Kailen's figure flickered. He turned into a streak of light ,disappearing from his previous spot,only to encounter a group of individuals led by a young man with crimson hair and strangely, blue eyes in a desert like region where he had noticed he could hunt for strong diabolic beasts to gain points easily and quickly.

" Friend , we are all rank 3 stage Ascendant level lifeforms. In my opinion ,you seem outnumbered . Just kill yourself , else we will give you a more painful death"

The individual spoke as he stared at Kailen with disdain and ridicule .

Kailen sighed .

Where did all these fools keep popping up from?

What was the use of these clichèd trash talk all the time.

A terrifying tsunami started forming infront of the arrogant young master who had just spoken when he lifted up his hands.

Kailen stared at him ,completely unthreathened by the gentleman's show of power as the individual continued in his cringe monologue.

"I am Anda Stormrider from the phantom drift territorial domain. Genius of geniuses. Feel proud to die by my -"

Before Anda Stormrider could finish speaking, obsidian spears made of shadows condensed from several hundreds of Kailen's rank 2 beginner stage Ascendant level shadow creatures in the shadow expanse.

The obsidian spears shot out from Kailen's shadow expanse ,moving swiftly under his control with otherworldly speed towards Anda Stormrider and company .

Before Anda Stormrider and Co could even register what had happened , the light of life flickered out of their eyes ,as gaping holes appeared in their temples,the tornado Anda Stormrider formed ,dissapearing.

They slumped down lifelessly on the desert sand, kicking up a cloud of dust as their blood painted the desert ground, as the spears that claimed their lives dissapeared . The look in their eyes was one of shock. Certainly ,in their final moments ,they had never envisioned this was how they would die.

Kailen did not even spare then a glance as he streaked past them casually as though what he had just done was nothing remarkable.

The moment he streaked past them,their corpses dissapeared into his space ring.

Kailen nodded in satisfaction.

Suddenly, the ground shook and trembled .

Ginormous creatures boasting several kilometers begin to appear from the ground.

"Sandworms huh. Takes me back to my time in the university tower on earth"

The sandworms shot towards Kailen with otherworldly speed, a sharp contrast to their ginormous sizes.

Kailen walked calmly , his hands in his pockets , a sharp contrast to the chaos about to unfold .

His perception, shadow sense , elemental mirroring was fully at work . He wouldn't take any chances.

His senses were heightened completely.

If any enemy came from any angle, he'd know and he would attack .

Several 100 of them were approaching Kailen, from the north, the south ,the east and the west.

Kailen however didn't have to move .

" I've been ignoring some of the perks of shadow manipulation for too long " He mused .

The very shadows of the sandworms that had shot towards him flickered , their ethereal forms shifting into obsidian arrows that bore into their eyes,impaling their movements.

The obsidian arrows bore into their beings further,impaling their innards and claiming their lives. The creatures plummeted on the desert sand, the impact causing vibrations to spread on the desert and kicking up a cloud of dust.

In the span of a few moments ,several hundreds of rank 1 beginner stage ascendant level sandworms had died,and Kailen didn't even have to lift a finger.

Kailen ignored the notification of the points he had obtained as he walked calmly on the desert.

He didn't even stare at the rankings . In his opinion ,it wouldn't matter because at the end of the day , being at the top was what mattered to him.

However he knew he had to find stronger enemies in order to make that a possibility.

So Kailen encountered different monsters and got rid of them .

The numbers became uncountable.

Very soon, the sandworms and other desert creatures seemed to have registered his presence and avoided him.

" Seems I have to switch locations"

Using tenebrous Requiem, he gazed through the eyes of several shadow creatures scouting some regions and killing some diabolic beasts and annoying participants for him.

" Finally, a region where I can commit a massacre. But I gotta say, I'm getting a lot of points. Apart from my personal strolls ,some of my shadow creatures spread across different places are doing the same too"

Kailen was literally multitasking.

Any kill of his shadow creatures was registered as his kill too.

Wasn't this simply cheating?

Brushing these thoughts to the back of his mind, used Umbral replacement and disappeared from his current location .

His rank, a rank 2 beginner stage ascendant level lifeform. Yet, thanks to his monstrous elemental Physique and physical strength privy to all titans , he could fight and even defeat opponents there sub ranks above him. He was not just a genius , Esimo was a monster.

Currently , he was engaged in a feirce battle with a rank 5 beginner stage ascendant level diabolic beast.

Relentless clashes between beast and Titan resounded ,causing the air itself to recoil in fear.

Their figures, moved like streaks of light ,clashing in relentless strides , each clash causing the very atmosphere to shriek in awe.

Hammer met sharp claw.

Fists shrouded in flames met terrifying maw.

Over and over again.

Different attacks of different magnitudes tore through the void .

Each one lethal, packed with sheer ,unrelenting desire to end the other's life.

The battle ,watched in sheer silence by the stunned spectators from all across the empire , came to a conclusion.

Finally, the beast plummeted down from the clouds towards the sea on which they fought like a fallen comet.

However it was not dead. Esimo felt it. The creature would self detonate ,an attempt to claim his life with it to the world of the dead.

" Ice prison"

Esimo took no chances , a prison of ice materialised into a existence , pulsing with otherworldly and searing intensity.

It plummeted towards the sea with sheer speed.

Then...it happened.

The sound of an explosion rung throughout the sea and spread outwards, causing the waves to rise like giants exiting a period of prolonged hybernation for battle.

Esmo had dissapeared from his usual spot, reappearing several hundreds of kilometers away from his previous location.

" Even after containing the explosion . It's good I didn't take any chances"

The holographic screen for the exams appeared,confirming the death of the creature ,as he was awarded an extremely large number of points.

With this, he smiled.

Certain that his first place was cemented.

Esimo didn't know , that he was more wrong than he had ever thought .
