"Let's enter the first tower," Xiao spoke, taking Li Lun with him. He could feel some ominous eyes focusing on them both, and right now, Xiao wasn't in any mood to deal with some kid with an overinflated ego, thinking that they were the kings of the world.

First, Xiao needs to know more about the current situation surrounding the tower before he takes any action. Deciding so, the two of them moved through the grand hall that was the beginner hall of the tower towards a more discreet area. Upon reaching so, Xiao turned towards Li Lun as he asked,

"Tell me everything you know about the tower, don't miss any details."

Hearing so, Li Lun nodded her head as she began to talk about all the information she knew about the tower. Xiao stayed focused as he kept listening to the information with a focused gaze, not letting any information leave his mind. While doing so, he talked to the new addition to his entourage,

'Mia, tell me, do I rule the tower?'

[[No, master.]]

This answer didn't discourage Xiao as he asked,

'Then give me the overview of the current situation.'

Upon hearing so, Mia started to explain.

[[It won't be wrong to say that you are partially the master, but you have yet to win the true recognition.]]

[[I am the controller of all information that rules over this tower. That means hidden bosses, treasures, items, stigmas, beast eggs, ways to win, challenges that will come your way, everything will be at your fingertips.]]

'So what should I do to become the real owner?' Xiao asked.

[[You have to conquer the 99th floor.]]

'Um? But I thought that this tower was conquered?'

[[That's not true. Due to an agreement made years ago, the inheritors of the constellation are allowed to train and grow here. Each floor of the tower at the beginning is remade to match the trials that the constellation made for their successors, in other words, there exists another fake trials being created using the towers ability tailored for the legacy holders.]]

[[The inheritors can also climb like the inhabitants of the tower, with more advantages to them, being that they can leave and enter the tower as they wish, when they climb to the top, the true trails to reach the 99th floor would begin, its at the 99th floor that lay the trial to conquer the tower.]]

This revelation matched with what Xiao knows as his eyes narrowed, his mind playing through several scenarios as he questioned,

'Then why did no one take up the real challenge, why was even the constellation kept at dark about this?'

[[The constellations aren't kept at the dark, its just they never got to enter this tower or take a part in it, only their chosen legacy holders can enter here freely and leave.]]

This quietened Xiao down as he took in his arrogant words of Mia, but he didn't reject it as he questioned,

'Who made the tower?'

[[All that information was erased from my ego long ago.]]

'Was he your master?'

[[No, all I know is that whoever it was created me.]]

Xiao's mind started to play several scenarios in his mind, the information that he received making things much more confusing. Just who did the tower belong to that it deemed constellations ones that reached the power level to leave their legacies within the cosmos unworthy? It was then that it clicked on Xiao,

'Wait? Was this agreement made with the constellations to search for a talent that could inherit this tower?'

[[Yes, master.]]

Mia's answer confirmed his theory, causing his mind to cook up several theories. He wasn't going to let this topic last for another day, Xiao needed more information,

'So till now, no one worthy to take up the real challenge was found?'

Xiao asked.

[[Yes, master.]]

'Then am I worthy?'

Xiao called out that since Mia had joined him, she had gained the right to look into his talents.

[[Yes.]]

'So everything matches....'

From what Xiao understood, all the constellations keep their trials of growth here, with each trial tailored to their legacy holders, which itself consists of different levels depending on the desire of the constellation but that's not the real objective of the constellation, the real objective it would seem is the true 99 floors to climb.

One consisting of several hardened trials, with its own inhabitants taken away and kept in the tower never to leave, yet the inhabitants themselves strive to reach the top of the tower, while the constellations themselves plan behind the scenes to get their legacy holder to the top under the guise of training them.

"Xiao, did you understand all that?"

Li Lun asked, to which Xiao nodded his head. While he was talking with Mia, he also was dealing with Li Lun. It all works due to his other skill {Mind Split}, helping him work on different issues at a single moment.

"Yes, I got it all, so you want to enter now?"

Xiao asked, to which Li Lun nodded with a happy smile on her face. She once again confined up to his hand, seemingly to mark her territory, though Xiao understood that she had yet to embrace all her sides.

It's the same with Yurou, the two possessive girls have yet to embrace their whole selves.

'When the two of them find out about each other, they will surely try to kill the other.'

Xiao thought, but he wasn't worried. The two of them are powerful on their own, and killing the other won't be easy. Plus, both their backgrounds will surely make it such that the two of them won't be able to go on an all-out slaughter.

Not unless they want a war that brings two different high-ranked realms to battle.

'Li Lu has yet to know about her true lineage.'

Xiao peeked at Li Lun as he thought so, and soon the two of them kept walking after which they reached an ominous-looking portal. Just as the two of them stood before the portal, a very familiar blue light came from the top of the portal, scanning both Xiao and Li Lun.

"Inheritor Li Lun of The Void Empress Of Endless End detected."

"Registering information..."

"Assigning the assisting male as a companion..."

"Opening portal to the trials."

Just as the words were over, the portal before the two of them started to shake and swirl before after which it became grey in color. Seeing it, Xiao looked at Li Lun with a smile as he spoke,

"You ready?"

"Always."

Li Lun immediately replied, and upon hearing so, the two of them walked through the portal, disappearing under the eyes of many who gazed at the two new additions to the Tower Of Trials, hoping to know which constellations the two of them belonged to. Even within the constellations, there are those that are strong and weak.

While some gazed with desiring looks, both Xiao and Li Lun felt their body shift after which the two of them appeared within a walkway that was shrouded in mist. The two of them appeared in the same manner, with Li Lun clutching onto Xiao. At the place they were, the two of them were unable to see ahead.

To the sides were two huge walls while ahead lay fog through which sight was impossible. Subtle powerful void Qi surrounded the vast walkway, but thanks to the gift of Teresa, Xiao didn't now need to awaken his cloak to deal with the void Qi around him. It was now a bit more familiar to him.

"Feel the thread of the Void Qi that is spread about and find your way out..."

"But be warned, a small mistake in sensation, then you lay defeated..."

The emotionless voice was heard, informing the two about the trials that lay ahead.

'Mia?'

[[Yes, master.]]

'You know the way out?'

[[I know everything.]]

'Cool, help me when I ask.'

[[Of course, master.]]

After speaking so, he looked toward Li Lun as he spoke,

"How do you feel?"

"I can sense these threads that lead us, but it's quite hard to keep a tight grasp of it."

Li Lun replied to which Xiao nodded his head. He couldn't really sense these threads, unlike Li Lun, he isn't gifted with power over the Void.

"Looks like this trial is for you to get a better grasp of void Qi."

"Looks so."

Li Lun nodded her head as she took the lead.

"I will take the lead."

She spoke as she started to walk ahead.
