Chapter 26: Undead Plane
After dasing out of the Inn, Ayaan arrived in the deserted area. However, he still looked around to confirm if anyone was present.
Since he didn't find anyone, Ayaan's expression relaxed and opened the 'Planers and Dimensions' option.
1: Volcanic Plane
2: Snow Plane
3: Void Vale
4: Illusion Plane…
One after other, Hundreds of names appeared in front of Ayaan, which made his head dizzy. As he looked at the names of planes, he felt like everything was a dream and will disappear as he opens his eyes.
Nonetheless, he still proceeded these planes one by one. Finally, he saw a plane that piqued his interest.
Undead Plane…
Since long he had decided, he will follow the 'School of Necromancy.' However, now he could practice all the elements and had the talent to study all eight schools of magic. Nonetheless, he still decided to start with 'Necromancy.'
After reading the details of the 'Undead Plane,' he knew, there will be lots of undead in this world, which he could use to practice 'Necromancy.' Moreover, he didn't need to worry about getting killed by those creatures, because no one below 'Heaven Mage' could kill him.
Death element was for controlling death, and if the practitioner of death element doesn't practice 'Necromancy,' he should just stop practicing death elements.
However, Ayaan realized a very critical problem: he didn't know any spell other than 'Death Eye.'
Afterward, he opened the spell section and went for the death elemental spells.
In front of his eye, the variety of death spells appeared — Ray of Sickness, Life Transference, Raise Dead, Resurrection, Circle of Death, Controlling Undead…
"Oh? There are lots of new spells that appeared," Ayaan started to smile ear to ear as he saw the number of spells and their functions.
Without wasting his time, Ayaan purchased the 'Raise Dead' and 'Undead Control.'
Afterward, he purchased one more spell, 'Soul Devour.' The 'Soul Devour' could devour the souls of others and strengthen the soul of its user.
The 'Death Eye' also attacks the soul of an opponent, but it didn't affect its user's soul.
While, on the other hand, 'Soul Devour' will help to strengthen the soul of Ayaan. Eventually, as his soul becomes stronger, he will be able to control more powerful undead. Although his soul still could enhance as he levels up his magic power. However, it's speed will decrease.
After spending more than two hundred credits to purchase three heaven rank spells, Ayaan again opened the planer window and selected the 'Undead Plane.'
Ding: Please, select the number of people who want to go to the "Undead Plane."
Ding: Please, select the time you want to remain in the "Undead Plane."
Immediately, notifications started to appear in front of Ayaan. A surprised look showed up at his face, 'Does this mean I can take more people in these planes?' Ayaan wondered.
Still, he didn't dwell on it and immediately chose the option.
Ding: Be ready for the teleportation.
"Swish~."
"Ohh shit!!"
Promptly, a portal appeared near Ayaan and sucked him under it. In just a matter of seconds, there was no trace in this deserted street of anyone, and everything again fell into pin-drop silence.
Simultaneously, in a silent place filled with dark-black energy, the smell of death was everywhere in this alien world. Moreover, no trace of life was present at this place — Only the eerie feeling of death, mixed in the core of this world.
"Ahh!!"
However, the tranquility of the place didn't last much longer, because, at this time, a shout disturbed everything.
"Grr~Grr~."
Subsequently, the weird noises started to appear from the surrounding. Afterward, the bodies of different shapes began to emerge from the ground. However, after emerging, they didn't move anywhere but turned to look at where the shout came.
Eventually, the small portal started to form at the place, and the body of a boy was thrown out of it.
"Fuck! At least, give the warning before acting," a curse resounded in the quiet environment.
Afterward, Ayaan turned around to see his surrounding. However, what he saw made his expression to froze.
In front of him were standing at least twenty or something skeletons, some were the skeletons of monsters while others were the skeletons of humans. However, the structure of these skeletons was more significant than the ordinary human being. Therefore, he wasn't sure if they really were the humans previously or something else.
Some of them still had some flesh hanging on their bodies, and puss was leaking out from it. Moreover, worms were eating the flesh from inside. On the other hand, a few of the skeletons just had white shining bones without any infection.
Nonetheless, it wasn't time for standing and contemplating something, because he was in real shit at this moment.
"Roaar!"
One of the skeletons of the beasts roared and lunged at Ayaan.
"Howl!"
The first roar was just like a trigger — in just a matter of seconds, the tranquil environment echoed with eerie and dreadful shrieks.
"Shit!"
Not waiting for even a second, Ayaan started to sprint away from these hideous creatures and disgusting creatures.
Those creatures were just at the level of novice mage and couldn't run very fast. In only two minutes, Ayaan left them behind. However, at this time, one skeleton which had shining apparent white bones was still chasing behind Ayaan, and its speed also wasn't any slower than him.
Later, when Ayaan realized this skeleton's presence, he tried to see its level, and information appeared on its head.
Skeleton
Race: Human
Bloodline: N/A
Level: 5th level junior mage
Strength: 30
Chances of controlling: 70%
As Ayaan saw the details about the skeleton, his eyes started to shine. He knew these skeletons couldn't use magic because they had no soul. For becoming a mage, soul power was essential, without powerful soul mage can't achieve anything significant in this world, and without a soul, no one could cast a spell.
However, due to this world's environment, all the magic power inside these skeletons converted into physical strength — For increasing their strength, these types of low-class undead creatures devour the body of other powerful undead creatures.
Nevertheless, as Ayaan saw the chances of controlling, he became thrilled. This creature was already more powerful than him. Moreover, if he were able to control this skeleton, it would be able to help him a bit.
However, he didn't know that his chances were this high because the creature had no soul of its own. If it were the undead who started to develop its consciousness, his chances of controlling it would also decrease.
Afterward, Ayaan took out a parchment that had the spell 'Undead Control.' Although he had purchased the spell from the 'Magic Library,' he still didn't remember it. That's why he used parchment to cast the spell. However, he still didn't slow down because the skeleton was just behind him.
After five minutes later, his spell was ready. At this moment, he abruptly turned around and used the spell on the skeleton.
"Shriek!"
Eventually, a piercing shriek left from the skeleton — Ayaan, who was not far from it immediately closed his ears by both of his hands. 'How the fuck this skeleton could produce shriek like that without a vocal cord!?' He cursed inside his head.
Finally, when he realized that skeleton had fallen on the ground, he took off his hands from his ears, but they were still buzzing and affected by the previous noise.
Suddenly, Ayaan felt some kind of link had been established between him and the skeleton.
Slowly, Skeleton looked towards Ayaan with its hollow eyes but didn't move; neither made any noise.
"Stan up," Ayaan said, and the skeleton immediately followed his order and stood up.
"Hahaha!!" a burst of laughter escaped from his mouth.
"My first undead creature! Haha!"
"Roar!"
"Howl!"
"Shriek!"
Immediately, the series of howls resounded from not far away from him.
"Fuck!" Ayaan cursed loudly. The moment he saw the previous mob of undead creatures had caught up to him.
Instantly, one man and a skeleton started to sprint away while the mob of Undead creatures followed from behind.
