Chapter 214: Bait
Everywhere the people of the Palace roamed and tried to find Ayaan's trash. People talked about the defeat of the Palace but no one from the Heavenly Palace cared about it. Everyone found it strange and out of the character for them to not take action. But no one knew they cared little about these puny and stupid tricks anymore. Their Leader was out of his seclusion and cared no more about little nuisance such as Alexander. He was after something else, and only a few knew what he was after, actually.
The soldiers of the Palace searched every nook and cranny of the Central Continent. However they could not find Ayaan, nor any trace. Though they got the news about the disappearance of the Seventh and Eighth elders. When Leader heard about it, he only spat on the ground and ordered them to continue their searches.
Ayaan and his group sat in the tavern of the Dota, the capital of the Dralyra Empire. After torturing and tormenting and questioning, Ayaan found it was the Third Elder who ordered them to search for Ayaan. He wanted the secret of the Tower from Ayaan. Ayaan also asked about their leader, but neither of them knew much about their leader. Only the top three elders had the permission to meet him. Even in them the first and second were always in the seclusion and third took care of many things in the absence of others.
After getting information from them Ayaan gave them a painful death. After all if he was defeated or captured by them his end would be even worse than this and he had no doubt about that. After all, being gracious to your enemies is equal to being cruel to yourself, and Ayaan would never be cruel to himself. After all he had wives to feed and children to make in the future.
As for why he came to the Dralyra Empire was simple because his mister father-in-law was in this place. The second reason was that he felt bored sitting in the same place. He had become so accustomed to fighting that he could not sit around and relax for a long time, seeing no trouble. All in all, he came here to find some trouble.
"Both of them were useless, even though they were elders of the palace." Leafwhisk voiced, frowning. "This Heavenly Palace isn't simple."
"Not Heavenly Palace but this so-called Leader." Ayaan also creased his brows. "We know nothing about him."
"Hmm, how about this," Leafwhisk suggested after contemplating for a moment. "We should spread news about our visit here."
"But why?" Noor sprang to her feet. "Won't they send their strongest elders then? They are at the Butterfly Realm!"
Ayaan looked at her and smiled. "That is the whole reason behind her words."
Noor blinked at him and then at Leafwhisk, as if she understood something. "So were are going to become a bait to capture the fish?"
'"Indeed." Ayaan slapped his thigh. "I hope that guy Bara won't do anything stupid. He isn't a bad guy. I hope he will live peacefully."
"Do you believe he could live his life peacefully?" Leafwhisk asked. "Living a lonely life without your loved ones is the most tormenting thing in this world."
Ayaan gazed at Leafwhisk and he could see the deep hidden sadness in her eyes and he felt as if his heart was torn from his chest. He did not know why. Maybe because he had also lived that lonely life after his parents left him. But indeed even he could not compare his life with Leafwhisk who had spent thousands of years inside the tower lonely. If it was him, Ayaan thought, he would have gone insane a long time before. What kind of willpower one would need to drive herself to live and live?
Maybe he would know the full story. After all he had many visions about her life with that boy named Nolan. He wanted to know what had happened with her and Eva and Nolan—Leafwhisk looked at him and said. "I will send my clone to spread the news. I need to find trees or bushes to form a clone. Excuse me." She said and stood up and went out of the room.
She went out, leaving Noor, Isobel, Rebecca, Ayaan and, of course, Ifre and Akash in the room. Ayaan turned towards Noor and Isobel and said. "If you want to meet your father, you can go."
Isobel looked at him and shook her head before replying. "Enemies could attack any time. I won't leave you alone."
Though Noor was silent, Ayaan could see her decision on her face. "It's decided then, we will wait for them to attack. But you two…" he turned towards Ifre and AKash. "You two will not go into battle."
"But I am strong." Akash said and Ifre nodded from behind.
"Not strong enough."
Though both of them were dissatisfied with this decision. Neither of them denied Ayaan.
Ayaan nodded and turned towards his women. "I heard that the Emperor of this Empire pretended to be against the Palace but betrayed...Ale… umm.. father -in-law at the last moment?"
Noor and Isobel blushed at hearing his last word. However after spending so much time with someone as shameless as Ayaan, they had also cultivated their skin to an entirely different level. "Indeed, that bastard deserves hundred deaths." Noor replied.
"Hmm, I think we have to solve this emperor's matter first. Or he could become a nuisance at the time of battle. Though he isn't a threat. He could still order a large army to attack us. Though i don't mind killing people, but I would avoid if I could."
Hearing Ayaan's words, all of their eyes widened. Why didn't they think about it before? They were going to leave such a loophole behind.
"Alright, you don't need to come with me. I will solve this matter on my own." Ayaan said and stood up.
