated by enchanted lanterns.

Leading them was a small but imposing figure—a Pallum with short blond hair and piercing blue eyes, wielding a spear taller than himself. His presence radiated both strength and authority.

This was Finn Deimne, the Captain of the Loki Familia, known as the Braver—a Level 6 adventurer renowned for both his combat prowess and strategic genius.

Beside him walked a young woman with long golden hair and eyes like liquid gold—the Sword Princess, Ais Wallenstein, one of the city's strongest adventurers.

Also present were several other prominent members of the Loki Familia:

• Riveria Ljos Alf, the Nine Hell, a Level 6 High Elf and the city's greatest magician.

• Gareth Landrock, a powerful Dwarven warrior with the title of Elgarm.

• Bete Loga, the Fierce Wolf, a Level 6 Werewolf known for his speed and strength.

• The Amazon sisters, Tiona and Tione Hiryute, renowned for their unmatched melee combat skills.

Together, they formed one of the two strongest Familias in Orario, second only to the Freya Familia.

Unexpected Sounds of Battle

As they approached the 15th floor, Finn glanced back at his companions.

"We've pushed ourselves hard this time. Everyone's earned a few days of rest when we get back," he said with a faint smile.

His gaze shifted to Ais, who walked silently beside him.

"Especially you, Ais. Training is important, but pushing yourself too hard can be dangerous. Remember, you're already the strongest member of our Familia—and one of the strongest adventurers in Orario."

Ais opened her mouth to reply—

But her words were cut off by the distant sounds of battle—

The heavy thud of hooves, the clash of metal against flesh, and the inhuman roars of monsters echoed through the dungeon's stone corridors.

Instinctively, Ais turned her head toward the source of the noise, her golden eyes narrowing slightly.

Finn and the others also paused, their expressions turning serious.

"It sounds like… Minotaurs. But there shouldn't be that many gathered in one place unless something unusual is happening," Riveria noted calmly.

"Could be a Monster Party," Bete added with a hint of excitement. "We should check it out. Never know when some rookie's gotten themselves surrounded."

Without needing further discussion, the group picked up their pace, moving swiftly toward the sounds of combat.

Encounter on the 15th Floor

When they arrived at the edge of the clearing, the sight before them was enough to make even seasoned adventurers pause.

In the center of a vast open space, surrounded by a swirling tide of monsters, stood a lone figure—

A young man, his dark hair tousled and his eyes alight with determination, moved through the horde with impossible speed. His blade gleamed with yellow lightning as he danced between the Minotaurs' massive fists, dodging their attacks with split-second precision.

Instead of cutting them down, he seemed to be using them as training partners—deliberately prolonging the fight as he honed his reflexes and technique.

"What… is he doing?" Tiona asked, her eyes widening in surprise.

"Is he insane? No rookie should be able to survive that many monsters at once!" Bete growled.

"Wait…" Ais took a step forward, her eyes fixed on the young swordsman. "He's not struggling… He's controlling the fight."

Riveria's gaze narrowed. "Who is this boy? I don't recognize him from any Familia. And yet, his movements… He's already beyond the level of most Level 1 adventurers."

Finn remained silent, his sharp eyes analyzing every detail—the boy's speed, the efficiency of his dodges, the controlled power of his attacks.

"This isn't luck or desperation. He knows exactly what he's doing," Finn murmured.

Su Hai's Perspective

Su Hai, of course, had no idea he was being watched.

Lost in the rhythm of battle, he continued to weave through the swarm of monsters, his every motion contributing to his growth.

He could feel the difference already—his movements becoming faster, his strikes more precise, and his endurance steadily increasing.

Yet even as the thrill of combat coursed through his veins, a small part of his mind remained curious—

How much stronger could he become with the Golden Egg System fueling his growth?

And how far could he push himself in this world of gods and heroes?

With a sharp exhale, Su Hai adjusted his grip on his blade and charged forward once more—

Unaware that the eyes of Orario's strongest adventurers were now upon him.
