My brain screamed, my body ached like my blood was being heated but my adrenaline refused to give up, my grip tightened around the assassin's wrist got even tighter as she struggles to let go.

I knew all her tricks, From the knife throw to her movements when I pull of something like this, I slid out another knife, hurling it at her.

Luv's eyes widened as she tried to catch the the incoming knife, but it stabbed her palm as she tried to block.

There wasn't a gap in strength or speed between us, just the fact that the assassin was way more skillful, but skill means nothing when you are cornered like this.

Luvs eyes widened in horror, she underestimated me and now it was her turn to pay in blood.

Every second felf like eternity, every breath felt like I was breathing in razors, with every movement my body screamed at me to stop.

My whole body was exhausted, but I just had to hold on.

My hand around the female assassins wrist was a death grip.

She bled from her eyes ears and mouth as the percentage appoached the 90% mark, the energy in her was truly leaving her body as her flesh began to dry up.

By the 99% mark she eyes had lost its shine and her muscles relaxed.

My analysis were right, this means that she wasn't a sky rank individual, only an earth rank just like me but with more skill and experience.

I came back to the trophy room, quickly dismissed Amy and headed to the secluded garden to try out this new skill.

I arrived at the garden, and summoned the system screen to specify on the screen, maybe this will be a turning point in this battle.

The boost you get is directly portional to the amount of lost per second.

[Berserk - 1000mm per second(+80% stat boost]

I looked at the interface with a conflicting gaze," five perfect stat boost? Then my stats will be..." I pondered.

"Ahh.. I'm not good with math" I ruffled my hair.

At the end I just decided to try one out.

I could immediately fell something, my view of the garden brightened, the leaves became greener and brighter, my perception slowed, I looked in the distance to a tree that had a beetle on one of it's inner trunks.

I walked up to the tree in front of me and clenched my fist.

*Boom* my eyes widened.

The tree top flew across the yard hitting a nearby shed, turning it into a pile of rubble.

"Just how much more strength did I get ?" I immediately went to my system screen and checked the stats bar .

Honestly my stats didn't increase that much, but now that I think about it, I hadn't tested my strength out since I absorbed the assassins power in my past life so I didn't truly know how strong it was.

I looked at my palms, which was pulsating with subtlely glowing red veins stretching out to my fore arms and shoulders.

"How do I turn this off?"

I didn't quite think it through, how am I supposed to turn this skill off, will it keep running till I die??.

The system answered my question.

"Oh, just like I turn it on in the frist place.."

I concentrated. ' Blood ritual off ', I thought.

The pulsating veins under my fair skin dimmed to non-existence, and my vision improved.

I ran some tests with this skill, how fast I could activate it in a fight?, how fast I was on my feet when using it?, And one more thing, I noticed that my accuracy with the knife increases by a lot when I had blood ritual turned on.

I wanted to test out the super human boost but I figured that one would be too dangerous, so I want to keep it for intense situations.

Time passed and the sun has finally dimmed down and the glorious soft glow of the moon peeked through the horizon.

"It's finally time.." I looked at the mansion in the distance.
