Heaven’s seizer;Bane of the myriad races

Chapter 13: Journey of cultivation

"Uncle Tian!" Tian Yi yelled as he leapt over a bush, twigs whipping against his robes. "You're running in the wrong direction! Home is the other way!"

Ahead, the old man bounced like a rabbit possessed, clutching the smoking roast armadillo in one hand like a stolen treasure.

"Quiet, brat! This is sacred business! Food first, destiny later!"

"You're insane!" Tian Yi groaned, panting as he chased after him. "You just robbed me of my culinary pride!",

After several breathless minutes, Uncle Tian finally skidded to a halt. Not deep in the forest… but just outside their family compound.

Tian Yi blinked. "Wait… we're back home?"

"Where'd you think I was taking you? The Heaven-Stealing Pavilion?",

Uncle Tian rolled his eyes and munched the final flesh off the large bone piece, sighing like a man who'd touched nirvana. "Your cooking's improved. Still needs more pepper ,young master."

"I will report you to my mom," Tian Yi muttered.

"Go ahead." Uncle Tian tossed the bone aside and turned toward the old storage shed at the corner of the compound. Its door hadn't been opened in years.

Uncle Tian knelt beside the shed, brushing aside a patch of dust. His fingers pried open a hidden panel in the floor, revealing a velvet-wrapped bundle.

From inside, he drew a radiant purple jade, carved into the shape of an auspicious egg. Light pulsed softly within it, as though breathing.

Tian Yi's eyes widened. "That's… spirit jade?"

"More than that,it's a world stone…"

Uncle Tian turned the gem over in his palm. "I left this with your parents young master, when you were a child,as a way to signal me if you were ever in trouble,

Didn't think I'd need it again… until now."

He handed it to Tian Yi.

As soon as Tian Yi touched it, a wave of warmth passed through his fingers, flowing up his arm and settling in his chest like a still pond.

"What… is this supposed to do?" he asked.

Uncle Tian's tone turned serious. "It stores purified Qi. But more importantly, it resonates with yours. It's a guide and a key. But first—before you absorb it—you need to learn how to channel properly."

Tian Yi raised a brow. "You mean… I'm finally getting formal training?!"

Uncle Tian snorted. "Don't act so excited. You still breathe like a collapsing donkey."

"I do not!"

"Sit. Cross your legs.focus young master."

Tian Yi obeyed with a grumble, sitting in the middle of the backyard under the fading evening light. Uncle Tian sat opposite him, the grass swaying gently as the air grew still.

"Now",

Uncle Tian said, "close your eyes. Feel the energy around you. Don't force it. Breathe. Slowly. In… and out…"

Tian Yi inhaled. Slowly. Then—kachk! He choked. "Something flew in my nose!"

"That's a bug. Ignore it."

"This is spiritual harassment!"

Uncle Tian smacked the back of his head lightly. "Focus. Guide the qi into your lower dantian—below the navel. Picture it like a glowing sphere."

Tian Yi tried again. This time, the warmth from the jade in his hand began to seep deeper into his core. The breeze softened. The air thickened.

He felt it.

Tiny motes of energy dancing around him. Like dew caught in the light. The breath moved with rhythm, and with it, a stream of energy coiled into his body like a river finding its path.

He was like parched land that finally had its first rainfall for over a hundred years…

Finally, the feeling of spiritual qi passing through him—he could now replenish his energy without needing to eat in astronomical amounts.

Due to his special constitution, the nine yang dragon body,he was able to channel astral qi,but the qi of the natural elements were completely isolated to him—until now.

"Good," Uncle Tian said quietly. "Now… redirect it."

"How?"

"Visualize that energy flowing up your spine. Split it at the chest. Then down your arms. When you do that—focus it at your fingertips."

Tian Yi did as instructed. His palms tingled. Then sparked.

Suddenly, with a burst of wind, a crackle of energy surged from his hands, kicking up dirt and rustling the bamboo fencing nearby.

Tian Yi gasped. "I did that?!"

This was his first time using any other energy other than astral qi,and it seemed more powerful in comparison….

Uncle Tian smiled.

"Qi channeling. First level,done!!!.

Try again."

" What if I accidentally blow up our house?"

Uncle Tian stood and yawned. "Then you'd have to explain to your mom."

They spent the next hour repeating the flow. Each time, Tian Yi refined it. More control. More pressure. More reach. Eventually, Uncle Tian handed him a training scroll.

"These", he said, "are three foundational techniques you need to learn. Before You're ready to learn the Astral Sovereign-Art…but you will be,by the end of my time with you"….

He muttered under his breathe..

...

As night fell, Tian Yi stood under the moonlight, sweaty and glowing with exhilaration.

Uncle tian had long gone in to catch up with his parents on life..

For the first time, he didn't feel exhausted after training,he could finally cultivate like a normal person, his body absorbed the qi in the surroundings and helped him replenish his energy reserves.

He could also convert the qi around him to astral qi,by circulating the energy through his body into his dantian, while reciting his nine yang dragon body chants.

He felt capable.

This was his first giant step—to becoming a powerhouse in the cultivation world!!!

.....

Deep in the velvet pouch where the purple jade once lay… something pulsed beneath it,like an ominous eye, waiting for destruction…

Faint. But waiting.
