Her Cultivation Diary

Chapter 1295: Originally Planned [Double Release]

The breakfast was so satisfying and hearty that in the afternoon, Master Jiang considerately waited until 1 o'clock to slowly begin preparing the meal.

He had already started stewing the necessary dishes early in the morning, and the rice was steamed and ready. All he needed to do was shout out loud — but no, once more people arrive, shouting like this wouldn't seem classy. He decided he'd ask Song Tan to get a bell for him.

He'd ring it when it was time.

Remembering this, Master Jiang walked to the factory courtyard and shouted, "Time to eat!"

But just as he finished shouting, a familiar young man emerged from the nearby factory:

"Master, please wait a bit, we're just finishing up cleaning the garbage and will come over soon."

Master Jiang was taken aback: "How did you get in there?"

"This morning, Uncle Song said this area would be our responsibility in the future, so he gave us the keys to get familiar with the place."

"Seeing the place was a bit dusty and since we had nothing else to do, everyone joined in to help clean up."

Master Jiang: ...!!!

If only the apprentices he'd previously taught in the kitchen had this kind of initiative, he would have cherished them so much more!

He wasn't in a hurry to serve the meal, instead, he ambled leisurely into the factory himself.

Upon glancing around, he saw that the floor was spotlessly clean, the slight layer of dust that had built up from lack of use was completely gone.

With this level of cleaning, what difference is there from those ads selling vacuum robots on TV?!

Good, good, good! The more he looked at these young men, the more he liked them. Thinking about what these young guys had been through, he couldn't resist a slight impulse.

But he quickly calmed down.

No rush, no rush, they're just starting, let's observe some more.

A bunch of young men were cautiously cleaning up the small debris in the corners; some were washing cloths and mops. Chen Yuan, who had earlier come out with the keys, took the opportunity to check out the whole factory.

He held a notebook, discussing with a few others:

"...there are quite a few dead corners, later if work goes into full swing, there are some places that will need people around 24/7..."

Master Jiang found himself deeply impressed.

He patiently watched as everyone deftly wrapped up the work bit by bit before he slowly returned to the kitchen.

Sure enough, within five minutes, all 23 young men had lined up neatly.

They looked around the canteen first, then without hesitation, went to the sanitation cabinet to get trays, following in an orderly manner to the serving counter.

Master Jiang swung the large ladle with extra effort, scooping out heaping servings of radish stewed with pork belly, not a single shake:

"This is delicious! Have more of this!"

"Want some more braised ribs with scallions? The scallions are flavorful too! I planted them casually by the side of the factory!"

They'd just arrived and had yet to be assigned any work, yet they were served such hearty meals for two meals straight...

The braised ribs were truly all ribs, though the radish stewed with meat had more radish, the aroma made it smell even better than the braised ribs!

Everyone's trays were piled high, their hands slightly shaking from serving the rice, causing them to lower the rice a bit.

Master Jiang still shouted, "If anyone prefers noodles, just say so, we can alternate, or tomorrow I can heat up some buns for you with the rice."

Whether rice or noodles, everyone was used to eating at the canteen. Especially with Master Jiang's cooking — it's not oily, salty, or heavily seasoned, but the flavor is perfectly balanced!

The unique, distinct aroma of the braised ribs and the better-than-meat texture of the radish in the stewed meat...

As everyone sat down with their trays, they quietly ate a couple of bites before hesitantly asking:

"Is it like this every meal?"

Just as they finished the question, Master Jiang shouted again: "Don't rush to eat, have a bowl of hawthorn soup to whet your appetite and cleanse your palate! I noticed you had a hearty meal this morning..."

Having overheard the earlier question, he then continued, "Dinner won't be like this, we're having fried eggs with chili and sautéed garlic sprouts with twice-cooked pork."

"You don't have night shifts now, so no late-night snacks... If you get hungry, just grab something from the corner store to tide you over."

Everyone couldn't help but touch their stomachs and obediently got up to a ladle of hawthorn soup.

The hawthorn soup was tangy, not overly sweet, but somehow brewed to be refreshing and thirst-quenching; despite the winter chill, drinking it felt just right.

Master Jiang came out of the kitchen with a bowl, smiling warmly as he looked at them and spoke:
