Chapter 157: My Species
Blast, Void, and King Boris raced toward Z-City Ghost Town. By the time they arrived, half the district lay in ruins from the battle between two monsters ahead. One resembled a gargoyle; the other, a cyclopean alien.
The first-ranked hero looked over. "Boris, that navy-blue one is—"
"He is of my race. This must be the friend mentioned by Caspian."
Void remained silent.
Their arrival drew the attention of both combatants.
"You are Blast? And you..." The cyclopean alien paused. "I did not expect to encounter another member of my race again."
How did… Caspian must have described my appearance to him.
"Blast! To think the Rank 1 S-Class Hero would come find me. But you're in my way right now, so leave."
King Boris spoke. "Seal them away for now."
Are they responsible for the melt—
Heavy footsteps from behind rubble cut Blast's thoughts short.
From the ruins emerged a towering monster of myriad green shades. "You will not get the chance to do so." It stopped, then turned its eyeless head to the navy-blue alien. "I have returned."
Lord Boros stood stunned before responding. "Haha! Groribas, you have indeed returned! The New Dark Matter Thieves need a proper general. Will you join my ranks once more?"
"You need not ask," replied Groribas.
Void nudged Blast. "We should finish them quick. These three are dangerous."
"He is correct," King Boris agreed.
Blast held the same opinion and stepped forward. "You three have the potential to threaten the Earth. For now, you will be sent to a pocket dimension until the 'Earth Defence Force' can determine your fates."
"No one can determine the fate of 'Absolute Evil.'"
The monstrous gargoyle flexed, but before anything could come from it, Groribas crossed the remaining distance and arrived between the two groups.
"Go on with your battle. I will handle these three alone."
"I knew if given the chance, your true potential would shine through."
"Your faith in me Lord Boros is the reason I returned to this plane."
He's been outside Z-City Ghost Town before?
"Is he kidding?" asked Void.
Blast wouldn't entertain them any longer. "'Shut!'" Two gates overlapped and disappeared alongside Groribas.
"You two are nex—"
A wall of force slammed into Blast. He dug his boots into the ground, sliding backward across stone fragments. Void and King Boris shared the same fate.
Where they had stood, a column of green energy erupted; annihilating the ground and searing a path into the blackness of space.
The air before Blast buckled as light bent around a figure assembling itself from the distortion. Plates of emerald and darker green locked over a muscular torso. Its jaw, a seam of needle-teeth, parted.
"You think you can restrain me or my…
'Acid Breath?'"

"Don't clean up the results."
Caspian tracked Fubuki's pointed finger to the table's center, where his spilled essence blended with her released fluids and a streak of virginal blood. "I understand."
Fubuki flashed a warm smile before donning her last garments.
Caspian understood far more… he comprehended everything…
After making love with Fubuki and claiming her first time, he unlocked the final surge to elevate his 'Omni Sense' to its pinnacle: 'Omniscience.' His strength, he recognized, neared and would eventually eclipse 'Omnipotence.' Defying reason, he realized his potential could expand infinitely in both. His mortal mind once would have recoiled, shouting: 'That makes no sense!'
Such fragile human boundaries no longer confined him.
Gratefully, he could toggle his 'Omniscience' off, select what to forget or remember, or channel it toward specific matters. He did so, zeroing in on one unresolved thread: 'God.'
Caspian felt the journey had lingered too long. The days when he could spend all of his time with his wives, children, and friends drew near.
"Let me visit the restroom before we leave," Fubuki said, yanking him from his thoughts.
"Don't slip out the window like last time."
"What window?"
Caspian honed in on the sway of her hips. He didn't need 'Omniscience' to know that sight would never weary him.
In order to pass the time while he waited for her, he shifted his focus.
Now what is everyone up to?
He surveyed the world and stopped over Z-City Ghost Town's periphery.
Had I kept 'Omniscience' active, had I retained its revelations beyond 'God,' this spectacle would not have surprised me. My decision proved wise.

Garou roared "'God Slayer Ascending Attack!'" as he launched himself at Boros with breathtaking speed. His powerful fist slammed into Boros' chest, immediately followed by a lightning-fast kick that sent the alien hurtling toward a distant building like a shooting star.
Without pause, Garou raced across the barren landscape. Overtaking Boros mid-flight, he coiled his body and thrust both open hands forward. "'Great Fa Jin!'" The ground cratered beneath him from the sheer force as his technique obliterated the building and everything beyond it for hundreds of meters.
Boros disappeared into the massive cloud of dust and debris.
No matter how tough this alien's bones and flesh are—what!?
"You have gotten a little stronger." Boros emerged from the settling dust. "Haha! I have never fought an opponent like you. Both your ability to grow and your fighting style entertain me."
A little… entertain… I'm still too weak! Too weak!
"More power!" Garou's desperate shout shook the air itself. His emotions and burning desire forced a transformation: his frame expanded as two additional arms sprouted from his upper back.
"This new form of yours is neat."
"Neat!?"
Fury consumed Garou before he unleashed a devastating barrage, his four arms blurring into what seemed like dozens of fists; Boros responded to the knuckle storm with an ease that stunned Garou.
He can keep up with me even with just one hand?!
Their exchange carried them far from Z-City, until only cracked, reddish-brown earth surrounded them and a single thought solidified in Garou's mind: I can't block it all.
Determination drove him to put everything into his next attack: a two-fisted blow with his full might behind it. Boros met it like all the others before with a single fist of his own.
As the three fists collided, a shockwave ripped through Garou's body, and his arms exploded from his torso in a spray of blood and tissue. In return, Boros' arm shattered.
Boros looked to the place where his arm had been and back to Garou with a grin. "There is something you should know about my species."
