Chapter 8: Chapter Eight
The curtain parted as she moved her body down the runway. Aria was prepared to enthrall the audience with her overall presence, and present the designs in the best possible way. She sashayed herself in front of the cameras and photographers her face poised in neutral perfection. She posed and spun back. By the corner of her eye she glimpsed a familiar body figure and her heart skipped ferociously as blood sharply rushed to her head. She slightly swayed as all the memories rushed back and forcefully stole her breath away. No, not on the 365th day.
As she walked through the curtain, she swiftly exhaled and grabbed the nearest rack to steady her faint body.
What are you doing to me? His deep resonant voice reverberated, the warmth of his alluring aquamarine eyes looking down at her; her last night with him at the gourmet restaurant. What are you doing to me Major? A full year distance from you yet you still have the same effect on me.
'Aria are you okay? Her modeling coach held her upright. 'Is it too much?' she nodded towards the curtain that dimmed the lights and cheers from the runway.
Aria exhaled. Take control of yourself. 'its fine Livia. Thank you. I can definitely handle it'.
Livia looked at her with worry for a brief second, then snapped her hands towards the closed doors where the models changed. 'Go get dressed then'. Aria grabbed her hand as she was about to walk away. 'Livia please wait. Who's the guy seated in a blue suit behind the third camera?
'The host of the event, Major Knight' she said in a flippant tone and walked away. Aria was both glad and sad. Guess the universe was not determined to let her forget about Major Knight; The tall, huge, and attractive man who was the reason for her consistent wet dreams.

Sienna nodded to herself pleased to see the stage running in perfect rhythm and synchrony. Her in-laws would be so thrilled. They had hired her and her team of planners to manage the event and she was set on not letting them down. She was determined to make sure that it didn't only run smoothly, but that the sales and media coverage would surpass Major's expectations.
For the past 3 months she had tried to please her difficult stubborn husband to no avail. He doesn't even wear his wedding ring when he leaves the house. She glared at him from afar as she saw a slight frown on his lips. He was looking down at everything in distaste.
The same look of distaste he gave her that morning when she presented his normal mug of coffee to his study.
'You should let the cook do it' he chipped in irritation as his gaze whipped up from the papers on his desk to her body and the tray in her hand. She itched closer in trepidation like a mouse investigating cheese in a trap.
Major's huge frame and his constant expression of displeasure always scared her. She cleared her throat. 'I am your wife now, so I'll like to do some things for you, to know you better, to please you' to make up for the courtship we never had to explore feelings for each other.
He chortled and Sienna couldn't tell if it was in mockery or it was genuine. He went back to shuffling the papers, completely ignoring her as she stood there unsure of what to do.
She took it as a cue to drop the tray on the desk. She turned to leave when he called her back. 'You'll take it back when I'm done drinking it'. She nodded and quietly stood at a corner, her heart beating fearfully as he wrapped his hands around the mug and brought it to his lips.
He took a gulp and motioned her to come closer. Like a mouse she scurried over to him. His face was emotionless so she couldn't tell if he enjoyed her coffee or not.
She had spent the last three hours with his housekeeper in the early hours of the morning learning how to make the perfect coffee for him that's exactly like Major. The right amount of cream to make it look good like him, the right amount of hot, the right tang of bland, just like him; no excitement and no joy, just bland and beautiful.
After 53 wasted cups of coffee, she finally produced a mug of coffee that had his housekeeping nodding elatedly. 'Perfecto!' the same coffee that was sitting at his desk, the same coffee that he bitterly spat out of his mouth and on the lush nightwear she was wearing that she bought specially to please him, the same coffee he crudely pushed towards her frightened form.
'Just get out!' he barked roughly as she stood there petrified not knowing what to do, what she did wrong.
The same look of distaste he gave her earlier that night when she climbed into the bed wearing her sexiest lingerie. He was in front of the mirror rehearsing the script to his latest movie and she sexily swung her hips towards him, keeping eye contact with him through the full-length mirror, then she crawled across the bed to his tantalizing male form and hugged him from behind.
He was as rigid as stone, like she was touching a corpse; cold and unfeeling. It didn't deter her. she had heard of how the Major Knight was delicious in bed and though he refused to consummate the marriage, she was going to have him here and now.
'Major' she purred into his ear, and licked him, a sliver of daring bravery flashing through her. His hard resolve finally melted and soon she had him hard for her and wrapped in her arms. The sex was everything she imagined and more, but during his orgasm he had called someone else's name instead.
She stared at his sleeping form afterwards a tangle of emotions festering in her heart.
