Chapter 95-Rich
Walking through the nightmare realm felt unreal. Normally, Xiao shouldn't be capable of walking through here. Heck, the moment he tried to enter the real nightmare realm, he would die as the nightmare Qi would destroy him from the inside out. Plus, there's literally no light at that place, and any light that is created would be instantly snuffed out.
The entire place he was in looked darkish purple and black. The size of most of the things here was also huge. Since this is a virtual reality, Xiao's able to earn this 'immunity' that lets him freely walk here. Soon, he reached the market area where several things could be seen sold, and lots of different species were gathered as they bought and sold.
'All-Seer, point me towards the location where nightmare stones are being sold.'
Soon, a map appeared in front of him with several dots representing the places he asked for. Following it, he reached his first location where a nightmare creature stood. Displayed in front of him were several glowing black stones that gave off an eerie feel. After looking at it for some time, Xiao spoke,
"How much?"
"Each piece, 40 credits," the nightmare creature replied, its voice crackling. Before answering, it looked above Xiao's head, trying to see for any foreigner sign. Seeing none, he must have taken Xiao for a high-level merchant. Those who reached high levels had their foreign tag removed, and Xiao was aiming for this misunderstanding.
"Okay, give me everything you have."
The creature was shocked for a moment, but then a happy smile came to it. Although the smile looked extremely scary to Xiao, with a bit more chipper voice, the creature spoke,
"The total would be 40,000 credits."
"Sure, let's sign the contract."
And with that, the contract was signed, and the money was exchanged. Xiao nodded his head when he saw that he had received the ownership code of the stones.
"Will you be handling the delivery?"
The creature asked,
"Yes."
"Okay, just message me when you want it ready."
After this, Xiao traveled to the rest of the places where nightmare stones were being sold, buying all of them until all the money he brought was used. Finally, feeling satisfied with what he had, he requested another travel.
'All-Seer to sandsdome.'
A second later, he was in a sandy world where five suns covered the skies. The buildings were oddly shaped, most of them representing pyramids. The creatures of this realm, Sambures, were of similar height to humans, but they had yellow skin, three eyes, and a huge powerful tail from their backs. Look-wise, they were similar to humans.
Once again, Xiao just glanced at them as he started to walk toward his desired location, a huge pyramid where several Sambures could be seen walking. Entering inside, the whole scenery changed as several people could be seen walking around. Reaching the receptionist, he spoke,
"Hello, I am here to sell nightmare stones."
As soon as he spoke, the receptionist's eyes lit up. Becoming more serious, he spoke,
"How much?"
"About 10 million."
"Oh! Then please wait a moment, such a large transaction is above my authority. I will have you deal with my supervisor."
The receptionist replied this time, his voice being extremely respectful, he too noticing the missing mark above his head, big merchants mean big money. Xiao nodded his head, agreeing. Seeing it, the receptionist contacted his supervisor, and ten minutes later, Xiao was led into a room where another Sambure sat. The moment Xiao entered, his three eyes focused on him. Walking forward, he extended his hand,
"Hello, my name is Shane. It's nice to meet you."
"Dreadcloaks, that's my name."
Saying so, Xiao shook the man's hand, who understood that he was using an alias. Hence, he easily breezed forth,
"Come take a seat."
Hearing so, Xiao took a seat as Shane sat opposite him, his hands nervously rubbing against themselves.
"So, is it true that you have 10 million nightmare stones?"
"Yes."
"I see... that's good. We are willing to buy them all."
'He's nervous yet excited,' Xiao analyzed. He knew that the nightmare stones in his hand were extremely precious to these people as they had an extreme need for them. But getting their hands on them isn't easy. They are, after all, just a D+ rank realm, nothing to the nightmare realm. Hence, they have a severe lack of nightmare stones, and Xiao plans to capitalize on that. Leaning back on his chair, Xiao spoke,
"So, how much?"
His question caused Shane to flinch, but he soon regained himself as he spoke,
"We are willing to pay 500 credits for one nightmare stone."
'Oh... that's higher than I thought,' Xiao smiled. If the sale went through, he would have Five billion credits in his hand! This was from a single transaction, and there are still several realms and powers that lack certain resources, and Xiao could get it for them. A much simpler way to get rich.
'A simple manager can't do this transaction, this amount of money can only be moved by someone in higher positions...'
"Fine."
Finally, Xiao spoke, making the man let out a sigh. He soon whipped up a contract and sent it to Xiao, who started to read through it.
"Everything is fine, but the delivery shall be handled by you."
"Of course."
"Okay, just message me when you want it ready."
After this, Xiao traveled to a more secluded area and teleported again, appearing in the same dangerous place, richer than before. Finding the pawn shop, he entered inside, coming upon the same sight of Rammy who was smiling,
"Could it be you already spent all the money? Are you now looking for more?"
"No, I am here to pay back."
And with that, he transferred 1 million back, thereby canceling out the contract, making Rammy's smile stiffen.
"I did spend all the money, but I earned much more back."
With these words, Xiao left the shop with a silent Rammy. But this time, he didn't travel anywhere as he logged out. Soon, he opened his eyes back home to his bed. Several hours had already passed, and night had descended. Getting out of his bed, Xiao stretched a bit. Making sure everything was fine, he started to head for his night practice with his little sister.
Walking through the hallways, Xiao started to arrange his current earnings.
'With what I have planned, this is not enough.'
Knowing well about how consuming his cultivation technique was, Xiao knew that he was going to need more money. What he had was not enough. Soon, he reached the place where he practiced with his sister. But it was then that he saw someone unexpected. It was Valencia. She seemed to be talking to Xuanyin, who was clearly showing that she wasn't interested.
'She has already begun... huh.'
