Chapter 171: Rescue operation (4)
It was easy to sneak past these people that were partying in the main room of this cave.
Though as I was going past them, I couldn't help looking in the corner of this cave.
There was a pile of bodies that had been placed there.
All of the bodies in that pile were that of young women…
It was clear that these were the slaves that they had gathered to sell, but they had taken them for themselves to play with. The ones that they took were those that weren't as pretty, so it was only natural that they wouldn't sell that well.
But those were still people's lives…
The fact that they were dead showed that these thugs had quite dangerous tastes.
In my mind, I could only say, "I'll do what I can to take revenge for you when this is over. I hope that will help you rest in peace."
Once I moved past the main room, I found that there wasn't anything else that was here other than a few storage rooms.
It was clear that this place was nothing more than a place for them to gather as there were just a few supplies in these rooms.
There was nothing that I was looking for that was here.
Seeing this, I couldn't help narrowing my eyes to look at the corridor that was in front of me. There was even a part of me that was wondering if I had made a mistake coming to this place.
But after thinking about it, it didn't seem like it would be wrong.
If anything, it was most likely that they were hiding in this place since it would be the safest way to do it.
Hiding in the place that one wouldn't think that they would hide in.
It was like hiding right out in the open.
"But how do I open up the path forward?" I couldn't help thinking to myself as I looked around the area.
No matter how I tried, I couldn't find anything.
"In this case, you just have to use a bit of knowledge from our past life." I was caught off guard when I heard this in my mind.
But then I asked, "What do you mean by that?"
Yulian appeared beside me after he said this, but he didn't say anything in response to this question. Instead, he just suddenly closed his eyes as if he was sensing something.
"Aero." That was all he said while he was doing this.
I couldn't help raising a brow when I saw this, but I still waited to see what he was doing.
After he called out the power of Aero, the medium grade wind spirit, there was a slight breeze that appeared in this place. But even with this slight breeze, it wasn't as if anything was about to change.
All of a sudden, Yulian lifted his hand and pointed at one of the rooms before saying, "It's over there?"
I was confused by what he meant by this.
Though if I really wanted, it would have been easy to link our minds to know what he was thinking. However, that was a form of cheating and there was nothing to gain from that.
Following him to the room, I just watched as he gently rapped on the walls with his knuckles.
If I didn't know that he was up to something, then I would have thought that he was crazy.
After a while, he finally stood in front of one of the walls and said, "It's here."
"How do you know?" I couldn't help asking.
He looked at me with a strange look before saying, "Can you really not feel it?"
I just looked back at him with the same confused look since I had no idea what he was talking about.
In the end, he grabbed my head and put it right up against the wall before saying, "Aero."
Once he said this, I could feel the breeze that came from the wall.
But that was strange since a breeze shouldn't be coming from a wall like this.
The only way that a breeze could come from a wall like this was if there was something that was behind that created a space for the wind to come from. That meant that this was where the mastermind was hiding their stuff or themselves.
Now I understood what he meant by this and didn't get angry over the fact that he had grabbed my head like that.
This was a common thing in our past life, but it wasn't that common in this game world.
Since coming to this game world, we found that some simple things that we knew as common sense in our past life didn't seem to apply to this game world…
"It's all up to you." Yulian said before disappearing again.
I couldn't help shaking my head with a bitter smile before looking at the wall in front of me.
I tried using my mana to see if there was a keyhole or something that would open the wall, but I wasn't able to find anything when I used my mana scan.
So in the end…
"I guess I'll just have to use force…" It didn't seem like I would be able to figure out the mechanism for this hidden door, so the only thing that could be done was to use force.
But using force meant alerting the person that was behind it.
"Let's just try to use controlled force. I don't think there's anyone else in this world that would be able to do this."
After saying that, I raised my hand up and said, "Pyro."
As soon as I said that, flames started gathering around my hand. However, the flames didn't burn me at all even though it completely surrounded my hand.
Instead, it seemed like the flames were vibrating like some kind of saw blade.
It didn't take long for the flames to take another form.
What I had created was a plasma saw blade that I plunged into the wall in front of me.
