Help! I Became A Guy In A BL Novel!

Chapter 302: Shut Up!

"He will kill you. He'll smile while he does it."

"No," Riven whispered, almost too soft to hear. "That's not true."

"You saw it."

The room was quiet. Too quiet.

The sound of Soren's footsteps had long since faded, leaving Riven alone in the dim bedroom. But his heart pounded like war drums in his ears. Something wasn't right. Again.

"You're going to die."

There it was. That voice. Smooth, and familiar in a way that made Riven's stomach turn.

"Shut up," Riven hissed under his breath, clutching his chest. "Just shut up!"

No. The voice was calm. Steady. Not loud, not cruel—almost gentle. "I'm doing this for your own good. I wish… I wish I had someone to warn me. Maybe I wouldn't have died..."

Riven froze.

What?

His throat tightened. "Who are you?"

There was a pause. Then a breath of laughter—bitter and soft, like wind through broken glass. I'm Riven.

The air in the room dropped a degree. Riven blinked slowly, heart thudding harder.

"Are you… Are you the original Riven?" He asked.

The voice let out a sigh, not of impatience, but of deep exhaustion. "Original? No... I think I forgot who the original was a long time ago."

Another pause. "I am you. And you are me."

Riven's breath caught in his throat. It did not make sense. Just what was this voice talking about? "I am you? You are me? That does not make sense!" Riven snapped. He didn't mean to, but his mental state at this moment was not good.

"Doesn't it? I won't go into the details, it'll only drown you in suffering. Just listen to me. Stay away from all of them. All of them..."

He backed up until he hit the wall, clutching his arms.

"Why are you saying these things?" he asked quietly.

"Because you need to live... You need to survive. That's what she wanted, that's what she still wants. Stay away from all of them. Otherwise, you will die. It is not a possibility, it's a fact." The voice tried to reason with Riven.

"Who is this she you're talking about? Is she the woman I saw in my coma?"

The voice did not reply.

"Why now, why not before I got involved with any of them?" Riven demanded an answer, he did not believe this voice. He did not believe anything it said. For all he knew, someone was trying to manipulate him.

"Because I couldn't warn you... Ever. This is not the first time I tried. I could never succeed in reaching you, but for some reason, this time, I could." The voice spoke with tiredness, wishing everything would end right then.

"Just... Why..." Riven muttered, he did not expect this to happen when he transmigrated into a BL smut! What was happening? Where was his story going? BL Gods, help!

"Because you need to know." The voice grew colder. "If you keep walking this path… if you keep getting involved with them—Soren, Ronan, even Eli… You'll die. Again."

He refused to believe this... This damned voice. Why should he believe it? Why should he assume that this voice was telling the truth!

"Stop it."

"You'll be crushed between them. Used. Broken. You think they love you?"The voice scoffed."You're something they claim, not something they protect. It's only a matter of time before one of them hurts you again. And again. And again."

"I told you to shut up! And you know what, if I told myself to shut the fuck up, I would." Riven snapped, this time on purpose.

"I can prove it. I know everything about you, because I am indeed you. I know that you have a soft spot for Eli out of everyone, and I know that you have a birthmark on your shoulder. I know all about... Mother."

Riven blinked, slowly gaining back his sanity, the effects of the drug were wearing off. He did not know what to say, of course, he had a soft spot for Eli, he thought that much was... Obvious. And as for the birthmark, lots of people know! Including the butler who helped him bathe in the lion kingdom.

"Shut up!" Riven growled, shaking his head. "They love me. They've saved me—"

"For now," the voice said darkly. "But one day, they won't. And you'll remember this moment, this warning."

Riven tried his best not to scream, "Then what do you want me to do?! Be alone?! Run away?! Just—what, disappear?!"

Yes, the voice whispered. "Survive."

"You don't know me," Riven said through gritted teeth, though his voice shook. "You don't know anything about me… Or the men you're telling me to stay away from."

"You're saying I don't know anything?"

The voice's tone turned sharp, cutting through the air like a blade. For a heartbeat, there was silence—then laughter. Harsh, echoing laughter that made the walls feel too close around him. "You are a fool!"

The world flickered. Riven staggered, pressing a hand to the wall, but it was gone—the floor beneath him replaced by soft grass wet with dew. He looked around wildly. A wide, moonlit lake stretched in front of him, perfectly still except for the ripples moving toward the shore. His own reflection trembled in the water: eyes hollow, hair tangled, mouth moving silently.

He was kneeling in the grass, symbols carved into his bare arms. Riven watched himself lift a knife over his head, the blade glinting silver in the moonlight.

"What is happening? Who is this?"

"You," the voice spat.

"This is you, trying to sever the bond. Trying to be free from Ronan... So that Soren will take you in, you want to know what those two men are doing while you were risking your life?"

The knife in the vision came down. Riven flinched—but he didn't feel it. He squeezed his eyes shut, willing the image to stop.

But the darkness only shifted again.

He was in Soren's study.

He saw Soren sitting at a wide desk, papers neatly stacked in front of him. His pale hand rested on a folder stamped with a wax seal. Riven squinted and felt his heart stop. He knew those documents.

Property transfers. Titles. In exchange for him.
