He Became the Aunt of His Best Friend after Waking Up

Chapter 14 - Searching for Cameras

Chapter 14: Searching for Cameras

“You’re my man, but I’m not your boy!” Chen thought to himself.

Chen knew it couldn’t be spoken out because he didn’t want to be treated like a psychopath. But he still felt pissed off!

“Yes, you’re my man. Then what? You still have to bath on your own.”

Chen strode out of the ward with this reply, feeling inexplicably cheerful.

But he regretted it soon when he got into the elevator. It was truly inconvenient for Bo. What if he really went to ask someone else to help him take a bath? Although Chen kept criticizing Bo as being an old man, Bo did not look old at all in fact. He appeared young and he was very handsome. What was more, his figure was so perfect … No way! Chen couldn’t allow Bo’s naked body to be seen by others while they haven’t got divorced anyway!

Chen pressed the key in time to hold the elevator’s door and rushed out. He went straight to the sickbed after entering Bo’s ward.

Bo was speaking with his friend on the phone, “No big deal. I can get discharged tomorrow.” Suddenly Chen went up to undo his hospital gown. He froze and paused for a few seconds before asking, “What are you doing?”

“Take off your clothes.” Chen began to undo the last but one button of his hospital gown.

Bo raised his eyebrows, “So impatient, huh?”

“Well, I’m sure you’re all right. I’ll leave you alone.” Yu hung up the phone. Bo put down his phone smilingly, reached for Chen’s waist, and pressed him into his arms, “Why do you take off my clothes?”

“Bath.” Chen undid the last button.

Bo, “Why did you suddenly change your mind?”

Chen, “I am happy!”

“Oh? Then do you want to do something that will make you happier?”

“Shut up!” Chen dragged Bo into the bathroom, took the shower head off the fixed frame, and lowered his head to adjust the water temperature. “Don’t think that I don’t know what’s going on in your head. I’m gonna write your ass up if you say one more word.”

“All right.” Bo did remain silent during the bath later. Nor did he do anything improper.

It made Chen very uncomfortable. What was more, when it came to Bo’s lower body, Chen blushed with great embarrassment.

Damn it, why did Bo say nothing? Chen stared hard at Bo’s thighs, and dared not look aside. But in his mind, Chen had already been shrieking earlier on. “Speak, speak, speak. Hurry to say something! Whatever!”

“Little Shi.”

“Ah!” Chen looked up. “You call me?”

“It’s too hot.” Bo said.

“Oh, sorry.” When Chen was about to adjust the water temperature, something suddenly occurred to him. He turned around to look at Bo, “What did you just call me?”

“Hot.” Bo reached out to put the shower head to the other side.

It turned out Chen had switched it to the wrong side in nervousness just now. Chen apologized again and adjusted the water to the right temperature. Chen stood there stiffly, looking down at the water brushing his hands. “Why do you call me that?” Chen asked.

“Isn’t that your nickname?” Bo said, “I heard it from Feng Ma.”

Chen breathed a sigh of relief, helped wash the foam off Bo’s body, and then wiped him with a bath towel. Bo was very cooperative. He would lift his arms or spread his legs as soon as Chen asked. That thing of his in his crotch semi-erected but behaved well.

It was not like him.

Chen looked up and collided right with his eyes.

Chen froze.

Bo frowned slightly. After staring at Chen for a moment with a complex expression, he then said, “I’m your man. I sleep with you every day. But you should tell an outsider your nickname instead of me.”

Chen, “…”

Bo, “I’m angry.”

Chen was speechless for Bo’s throwing a tantrum though at an old age.

“Give you a chance to make it up to me.” Bo undid the bathrobe strap that Chen had just tied up for him and pressed Chen’s shoulder over there.

Sure enough, it was still the old man with full of sperm worms in his head. He had showed not a single change! Chen slapped his hand away, glowered at him, turned around and was about to stride out when Bo quickly caught him, bowed his head and buried his face into Chen’s shoulders. Bo laughed at first, then leaned his head to take Chen’s earlobe into his mouth and gently licked it, “My little cute.”

Chen was made embarrassed by that hot stick at his back waist. He frowned impatiently, “Let me go. I’m going back.”

“To where?”

“Home!”

“Where I am is home.” Bo rubbed on Chen’s waist and then walked out holding him. “Please, stay with me.”

Chen stayed after all, though with no particular reason. He just thought Bo pitiful. It was not even convenient for him to eat.

With Chen’s warning in advance, Bo had remained quite well-behaved all day long. He only made some jokes occasionally, which made Chen felt also very relaxed. In the evening, Chen habitually nestled in Bo’s arms, with his face attached to Bo’s chest. Bo suddenly opened his mouth and said something, which instantly drove all Chen’s drowsiness away.

He said, “Little Shi, what do you want for your birthday next Wednesday?”

Chen sat up immediately, “How do you know it’ll be my birthday that day?” Not waiting for Bo to answer, Chen continued interrogating, “Please don’t say it’s what Feng Ma told you. I haven’t told her that!”

“What are you nervous about?” Bo said calmly, “Why is it strange for me to know when it’s your birthday while we’ve been married?”

Chen froze in uncertainty for a moment, and then realized Bo was talking about Ke Zhen’s birthday.

Chen was also to blame for he was really hiding something from Bo. With Bo calling him “Little Shi” just now, it had made Chen too nervous.

But it was also a little strange because Ke Zhen had the same birthday as Chen? Chen wondered whether this was the reason he had taken over Ke Zhen’s body.

“Oh, I’m not nervous. I’ve just …” Chen tried to smooth things over. “Forgotten when my birthday is.”

Bo looked at Chen with a half-smile, “You’ve forgotten quite a lot.”

Chen giggled.

“You can take your time with the gift. There’s still time.” Bo held Chen into his arms again. “Sleep.”

Chen was already about to fall asleep. It was Bo who had scared him up. Chen felt it awful and said sulkily, “I can’t fall asleep!”

“Well, perfect. I can’t either.” Bo gestured to take off his pants. “How about some exercise?”

Chen hurriedly clamped his legs tight. Considering that he was an injured patient, Chen tried to refrain himself from thumping him. He only scolded “Hood” in response. And then Chen turned over, closed his eyes and went to sleep.

Chen heard Bo talking on the phone that he would be discharged from the hospital tomorrow and thought he was just making a joke. But Chen realized it was not the second day.

“You’ve got very dark shadows under your eyes. What’s up? Didn’t you sleep well last night?” Bo asked before getting in the car.

How dared this man ask! Chen spent the whole night carefully thinking about all the words and actions of Bo. And the more he thought about it, the more he felt that something was wrong. It was like Bo seemed to know something, or at least doubted something.

Anyway, their conversation was weird every time. When Chen was discharged from the hospital, Bo had said that he had gained a bad temper after the car accident and praised him for being cute. And the unspeakable thing in the kitchen. And he even asked in the middle, “Hasn’t the school ever taught you the idiom that courtesy demands reciprocity?”

The School! It was really strange. But it should have taken so long for Chen to discover this strange word!

If Bo was really probing intentionally because of suspicion at that time, then the old man would be just too crafty!

“Why do you look at me like that?” Bo leaned back in the leather chair, with his lips curled up smilingly. “Is there something on my face?”

Chen had concluded that Bo was an old scheming man and did not want to talk to him. With Chen not speaking, Bo also remained silent.

Though they both remained silent in the car all the way back home, the atmosphere was not embarrassing, which was probably because Bo seemed rather relaxed.

Chen began rummaging through the cabinets as soon as Bo went upstairs to rest after they got back home. Seeing that Chen kept rummaging around high places and even stepped on the stool whenever he couldn’t reach those places, Feng Ma worried that he would fall, so she went up and asked Chen. Chen shook his hands towards her, and continued to grope around on the top of the cupboard.

When Liang came back, Chen had already checked every corner of the hall as carefully as he could and tired himself out.

But he found nothing.

Feng Ma had given up persuading Chen and went into the kitchen to prepare dinner. Liang was also curious so he asked Chen what he was looking for. Chen drank two large glasses of water, wiped his mouth, and looked left and right mysteriously. Only then did he beckon to Liang.

Liang leaned over cooperatively and Chen murmured to his ear, “I suspect that your uncle has already started doubting my identity.”

Liang’s first reaction was that it was made by Yu. But he was reluctant to believe that he was such a man who easily broke his words. He frowned and was silent for a moment.

“Why do you think so?” Liang asked.

Chen, “Guts!”

Liang, “…”

Chen’s guts worked too late anyway for he had been with Liang’s uncle so long.

“I really mean it. This feeling was especially strong last night. I even suspect that he knows I’m not Ke Zhen from the very beginning!”

Liang, “How’s that possible? He’s not some god.”

Chen, “What if he is one?”

Liang replied with indifference, “How long have you been with him that you’ve regarded him as your idol?”

Chen, “I’m saying he’s a god, not some idol!”

Liang, “Isn’t it the same?”

Chen, “You … you’ve been unreasonable!”

Liang frowned and asked, “What were you looking for?”

Chen, “Cameras.”

Liang, “…”

“I think it should be like this. If your uncle had doubted my identity and our relationship from the very beginning, he would have secretly installed cameras at home to see what you and I had done while he was away. Year, it must be one part of his conspiracy to allow you move in? We’ve been too silly. He had fooled both of us!”

Liang could not help interrupting him, “It is you who are stupid.”

Chen was unhappy hearing that, “Apart from PE and chemistry, you failed in as many subjects as I did. You’re no smarter than me.”

Liang, “No.”

Chen laughed, reached out to thump him, “Come on, be serious. Don’t you think my suspicion is very reasonable? I’m telling you, your uncle wasn’t at home the day you moved in, but he knew everything we’ve done after he came back from work. Don’t you think it’s weird?”

Liang asked, “What have we done?”

Chen answered, “Well, we hugged!”

“Oh.” Liang raised his hand to touch his new buzz cut hair.

“Cool hairstyle.” Chen praised and continued saying, “What do you mean by ‘oh’? Aren’t you nervous at all? If your uncle knew it …”

Chen suddenly didn’t know how to say.

What effect could it have if Bo knew it? The worst outcome would be a divorce but wouldn’t that be better? Chen did want a divorce.

Liang did not know how to answer, either. He was also stuck. He was truly nervous from the start. He was worried that Chen’s identity would be exposed, and he was afraid that Bo would grow interested in Chen. But after he got to know Cheng Yu, he gradually became less nervous. But this was an unnormal phenomenon. Yu could break his promise any time, so no matter whether Yu’s alleged power was real or not, he did know Chen’s real identity and Liang was supposed to be much more worried …

But the reality was Liang was no longer as worried as he used to be. When Chen said “If your uncle knew it” just now, Liang was actually thinking it didn’t matter whether his uncle knew it or not. He thought it no longer mattered no matter what was gonna happen.

Liang had already cared not that much whether Chen would be with Bo and end up being his aunt.

Liang turned his head and looked at Chen, thinking that it was not unacceptable for Chen to be his aunt. It was interesting, wasn’t it?

Chen didn’t figure it out and was still trapped in his previous chaotic thoughts. It was Liang who broke the silence in the end.

“Have you checked the chandelier?”

Chen, “… what?”

“Cameras.” Liang pointed to the vintage crystal European chandelier overhead.

Chen was in a daze for a while, then looked up, and said a moment later, “No.”

Liang got up and went to the sundries’ room. As soon as he returned with a ladder, he saw Bo coming downstairs.

Liang held the ladder, “…”

Chen supported Liang, “…”

“What are you doing?” Bo came over, had a look at the ladder and then the chandelier above his head. “Didn’t Mr. Zeng come here just two days ago?” Mr. Zeng was responsible for the cleaning and maintenance of lamps and lanterns in the villa.

Liang began to scratch his head again. “Uncle, it’s this …”

Knowing that Liang would not be able to smooth things over even if to give him another five minutes, Chen simply elbowed Liang, pulled him away, and climbed up the ladder straightforwardly. Chen didn’t answer Bo’s questions, thinking that a look up there would make everything clear. If there was really nothing, he could still cope with it by just saying, “I am happy. I just wanna have a look over there.”

“Take care.” Bo warned Chen with concern.

Chen continued climbing upward.

“Take care not to knock the camera off.”

Chen almost fell down.

Bo plonked himself down in the sofa and laughed out with his shoulders trembling.
